Answer:	It would be a great uke for a beginner. It has a lovely mellow tone and is quite nice looking as well. It has held tune very well, too. I bought this as a starter uke for my son and I was quite pleased with the quality. Now just to remind you, this is a baritone uke which is different from a soprano uke. Different tuning. It's tuned like a guitar and has a lower, fuller tone than the soprano uke. But I think this will be a great uke for you. It's economical but still looks and sounds great. In response to Andrew's answer below, please don't believe that this is not a "proper uke". Just as there is a soprano, a tenor, and an alto sax, there are also baritone and soprano ukes. They are all "proper" but just different and they have very different sounds and personalities. I'm 56 and have been playing the baritone since I was 12 and it's a great instrument.

Answer:	Hello, I purchased this case as the adv said it was for a tenor guitar (31.5”Lx 10.5”W) or a baritone uke (28.5”L x 11” W). It fits both of them. Both have 4 strings. Those are the dimensions of my instruments. The uke is a little tight zipping it up but once over that section all is fine. The next step is a better case for more money but I am happy with it. I bought it for simple protection and I am not a professional. I guess the best way to do it would to buy the case at the same time you buy the instrument if buying new and they would be a perfect match up but this one gets the job done. I will probably buy another one for my uke.

Question:	As a shortcut to a string question: can I use thinner gauge strings on this instrument to brighten up the tone? I assume light steel strings are out
Answer:	Kala is great company. Check out their websight, or call them for help, BUT I'm sure steel strings are a no go.
Question:	does this have a low G string
Answer:	From the factory no. I changed it once it arrived.
Question:	What type of strings
Answer:	Nylon synthetic.....2 or 3 possible brands.
Question:	There are mixed reviews as to what strings the ukulele came with. Do they come with Aquilas or not
Answer:	Mine came with aquila string and two of my friends in my ukulele club also received theirs with aquila strings as well.
