How to Tune a Ukulele?

The first step in learning ukulele is to tune,beginner needs a tuner.

We press the tuner into Ukulele mode, clip it on the head of the head, and then twist the peg while plucking the strings, 4 strings standard corresponding to 4G, 3 strings

Answer:	It has more of an acoustic-electric sound than electric, but it isn't going to be a very clear sound. The pick up itself doesn't really have much Distortion to it. We tried one in a banjo, but it sounded like a cheap pickup on an electric guitar. But I had better results when I put one in my ukulele. And in a mandolin. I ran the ukulele through some Distortion, and it actually sounded kind of cool. Almost like a Cigar Box Guitar.

Answer:	If you have never used this with a preamp then you have to drill a hole at the top of the wood bridge and take out any shims . You should go on google and look a the proper installing of this kind of pickup you will need a preamp also installed on your acoustic as well. This pickup is for a preamp that this type pickup is damaged or the wires have been broken

Answer:	Actually, that's exactly what I've built. This is an excellent piezo that will sound good no matter where you put it, but I experimented a bit and found two best locations: 1. inside the box, "soundboard" (panel where the bridge lays), directly under where the bridge is located: this gives the most faithful rendition of the string vibration, which may be a bit tinny. 2. as in #1, but in the center of the soundboard rather than under the bridge; this will be different from #1, especially if your bridge is not in the center of the box: this is where vibrations are the highest, and it tends to enhance bass tones a bit. I put my pickup at position 2 because I wanted the bass effect.

Question:	How do i put the strap on
Answer:	Usually with these types of straps, you loop the circle portion of the strap over your head so that it hangs from the back of your neck, and the "J" or hook portion of the strap comes underneath the uke and fastens into the bottom part of the soundhole. You will still need to hold the uke with one or both hands, or it will fall, but this will lessen the amount that you need to hold it.
Question:	How do you attach the strap
Answer:	The little black plastic clip slides onto the wood where the sound hole is (put it on the bottom part of the hole). Then wrap the strap down and underneath then behind the uke, and put the strap around your neck. The strap will support the uke only while you wear the strap. I had to YouTube it to figure it out, because it seemed strange to put it right on the wood. So far it hasn't scratched it yet, though.

Answer:	All ukuleles are small, and if you have larger hands, you might find the short scale of a soprano to be cramped. No ukulele could be called "too big", so try to find a shop that has all four sizes and decide which is most comfortable for you. The tenor is easy to play and has more depth and "punch", but the little soprano wins on charm.
Question:	many reviews mention instrument not holding tune. is this due to poor tuners, or just string stretch that occurs on any instrument
Answer:	Read the reviews. My wife loves hers. Mine developed a crack in the top within two weeks of owning it and I returned and swapped for a Kala KA-S. I think that my wife's less expensive Kala KA-15S has a nicer tone than mine. But yes, it's good quality. It's made of lovely wood too. A very beautiful little instrument. I recommend buying from Amazon and saving the shipping materials until you're sure you love it. Returns are free on Amazon...for a time. :)
Question:	Is the ukulele that comes with the starter kit the ka-15s because it says ltp-s on the inside of the instrument
Answer:	That's how ukuleles are suppose to be strung traditionally. Its called re-entrant and a few other stringed instruments do this as well. And most teaching material is for ukes strung that way. Don't rearrange the strings or it will be impossible to use chord the standard chord fingerings. If you want linear tuning (like on guitar) you have to by strings that say "low g" on the package. That way the finger patterns still work. But I wouldn't do this if I were a beginner because it will sound less like a traditional ukulele if you did that. Some people do that but those people are purposefully trying to create a unique sound, and they usually do it on a tenor ukulele, not soprano.
Question:	can strings be replaced when they break by standard strings
Answer:	I got one for me and my sister. Most low cost ukuleles are unplayable until you have them set up and restrung with better quality strings. Not this one. It comes ready to play out of the box, it just takes a couple weeks until the strings don't fall out of tune, but that's true of all nylon strings.

Question:	what kind of strings does it come with
Answer:	A change in string gauges, climate, string tention or simply players' taste may require adjustment on the neck, even on a new instrument. There is a truss rod inside the neck to counteract that tension and allow the player to adjust how much (or how little) the neck bows. Upbow will cause the string to be too far from the frets and impede playability. You can adjust the truss rod with a nut located at where the neck joints the body, with the truss rod wrench that comes with the package. Direction Correcting Backbow: To add relief to the neck, you'll want to loosen the truss rod or turn the truss rod nut counter-clockwise. Here are the steps to adjusting your truss rod: 1- Check the current bow in your guitar's neck 2- Work out which way the truss rod needs to turn 3- If you are tightening the truss rod, loosen your strings 4- Adjust your truss rod in the appropriate direction 5- Re-tune your guitar and let it settle 6- Check the bow again and repeat the steps as needed

How to Tune a Ukulele?

The first step in learning ukulele is to tune, beginner needs a tuner.

We press the tuner into Ukulele mode, clip it on the head of the head, and then twist the peg while plucking the strings, 4 strings standard corresponding to 4G, 3 strings correspond to 3C, 2 strings correspond to 2E, and 1 string corresponds to 1A.
