Hand Feeling Process

Well hand feeling is the key to a good musical instrument, which is reflected in smooth feeling and suitable thickness handle, ultra comfortable chord distance, gliding fret and comfortable strings. The distance of fingerboard to string is perfect. The handle and the body must be in a horizontal plane strictly when fitting the fingerboard. Use the fret is silk smooth and gliding.

Material Selection

Careful screening of wood, and then let them expose to air and dry naturally for three years. Finally, the useless material should be eliminated. Answer:	All ukuleles are small, and if you have larger hands, you might find the short scale of a soprano to be cramped. No ukulele could be called "too big", so try to find a shop that has all four sizes and decide which is most comfortable for you. The tenor is easy to play and has more depth and "punch", but the little soprano wins on charm.
Question:	many reviews mention instrument not holding tune. is this due to poor tuners, or just string stretch that occurs on any instrument
Answer:	Read the reviews. My wife loves hers. Mine developed a crack in the top within two weeks of owning it and I returned and swapped for a Kala KA-S. I think that my wife's less expensive Kala KA-15S has a nicer tone than mine. But yes, it's good quality. It's made of lovely wood too. A very beautiful little instrument. I recommend buying from Amazon and saving the shipping materials until you're sure you love it. Returns are free on Amazon...for a time. :)
Question:	Is the ukulele that comes with the starter kit the ka-15s because it says ltp-s on the inside of the instrument
Answer:	That's how ukuleles are suppose to be strung traditionally. Its called re-entrant and a few other stringed instruments do this as well. And most teaching material is for ukes strung that way. Don't rearrange the strings or it will be impossible to use chord the standard chord fingerings. If you want linear tuning (like on guitar) you have to by strings that say "low g" on the package. That way the finger patterns still work. But I wouldn't do this if I were a beginner because it will sound less like a traditional ukulele if you did that. Some people do that but those people are purposefully trying to create a unique sound, and they usually do it on a tenor ukulele, not soprano.
Question:	can strings be replaced when they break by standard strings
Answer:	I got one for me and my sister. Most low cost ukuleles are unplayable until you have them set up and restrung with better quality strings. Not this one. It comes ready to play out of the box, it just takes a couple weeks until the strings don't fall out of tune, but that's true of all nylon strings.

Answer:	Basically. I think it’s considered real, but I’d spend the money and get a decent ukulele if you really want to play. I bought this for my toddler to play with.

So you may need to retune it every time you play for the first 4-5 times to break them in. 4/5 stars from me

Greetings and congratulations on the purchase of your new Diamond Head Ukulele!

Now that you have acquainted yourself with the instrument, the first thing we want to do is tune it up!

Step 1: Tune your ukulele

To aid in the tuning process, we recommend using a Golden Gate PT-1 Posi-Tune Compact Tuner or similar.

Begin by bringing each string as close to pitch as possible. The notes we will be tuning each string to, starting from Top to Bottom are:

G – C – E – A

Step 2: Stretch each string

In order to your new ukulele in tune, it will be necessary to stretch each string until it stabilizes. This is due to the material that typical ukulele strings are manufactured from and is perfectly normal.

Once each string is tuned up close to pitch – firmly, but gently – pull along the entire length on each string (while carefully supporting the instrument.) Pay particular attention to where each string wraps around the tuning peg posts, as well as where they are knotted at the bridge. It is normal for new ukulele strings to stretch considerably, so be patient. Also, be careful not to pull too hard on each string while stretching to avoid damaging the strings or your instrument.

Step 3: Repeat previous steps and tune it again

You’re almost there. Just repeat the process of tuning and stretching until each string stabilizes to the correct note. You’ve probably noticed that after having repeated the process several times, your ukulele will hold its tune better and better.

Depending on how often you play your ukulele, it could take a few days – even up to a few weeks for your strings to settle in – but once that happens you will be ready to play anytime.

How to change strings

1.Take a new string,and choose one end for the thread to pass through the lower hole. Then end of the thread below the base is reserved for the length of 8cm-10cm. The other end of the string is called the long end.

2.The index finger and thumb pinch the top of the thread and bypass the long end of the string counterclockwise from right to left.

3.After the nex step, the wire head is wound two times counterclockwise from bottom to top, and then the long end portion is pulled to form a twist shape.

4.Follow this method to tie the other strings one by one, then cut the excess thread with scissors.

Answer:	Yes, I use my phone app, and sometimes clip on tuner. Mine came with Aquila strings, and hardly ever needs tuning, and I've had it 3 mos.

Answer:	You can change the strings on any well made (from a reputable company) ukuleles. I even switched the strings over because I'm a lefty, and since the bridge (the white bar for supporting the strings on a ukulele) is completely symmetrical there is no drop in quality of sound or usage!
Question:	What kind of strings does this come with? Should I plan on replacing them once I get it
Answer:	The strings that come with this uke are not great. I replaced mine with Aquila strings and the uke sounds much better. Replacing the strings isn't hard, I learned how to do it from a YouTube video.

Question:	I'm just beginning on the ukelele. Should I buy a soprano or concert size
Answer:	Usually with these types of straps, you loop the circle portion of the strap over your head so that it hangs from the back of your neck, and the "J" or hook portion of the strap comes underneath the uke and fastens into the bottom part of the soundhole. You will still need to hold the uke with one or both hands, or it will fall, but this will lessen the amount that you need to hold it.
Question:	is it good quality
Answer:	The little black plastic clip slides onto the wood where the sound hole is (put it on the bottom part of the hole). Then wrap the strap down and underneath then behind the uke, and put the strap around your neck. The strap will support the uke only while you wear the strap. I had to YouTube it to figure it out, because it seemed strange to put it right on the wood. So far it hasn't scratched it yet, though.
Question:	The picture shows the strings in the wrong place. Instead of 1,2,3,4, it 3,1,2,4. We ordered two, and both came this way. Is it hard to move them

Answer:	You can using the electronic tuner we sent together to correct its sound. Strings from left to right - G, C, E, A. install our digital tuner. began tuning with the 3rd string, which is the note C. and the tuning pegs is the top one on the left. when the tuner light turn to be green, the tune is correct. and then turing the other strings.
