User questions & answers

Question: Will this work with 8-string guitars
Answer: I don’t think it should make any difference. The thing to keep in mind that the drop doesn’t tune up—it only tunes down. So in an example of a 6 string, if you want to go from E to D to B and back and forth, you have to have as a starting point your guitar tuned to E.
Question: where would this go in the pedal chain
Answer: I always put pitch shifting second in my chain (right after compression) Reason is, it tracks better and will have better clarity before distortion.
Question: in the chain, before or after distortion
Answer: I put it after distortion in my signal chain. I like the way it sounds this way. Just experiment with it and do what sounds best to your ears.
Question: Can i ise this for rocksmirh 2014 for the ps4 too
Answer: Yes. I use it for Rocksmith 2014. Plug the Rocksmith cable into the Out on the pedal and the guitar into the In with a standard cable. Works great.

DigiTech Automatic Drum Machine Pedal Multi Effect Processor (SDRUM-U)

DigiTech

Based on 163 reviews Check latest price

Product description

SDRUM is the world’s first intelligent drum machine for guitarists and bassists. By simply scratching across your guitar strings, you teach the SDRUM a kick and snare pattern that forms the foundation of the beat you want to hear. Based on this pattern, the SDRUM supplies a professional sounding drum beat with different embellishments and variations to perfectly complement your beat. Gone are the days of having your creative flow disrupted by searching through lists in a frustrating attempt to find the beat you want.

The SDRUM stores up to 36 different songs. Beats are played from a choice of 5 different kits covering a wide range of genres. The pedal also supports three different parts (e.g. verse/chorus/bridge) for each song that can be switched on the fly for enhancing live performances and exploring song ideas.

SDRUM is the fastest way to go from a beat idea to a working drum track.

  • BeatScratch Technology creates drum patterns by strumming your guitar or bass strings
  • Guitarists can quickly generate professional and authentic sounding drum beats for live performances, songwriting, and practice
  • Drum sounds and patterns can also be created by tapping the kick/snare touch pads
  • 5 drum kits and studio quality samples for professional sounding drums
  • 36 song memories with 12 different Hats/Rides styles
  • Alternative instruments/voicings for even more customization
  • Supports three different parts (e.g. verse/chorus/bridge) for each song that can be switched on the fly for enhancing live performances and exploring song ideas

User questions & answers

Question: So, do you just put it in your effects chain
Answer: At the end just before the AMP. Note that some heavy ethereal effects may make it difficult for the unit to program "on the fly" by strumming.
Question: Does this work wiyh JamManager
Answer: No. I mean I think what you mean is can you use JamManager to store stuff created on SDRUM or load stuff on to SDRUm from JamManager? That would be great. In fact, a software editor/manager is one of the first things I've asked Digitech about for the SDRUM.
Question: Would you recommend using this for live performances
Answer: Once you master it yes. I have not had the time to mess with it like I need to. It really seems good.
Question: Can you use line/mixer level for input
Answer: Works in my rig.

User questions & answers

Question: I am new in this but I'm looking for a pedal that will drop just half tone the E tunning of my guitar and I want to know if this pedal can do that
Answer: I don't like the previous answer. Yes, technically, this pedal will drop, but not like the question implies. That's why the manufacturer makes the "Whammy DT", for drop tuning, as well as "The Drop Polyphonic Drop Tune" pedal. The other pedals have a function to drop tune 1/2 step at a time, with a knob. With this pedal, you would have to gauge/judge how much you have dropped, might even need a tuner to get it exact. The other DT effects from this same company drop an exact amount, like 1/2 or 1 whole step down, no guess work, no problem is someone bumps the pedal while you are playing... for the same money, there are better option is drop down to E-flat or D.
Question: What version is this pedal
Answer: Version 5

User questions & answers

Question: How does this compare to the mxr reverb
Answer: neaunaber stereo reverb is the best , I sold polara. never tried mxr.
Question: Are these matte or shiny silver knobs
Answer: Matte. Plastic. Yeah, I was bummed, because I own a few other pedals in this line, and they all have the nice, metal knurled knobs (not all that shiny, but still nicer than the plastic ones). That said, these knobs aren't horrendous, and you can always change them if they bug you (the unit sounds fabulous). :)
Question: Is this worth buying if i own thr ehx holy grail? i'm into trippy experimentation wondering if it's any different or better
Answer: Honestly, I haven't used the holy grail, but I will probably never use anything else besides the Polara. I keep it on the Halo setting. I'm big into ambient sounds and sound experimentation, and I can't get a bad sound from the Halo setting. My band mates love it too, it beats finding a keyboard player too!
Question: what is the milliamp rating as to I only have certain spaces in the power supply
Answer: Power Consumption: 675 mW (http://rdn.harmanpro.com/product_documents/documents/2073_1413907758/Polara_Manual_Rev_A_original.pdfvbrgds
