9 best synergy digital audio mixers
Synergy Digital Audio Mixers are professional-grade audio mixing consoles used in studio recording and live sound applications. These mixers are essential equipment for musicians, audio engineers, and producers, providing precise control over audio inputs and outputs. Here are some general features and aspects related to Synergy Digital Audio Mixers:
Unpowered Mixers: Synergy Digital Audio Mixers are unpowered, meaning they do not have built-in amplifiers. Instead, they are used to control and balance audio signals from microphones, instruments, and other sources before sending the mixed signal to amplifiers or recording devices.
Mixers Accessories: These mixers may come with various accessories, including faders, knobs, switches, and LED meters for controlling different aspects of the audio signals. Some models might also include built-in digital effects processors, equalizers, and routing options.
Studio Recording Equipment: Synergy Digital Audio Mixers are commonly used in recording studios. They allow engineers to balance the levels of multiple audio sources, create various mixes, and apply effects to achieve the desired sound for recordings.
Live Sound: In live sound setups, these mixers are used to blend the audio signals from microphones and instruments in real-time during concerts, events, or performances. They ensure that the audience hears a well-balanced mix of vocals, instruments, and other audio elements.
Musical Instruments: Musicians and bands often use Synergy Digital Audio Mixers during rehearsals and performances. These mixers enable musicians to control their own monitor mixes, ensuring they can hear themselves and other band members clearly on stage.
It's important to note that the specific features and capabilities of Synergy Digital Audio Mixers may vary based on the model and version. Musicians, recording engineers, and live sound professionals often choose mixers based on their specific requirements, such as the number of input channels, built-in effects, and overall audio quality. For the most accurate and detailed information about specific Synergy Digital Audio Mixer models, it's recommended to refer to the product documentation or contact the manufacturer directly.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the headphone jack on this for monitoring your inputs, or does your PC audio come through it aswell |
Answer: | Hi, You can monitor your inputs and listen to playback from your computer simultaneously, which allows you to create overdubs with next to zero latency. You can either choose to monitor the inputs using the Direct Monitor switch, or you can use the Input Monitor feature in your DAW. If using the Direct Monitor feature the input signal will be passed directly to the line and headphone outputs, whereas if you use the Input Monitor feature in your DAW, you will be hearing the audio you're recording back from your DAW. In either case, you can still hear any other audio playing back from your DAW at the same time as recording. Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support |
Question: | What type of usb cable does this come with? is it a type-c to type-c or a type-c to type-a |
Answer: | Hi, This comes with a type-c to type-a cable. If you have type-c ports, you will need to purchase a type-c to type-c USB cable separately. Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support |
Question: | Does the XLR input only record audio to the left side |
Answer: | Hi, When recording a single microphone, you should ensure that you create a mono audio track in your DAW instead of a stereo audio track. When you record onto a mono audio track, the output from that track will be heard on both sides of your headphones or speakers (ensuring the output is set to stereo), however, if you record onto a stereo track, the audio will just be recorded onto the left side of a stereo file and you will ony hear it on the left of your headphones/speakers. This is explained in more detail here: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206849779?flash_digest=62885ef974b4eb116f3b3ea2c9b9c38ddb871473 Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support |
Question: | can this power 250 ohm headphones |
Answer: | I have a 650 , 300 ohm and it's enough to play it at okay volume but not enough to power it completed I'm looking at an Amp to pair this with |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I use it with phantom power |
Answer: | We found that if you have the GoXLR, and a USB headset, that we can still get the sound over. Put a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord from the headset output on the GoXLR, and into the Line In port on the back of a computer. Then, use the 'Listen to this device' option in the sound settings to redirect sound from 3.5mm Line In, and output to the USB headset. Can use a guide like https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/126383-listen-microphone-through-playback-device-windows.html to see the process. Couple things to note - If you hear a buzzing or feedback, you may need to get a quality 3.5mm Ground Noise Loop isolator, and be sure to get a quality 3.5mm cable, otherwise the sound may sound a bit degraded. |
Question: | Is this capatible with Chromebook? And what mix apps on chromebook do I need for this |
Answer: | Yes, pretty easily I might add. |
Question: | Can I connect a smartphone via Bluetooth to do a phone interview on a podcast, all the while that person hear me and my listeners hear that person |
Answer: | Yes, it supports 70 Db of gain in addition to the phantom power. So it can run nearly and microphone you throw at it. |
Question: | Will this work with a usb microphone |
Answer: | Currently, windows only. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What’s in the box? What cables does it come with |
Answer: | Unfortunately, unless you find find an individual with a YouTube video it will be difficult to get any info. Even the company that makes this MIDI controller doesn't offer good information. I was left to purchase and try for my needs. I had to get a return for refund commitment. My needs were simpler and it worked for me. I was disappointed that you cannot set a button for both CC and PC command simultaneously. You can choose MIDI channels but I believe it would be 1 per button setting. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How does this compare to aviom or other brands? i'm looking for a monitor system for 6 band members and i want really good quality for what i buy |
Answer: | All mine (8) came with a cat5 cable |
Question: | can't i do the same thing with a wireless tablet |
Answer: | We are using this system to eliminate - as much as possible - the use of floor wedges/monitors. So, yes. Each musician needs a P16-M. They then dial in which of the inputs they need to hear more or less of in their personal ear-buds. NOTE: As "RY" noted in their response - you CAN, and we DID start out with two singers sharing a P16-M by using a splitter out the headphone jack to enable two sets of in-ear buds. But it was pretty disastrous. For one thing, no two people have the same "ears" and preferences. And each singer wanted more of themselves, etc. |
Question: | Does is come with cat5 cable |
Answer: | The Mixer built-in bluethooth, you can try it on iPad pro as input. |
Question: | Does each muscian need one |
Answer: | Yes, the mixer can be used to hook up turntables a mixer and a sb3 dj controller. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you use a USB headset with this |
Answer: | We found that if you have the GoXLR, and a USB headset, that we can still get the sound over. |

User questions & answers
Question: | can i use uad plugs in with it also? will my 3rd party plug ins work with it also? that i use with my scarlet 2i4? i just bought a tb3 pc |
Answer: | Its usb compliant. It works with any midi controllable software. You can use fishmans software interface also for native integration |
Question: | Hi, does this come with a free mic as advertised |
Answer: | Hi, no it can't be used with those, this product is only for electric guitars, not acoustic. There are people who have altered their acoustic guitars to work with this product, but Fishman doesn't recommend does this. If you are curious about some discussion around that topic you can go here: http://tripletalk.fishman.com/tag/acoustic-guitar-martin-tripleplay/ and see what folks have done and what Fishman says about this. Please let us know if you have any other questions, thank you |
Question: | Ive received my discrete 4 synergy core. i did not get the modeling mic. do i get this later or do i need to send something in |
Answer: | I don't know the answer to your question. I just use them to scroll through the banks. However, the top row of buttons switch on and off various controls, and effects. For me, each channel is a random setup. Since I am using a preamp not preset into in the system. The results are awesome ! By switching on one to two (or more) upper buttons per channel, it is making the preset sound even better. Because it is random, each channel sounds better with a different on/off configuration of upper buttons. I also like having access to twelve channels, within three ckicks. One up, and two down. It is like a dream come true for me. One footswitch. One, or two compatible expression pedal(s). Requiring no additional power supply. Other than being plugged into the MIDI Commander. One cable to my amp for the whole front end of my setup. Please don't wake me, lol ! Also the size is what I was looking for. About the size of a four button guitar amp footswitch. |
Question: | Does this come with a thunderbolt cable or just usb |
Answer: | There are no clicks. They are not latch style switches, they are spring loaded momentary switches. No noise whatsoever. |

Question: | If you set this up behind stage but operate from front of house, how do you get audio from front of house to backstage (like an iPod, or computer |
Answer: | I agree with Sean on this one. I usually plug in an MP3 player and just fade in the music. This may not be the best option for you if you are constantly needing to queue music. When I've had to do that, I've done it 2 different ways, both involve a stage snake: one way was I run an actual stage snake and have the Behringer with me as if it were a traditional mixer. The second way is to run a snake for only the 2 channel audio from the laptop next to me and send it up into the stage. Again, both involve a snake and sort of defeat the main purpose of this. However, you still gain remote access to the mixer which still allows you to roam around the room to adjust the audio. It's not a complete loss if you need constant access to a music source. |
