Answer:	The ones I have purchased have been high G; however, I think you can get low G, but you may have to search for that specifically, and in the length you need. I’m not a professional, though. I’ve changed strings on 3 or 4 ukes amd I’ve built only one uke so far, with the 2nd underway.

Answer:	I have. I found that some pieces don't sound as good with a low g. So, I have pretty much returned my tenors to high g. High g is more universal.

Answer:	It would be a great uke for a beginner. It has a lovely mellow tone and is quite nice looking as well. It has held tune very well, too. I bought this as a starter uke for my son and I was quite pleased with the quality. Now just to remind you, this is a baritone uke which is different from a soprano uke. Different tuning. It's tuned like a guitar and has a lower, fuller tone than the soprano uke. But I think this will be a great uke for you. It's economical but still looks and sounds great. In response to Andrew's answer below, please don't believe that this is not a "proper uke". Just as there is a soprano, a tenor, and an alto sax, there are also baritone and soprano ukes. They are all "proper" but just different and they have very different sounds and personalities. I'm 56 and have been playing the baritone since I was 12 and it's a great instrument.

Question:	Are this high G or low G strings
Answer:	The wound strings are the ones that are where the problem is. Where the strings hit the second fret on my Makala Ukulele, the wound part of the string is worn right at the fret and causes a buzzing sound when you play a chord. The strings are good for the first couple of weeks, but the problem occurs after about 15/20 hours of playing. I use D'Addario strings on my guitar and Banjo and have never had a problem with them. Also my Uke is a baritone Uke and the two lower strings are worn at the second fret.. The original strings on the Uke had the same problem shortly after I bought the Uke, and then I bought New D'Addario strings through Amazon and they did the same thing. I don't know if the original strings were D'Addario, but they looked identical. My complaint was the that the strings should last more than a couple of weeks and they should not be showing wear at the frets. It is just the D & G wound strings that are affected.
Question:	Is it low G for soprano/concert
Answer:	Don't know about the soprano. I used them on my baritone ukulele and did not like them. After only about three weeks they became dull sounding and I replaced them with Aquila stings which I like very much.

Answer:	Aloha Jonathan!Thanks for your question. Yes the pick holder can be removed. It is not attached on the ukulele in the first place. And you can put it on if you want to, but you don't have to. It's just a sticker on the back, so it is easily removable and doesn't leave any mark on the ukulele. Once you attach and detach the pick holder, the sticker loses its effect. But there are times when the color is a bit different, sometimes a bit lighter or sometimes a bit darker. Answer:	Aloha Clyde!Thanks for your question. The ukulele is made of Sapele, which is an identical type of wood as mahogany. Our ukuleles all come pre-installed with a high G string. If you want a low G string, you need to purchase a low G string separately and replace that yourself. It's not hard to do, pretty simple. There's youtube videos on how to change strings. Question:	how wide is the nut
Answer:	I can only respond to my experience with our tenor Kala ukulele, as well as my experience as a former music store owner. Instruments don't normally come with this type of setup, as it is more of a personal thing and depends upon the player/experience. Our Kala was packed well and arrived in perfect condition We haven't done nor had any work on it. My husband loves this uke just the way it is. As you probably know, having a stringed instrument "set up" will cost a little bit, but it will be set up how you like and prefer it to be. Again, it's a beautiful uke and really fun to play!!
Question:	are you able to plug this in to an amp
Answer:	You don’t need to do anything different to tune a low g string than you do to tune a high g string. If you are using the U for ukulele setting it will tune low and high g. If you have a high/low g 5 string uke, it is good to compare the low and high g strings to assure they are an octave apart. That is easy to discern by ear. So you could tune one with a tuner, then match the other by ear. That would be the fastest way. I always use chromatic and that is what I recommend. Of course, you need to have the names of the strings memorized down cold. With Chromatic you can tune new strings and strings well out of pitch for other reasons. When tuning new strings, i usually either strum another uke, or have the tone sounded by an app. That is the easiest way to bring a new string up to pitch without breakage.
Question:	is this a gloss finish
Answer:	Yes, I have them on my Kala U-Bass. They work fine except the string height is high and there's no way to easily adjust the action.
Question:	is kaka 8 string uke body all mahogany or laminate
Answer:	These strings are silver plated copper over a nylon core so no, I don't think so as a magnetic pickup needs ferrous metals in the strings to work. They do make a damn nice sound when you plug the U bass into an amp as it is though.
