Everything You Need, Nothing You Don't

The über-simple front panel controls of these amps give you all of your sound's vital signs at a glance. After flipping the MAIN switch, the POWER LED will light when the amp is ready for action. Both channels have independent gain dials as well as clip LEDs that indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the gain. There are also SIGNAL LEDs that light up when a signal is present at the input.

Panel Discussion

A panel of switches found on the back panel offers an array of cool options to apply to both channels of the EP2000 and EP4000. The Clip Limiter lets you get even more out of the amplifier without overdriving either it or your speaker system. Built-in circuitry automatically senses when the EP2000 or EP4000 is being overdriven into "clipping" and then momentarily reduces the input level to avoid clipping distortion. This all happens in a few thousandths of a second, so it's an inaudible way of avoiding audible clipping distortion. Of course, you can turn the Limiter off if you're feeling lucky.

Ultra-low frequency sounds (infrasonics) are caused by rickety stage vibrations, mic thumps and wind noise. While technically inaudible, they can cause a huge drain on amp power, potential damage to your speakers and a sludgy sound in the audible bass ranges. Both EP models feature a defeatable Low Cut Filter that chops off unwanted frequencies below 50Hz or 30Hz (depending on your PA system's capabilities).

The same panel contains the switches that allow you to put these amps to work in either stereo or bridge (mono) mode. Both the EP2000 and EP4000 can be linked to additional power amps by switching into parallel mode.

(One input to each zone independently controlled or almost like having 4 separate single channel amps in one) You may have to use a splitter on your audio source (Example MP3 player) to hook up to each input (Like a "Y" Adapter)The amp is pretty nice if this is what your needing it for. I used it to install in a customers house for multi room control.Note* System also has 1/4 mono audio inputs (Not RCA) and the outputs use Speacon adapters to speakers themselves. Answer:	I'm using the amp in a home environment but it sounds great. Not sure how rugged it will be as a gig amp. Has inputs for RCA jack, Phone plug, and XLR, and outputs on Binding Posts and Speakon connectors. Should be good to go. Just make sure you don't overload the input.

Answer:	This amp doesn't deliver 800 watts. As close as I can tell it's about 275 watts 4 ohm x 2 . So maybe around 550 watts bridged.

Answer:	if it is an audio technica atpl120, then it already has a phono preamp, so if you hook it up to a stereo or headphones, you should be hearing it in full volume control. so I would think just hooking it up to your headphones will give you full volume.1980s or older turntables don't have a preamp so they relied on specially revamped phono audio hookups, but yours already is preamped so you don not need any addition preamp devices.

Answer:	This pre-amp boosts any signal. How you connect it to the AMP doesn't matter. AUX or PHONO is only important if the pre-amp is inside the amp.

Answer:	You can simple test your amplifier by connecting the audio output from the turntable to your power amp and see if you can control the sound volume. I suspect that you might not get any sound from the power amp even at max output power. Then you need the pre-amp to boost the signal from the turntable before connecting it to the power amp. Answer:	No. This is an 8 channel headphone amp. It simply increases the response of multiple headsets used at one time, to boost the output of each headset in a recording studio setting.

Answer:	Hello, to the best of my knowledge, a 220v version is not available in the US. I could not find a specification in the amplifier. A lot of power amps use universal power supplies that allows a voltage from 110 to 220 @ 60 or 50 Hz to be allowed. Usually that specification is marked on the amplifier at the AC input. I don’t see that on the power amplifier images. Hope this helps.

Answer:	A mixer does not, in fact, record anything. It acts as a go-between from your microphones to your computer (or other recording device). The plus to having a mixer is that you can have multiple microphone inputs with XLR cables and adjust the volume levels for each one separately. For this board in particular, you'll need a 1/4" L/R to single 3.5mm headphone cable (like this one that I used: http://amzn.to/2z1BGDG). That will run from the Main Out on the board to your microphone input on your PC or laptop. If you're looking to start a podcast from scratch and already have a computer with recording software like Audacity, Audition, etc. You'll need not only this board, but also some microphones, stands, XLR cables, and the cable I mentioned above. Depending on your type of podcast, if it's just you talking, you might be better off starting with a single USB mic (Like the Blue Yeti or Blue Snowball) which will allow you to go without the need for an audio mixer, cables, etc. The plus side of getting the board right away is that mics can be pretty cheap (we use a Behringer microphone set that we picked up: http://amzn.to/2yjdQWO). It allows you to have multiple hosts and keep your audio levels sounding good for each. As a fair warning with this board, there is no built-in on/off switch, so it needs to be unplugged after use (it seems to get pretty hot if you leave it plugged in all the time). This isn't much of an issue for me, more of a mild inconvenience, but I know that might be a deal breaker for some.

Answer:	I believe there is an fx knob on each channel so you can add as much or as little fx as you want. You can only use 1 setting at a time. You can't put reverb on one track and chorus on another. You get 1 fx for all the tracks.

Answer:	This sound board has 5 XLR phantom powered inputs. Therefore, you may have up to five microphones using this type of input cable. In addition to this, you have 1/4" cable inputs, and RCA inputs for extra mic's, or sound from other devices, such as your computer or a CD player. For these reasons, this board makes a great tool for doing group discussions.
Question:	what is the difference between the 1002b and the
Answer:	Quite a bit of difference. The amount of XLR connections available, the 1002B has 5 compared to the 2 available on the 1002. There are 2 monitor/fx sends on the 1002B as to 1 on the 1002. All of the channels have EQ on the 1002B, the 1002 does not. The 1002B uses slider faders for the channels as compared to rotary faders on the 1002. The 1002B utilizes a power switch to turn the mixer on/off, the 1002 does not have a power switch. The 1002B offers the option of using batteries to power the mixer for portable use, not the 1002. I could not find anything about the 1002 shipping with rack ear adapters. The 1002B came with rack ears making installation in my gear rack a breeze. All of these observations are from me looking at the images on the Behringer website for the 1002 as I do not own one. I do own the 1002B. Hope this helps with your decision.
