12 best in ear monitor systems
In-ear monitor (IEM) systems are specialized audio devices commonly used by musicians, audio engineers, and performers in various settings, including live music performances, studio recording, and broadcasting. Here is what you need to know about in-ear monitor systems:
Purpose: In-ear monitor systems are designed to provide high-quality audio monitoring directly into the ears of musicians and performers. They replace traditional stage monitors (wedge-shaped speakers on stage) and allow for more precise control of the audio mix each performer hears.
Components:
- Earphones: The core component of an IEM system is the earphones or in-ear monitors. These are inserted into the ears and deliver audio directly to the performer.
- Bodypack Transmitter: This is a portable transmitter that connects to the main audio source, such as a mixing console or audio interface. It wirelessly sends the audio signal to the receiver in the earphones.
- Receiver: The receiver is built into or connected to the earphones and receives the wireless audio signal from the bodypack transmitter. It plays a crucial role in delivering the audio mix to the performer.
Customization: In-ear monitors are often customized to fit the individual wearer's ears comfortably and securely. Musicians can get molds made of their ear canals to ensure a snug fit and better sound isolation.
Sound Isolation: One of the primary advantages of IEM systems is their ability to provide sound isolation. This means that performers can hear their own audio mix without interference from external noise, allowing for a cleaner and more controlled listening experience.
Mix Control: Musicians can often control their individual audio mix through the IEM system. This means they can adjust the levels of different instruments and vocals to suit their preferences, improving their performance.
Stage Clutter Reduction: In-ear monitors reduce the need for bulky stage monitors, which can clutter the stage and lead to feedback issues. This results in a cleaner and more visually appealing stage setup.
Compatibility: In-ear monitor systems are commonly used in live music, worship services, theater productions, and studio recording. They are compatible with a wide range of audio equipment, making them versatile for various applications.
Wireless Options: Many IEM systems are wireless, allowing performers to move freely on stage without being tethered to audio cables. This enhances mobility and stage presence.
Cost: The cost of in-ear monitor systems can vary widely depending on the quality of components, customization, and additional features. High-end systems can be quite expensive, but there are more budget-friendly options available as well.
In-ear monitor systems have become an essential tool for professional musicians and audio engineers, enabling them to have better control over their audio monitoring and overall performance experience. They offer clear audio, sound isolation, and customization options that contribute to improved live performances and studio recording sessions.

User questions & answers
Question: | I have had two of these die recently, less than 6 months old. Who do I call for warranty |
Answer: | Good day, and thank you for your question. We can be reached at 877-736-6434, option 3. If you would like to call us while with the unit, we are glad to troubleshoot in real time. Hopefully this helps, and have a good afternoon. |
Question: | Viene con su caja |
Answer: | As long as the new transmitter is in the same frequency range A1 |
Question: | I have Shure system that uses that uses the 518-554 mhz range. Can this receiver be used for that system |
Answer: | Yes you can, you set pack 1 all the way to the left and pack 2 all the way to the right. |
Question: | does it come with a receiver |
Answer: | I just compared the dimensions of this system with that of my Galaxy that I have. This Sennheiser unit is about double the depth of my unit (width and height are about the same). That being said, it should still fit as I have plenty of room to also keep my cables in the bag right behind the transmitter. I've been using this bag for just over a year and am just as happy with it as when I originally ordered it! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I buy the receivers separately? If so, where |
Answer: | i still think they will work. |
Question: | i need a 6 reciever setup can you give me a price for that |
Answer: | it should fit the SG but would be a huge downgrade from stock tuners.. even an epiphone uses grovers... |
Question: | Can i connect a single xlr to transmitter and have audio play on both channels on the receiver |
Answer: | They are meant for the tuning holes that are smaller than average. If your guitar has Grover tuners, than they won't work. But if your Gibson or epiphone has klaus on deluxe tuners, they should fit. To let you know, I recorded tuners that were the same basic shape and look, but the color was more of a darker green. That's fine for me because I am using them on a project guitar but if you are buying them based on the looks of the cream tuner then I would search elsewhere. All in all they do work well |
Question: | How can i , on mono, have two separate mixes on two different receivers? do you know? like i can connect all 4 of the receivers i have to the same cha |
Answer: | No these are all one piece the heads are not removable |

User questions & answers
Question: | can i add more receivers to this system? wich model could be |
Answer: | Doubt anyone can answer this honestly. I use Netgear's Nighthawk R7000 for glitch-free communication between modem and router. |
Question: | Is it stereo |
Answer: | Power supply is listed as 12V, 2.5A, which would be a max of 30W. |
Question: | is this rack mountable |
Answer: | Arris SB8200 is equipped with a Broadcom BCM3390 chipset, 128 MB / 16 MB of flash memory and 3 GB of RAM. Netgear has also equipped the CM1000 with a Broadcom BCM3390 chipset, 128 MB of flash memory and 256 MB of RAM.It’s nice to see that both Arris and Netgear have gone past the Intel Puma chipset line (especially the Puma 6) and have used a Broadcom-based chipset this time (this choice has removed any possible latency issues which plagued the previous models, both Arris SB6190 and CM700). http://www.mbreviews.com/arris-sb8200-vs-netgear-cm1000/ |
Question: | How long do batteries last |
Answer: | The 6 gbps is a theoretical top speed for Docsis 3.1. You are correct that this lan port only provides 1 gbps. This modem is currently useful for people with higher than 300 mbps internet connections via cable internet (however, it does work perfectly with slower internet connections as well). One great example is Xfinity's gigabit internet, which provides a download speed of 1 gbps, and this modem is perfect for that. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Who do we contact for any warrenty on this product pyle pdwmn |
Answer: | I've used it to tune my kalimba (african thumb piano) that instrument is like a small wooden box with a hole in it and I can barely manage to pinch it onto the soundhole. It works on anything you can clip it to for reading the vibration (unplugged electric guitars, etc.) Only issue I've had on my big acoustic is it doesn't always read the low E string so I hit the octave by touching fret 12 lightly |
