14 best wireless bass guitar systems
Wireless bass guitar systems are devices used by bass guitarists and other musicians to eliminate the need for physical cables when connecting their instruments to amplifiers or sound systems. These systems provide the freedom to move around the stage without being tethered to a specific location, offering greater mobility and flexibility during performances. Here are some key points about wireless bass guitar systems:
Components: A typical wireless bass guitar system consists of two main components: the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter is connected to the bass guitar, while the receiver is connected to an amplifier, mixer, or other audio equipment.
Wireless Technology: These systems utilize various wireless technologies, such as UHF (Ultra High Frequency) or digital transmission, to transmit the audio signal from the bass guitar to the receiver. Digital systems often offer better sound quality and interference resistance.
Frequency Bands: Wireless bass guitar systems operate within specific frequency bands, and users must ensure they choose a system that complies with local regulations and avoids interference with other wireless devices.
Channel Selection: Many wireless systems offer multiple channels or frequencies to choose from. This is useful in crowded RF (Radio Frequency) environments where interference may occur. Musicians can select a clear channel to ensure a stable connection.
Range: The range of a wireless bass guitar system can vary depending on the model and technology used. Musicians should choose a system that provides sufficient range for their performance needs, taking into account stage size and potential obstacles.
Latency: Low latency is crucial in wireless systems to ensure that there is minimal delay between playing a note on the bass guitar and hearing it through the amplifier. Digital systems tend to have lower latency compared to analog ones.
Battery Life: Transmitters and receivers are typically powered by batteries. Musicians should consider the battery life of their wireless system to avoid interruptions during performances and have spare batteries or rechargeable options available.
Compatibility: It's essential to ensure that the wireless bass guitar system is compatible with both the bass guitar and the audio equipment it will be connected to. Some systems offer various input and output options to accommodate different setups.
Signal Quality: High-quality wireless systems maintain the integrity of the bass guitar's tone and deliver clear, noise-free audio. Inferior systems may introduce unwanted noise or signal degradation.
Durability and Build: Musicians who perform regularly should consider the build quality and durability of the wireless system. It should be able to withstand the rigors of touring and live performances.
Interference and Security: Proper frequency management and encryption features can help prevent interference and unauthorized access to the wireless signal.
Wireless bass guitar systems have become popular tools for musicians looking to enhance their stage presence and mobility while maintaining audio quality.Choosing the right system involves considering factors such as technology, range, latency, and compatibility to ensure a seamless and reliable performance experience.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this transmitter fit into the surface plug on an Ibanez SR |
Answer: | It also work with a 9V battery , Model: 6F22 |
Question: | Does it have a headphone jack so that it can be used without an amp for practice |
Answer: | With guitars this short, you're better off tuning it higher. It'll maintain string tension better from my understanding. I think it's usually a fourth higher. Like having a capo at the 5th fret of a standard guitar. So the 1 and 6 strings are tuned to A rather than E. |
Question: | Would two sets of these work for a guitar>pedal board> amp? To make a fully wire less rig |
Answer: | Depends on his height. If he’s a bit small or standard height for his age, it will be great. If he’s big for his age, it might be s gamble. |
Question: | How natural does this sound on a fine acoustic guitar using a piezzo/preamped pickup like fishman or lr baggs |
Answer: | It dose not have a truss rod |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this system be used with a guitar and bass at the same time |
Answer: | The transmitter has only one input/output. So it cannot be used on two instruments at the same time. It can be switched between two instruments very quickly with no "setup" required other than plugging the receiver into the correct amp. Also, as the unit transmits on only one channel, trying to "mix" two instruments would be less than ideal. You could (I'll muddy this up real good now) plug a bass and guitar into a mixer and transmit from a sub out and use the mono mixed signal thru the single channel. Doing so would require enough sound equipment on the reciever to sort out the bass thru a crossover or whatever. This would defeat the purpose of a wireless system...IMHO. My recommendation: buy two units. You'll like the unit. |
Question: | Does it work with guitar active pickups |
Answer: | It does. It works with active or passive. Also works well with bass or guitar. Works with 'fex. Develop good battery schedule for the transmitter and you'll love it! When the transmitter (instrument unit) batteries die, it does so quickly and without warning. That said, it isn't battery hungry. Battery life is quite acceptable and the batteries are easy to change. |
Question: | Can you use it with in ear monitors |
Answer: | Yes but you need a separate receiver and transmitter for your in ear monitors. |
Question: | will this do mic and instrument at the same time |
Answer: | No I do. It believe this will a mic and instrument at the same time. There is only one channel output |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it 5.8 mhz or 2.4 mhz |
Answer: | about 4-5 hours. The advantage to this system is that the case contains a rechargeable battery that will recharge your transmitter and receiver when you place them in the holder/slots. They claim that the case will recharge your units 3 times. |
Question: | Can you return this product if you don't like it |
Answer: | You should be able to realize 5 continuous hours . Its best to keep the battery up to charge between playing time. It will increase the battery life overall. |
Question: | Will this DWS-3 wireless system work on active pickups |
Answer: | One year factory but have and used many products like pedals etc. Have had not one problem |
Question: | Mine crackles when using it on any of my guitars. How do i fix this |
Answer: | Hello, thank you for your question. It probably won't work - Most Taylor guitar pickups use TRS for balanced out. If the output is balanced, B-5 won't fit it. |

Product description
Relay G30 redefines the wireless experience for guitarists and bassists. Its superior sound, professional dependability and refreshing simplicity are unavailable from other wireless systems.
|
Superior Sound
Relay G30 provides a pure signal. Its clarity rivals that of the highest-quality guitar cables. Guitars get a beautiful high-end sparkle and basses get a thunderous low-end punch, even at distances of up to 30 meters. Traditional wireless systems compromise their sound by rolling-off crucial high- and low-end frequencies and compressing their signals. Relay G30 offers superior sound with full bandwidth and zero compression.
Professional Dependability
Relay G30 broadcasts its robust signal over the 2.4GHz band. This keeps the signal free from many kinds of interference. For added security, Relay G30 employs exclusive signal protection technology: it broadcasts an encrypted data stream on six channels simultaneously.
![]() Receiver features side-mounted 1/4-inch ins and outs and internal antennas, making it easy to add to a pedal board. |
![]() Switch between cable and wireless systems without having to adjust the tone settings on your amplifier. |
Traditional wireless systems, on the other hand, are susceptible to dropouts, static and many other kinds of interference. Broadcasting over congested UHF bands, their signals may be affected by interference generated as far away as 160 kilometers, or more.
Refreshing Simplicity
Relay G30 is a low-profile system that's easy to use. The lightweight transmitter remains out of the way of your performance, and the rugged receiver can sit on top of your amp or be added to your pedal board. The receiver offers easy-to-read LEDs that display power, status and battery life.
Attached to Your Guitar Cable?
For players attached to cables, adopting a wireless system introduces many questions: What will it feel like? Will it change my sound? Relay G30 sounds just like a cable, but it also sounds just like your cable. Relay G30 features two EQ settings that match the frequency responses of typical guitar cables. Different players use different cables, but all players can use Relay G30.
VWT
Exclusive VWT (Virtual Wire Transmission) technology ensures full-range frequency response, excellent transient response, and wide dynamic range - just like a high-quality guitar cable.
Superior Specs
Relay digital wireless systems produce full-range tones with 10Hz-20kHz frequency response, exceedingly low noise with up to 120dB dynamic range, and studio-quality resolution with 24-bit A/D conversion. (Comparably priced analog wireless systems offer 50Hz-15kHz frequency response and >90dB dynamic range. This wreaks havoc on your tone, especially if you use a high-gain amp.)
Cable Tone Simulation
Using a cable and a wireless system? Now you can switch back and forth without having to adjust the tone settings on your amplifier. Relay digital wireless systems feature a Cable Tone Simulator, which lets you match the sound of your Relay to the sound of your cable.
Compander-Free
Companders squash your signal and ruin your tone. Analog wireless systems require companders but Relay wireless systems do not. Remaining compander-free enables Relay to deliver a beautiful high-end sparkle, thunderous low-end punch, and touch response that analog wireless systems simply cannot deliver.
Remaining compander-free gives better sound than analog wireless systems.
DCL
Exclusive DCL (Digital Channel Lock) technology automatically locks out all sources of interference. The only sound that will come out of your amplifier is you--not static, not Top 40 radio--just you.
2.4GHz broadcast
The best way to avoid interference? Don't get in its way. Relay digital wireless systems broadcast in the 2.4GHz band, which successfully avoids interference caused by TV stations, public safety broadcasts, cell phone towers, and other high-powered sources.
What About WiFi?
Worried about interference caused by 2.4GHz WiFi networks and Bluetooth devices? Don't be. Relay digital wireless systems use uniquely addressed and encoded digital transmission technology. Your tone will make it from your transmitter to your receiver free of interference.
![]() Don't waste time scanning for open channels. |
Full Quality, No Matter What
Whether you're playing two feet from your Relay G30 or at the edge of its range, you get the same great specs: full frequency response, superior dynamic range, cable-inspired dependability, and 24-bit A/D conversion.
All Channels, All the Time
All channels in all Relay digital wireless systems work all the time. Too good to be true? Maybe for an analog wireless system. Relay digital wireless systems are different. There's no website to reference, and no need to scan for open channels.

User questions & answers
Question: | How long is the 1/4" cable that is included |
Answer: | Why wouldn't you, it's a GUITAR strap, and an acoustic is a GUITAR.... Don't listen to the dum dum who said it is made for electric guitars, as they are obviously clueless. |
Question: | Does the transmitter make any pop sound when you turn ON or OFF the power switch? This is important since it doesn't have a mute button like the G |
Answer: | It's a light purple sort of neon like but definitely not a wine color |
Question: | I'm looking at using this with an acoustic electric bass. I see lots of comments about how great it makes guitars sound, but nothing about a bass |
Answer: | They sure are. These come 100% ready to bolt on. The strap screws are slightly larger that the factory screws so screw them in slowly. |
Question: | Will the g30 work in usa and does it do good with a bottom b bass string |
Answer: | Depends on the shape of your guitar. I have a long (extra connector pack purchased separately) & short combo on the neck heel/ lower body of my SG and the neck strap sits on the horn and the lower sits on the body while in the case. It hasn't hurt anything. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Have you ever noticed a bit of static/ noise that fades when you first strike a note after a few moments of silence |
Answer: | If Ibanez SR300 has 6.35mm jack, our GWS-8 guitar wireless can be applied to this guitar!Thank you for supporting our wireless guitar! |
Question: | This wireless guitar systems sometimes makes strange noises while in use |
Answer: | Dear Freind, Thank you for your friendly inquiry about Getaria wireless guitar system. What a shame! There is no 3.5 audio jack on the wireless guitar transmitter side, so you can't plug any headphone jack into the Getaria wireless guitar system, we suggest you a set of Getaria wireless guitar transmitter and receiver in this situation. |
Question: | I found my wireless guitar systems cannot be charged properly |
Answer: | Yes, this will work. You can put a pair of these anywhere you would use a signal cable. I chained 3 pair to see if they would flake out and they did fine. Pair the one from the guitar to the pedal board, then pair the one from the pedal board to the amp. You can also pair the one from the pedal board to the amp and a third from the amp line out to the mixer. Granted this is not how you would usually go from the amp to the mixer, but it works. Do not plug it into anything that would normally take a speaker wire. That will fry it as there is amperage on the line. |
Question: | Can 2 transmitters send to one receiver |
Answer: | I play nylon guitars exclusively...my best is a Amin Hannika Torres with no amplification, so I use that as a standard. I have a Gary Zimnicki with a non-amplified piezo that goes direct to my AER60. It sounds the same whether I use a high quality cable of the Getaria in a concert/club setting; in the studio there is a slight drop-off that most listeners could not discern. I also use a 2002 Ramirez a/e with a Fishman preamp and piezo (i never use the microphone component); I cannot tell the difference between cable or Getaria mainly because the preamp changes the clear acoustic quality - not bad or good, just not like an unamplified guitar. As an aside, I have a Taylor with espresso system, an L5 that I put P90s on, and a 5620 Gretsch with black top histones, and on all of them the Gertaria is great, no hum, no noise, no interference. But the big thing for me in all settings - live, studio, rehearse, practice - is have NO cord to tangle, step on or buzz. I don't give recommendations, but I bought 2 sets of these to have while one is charging, and will buy them again if these break. I've used them for about 4 months. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you use more than 2 of these on same stage |
Answer: | I have an acoustic with active pickups and it works fine. Works fine on my passive electric pickups too. |
Question: | Can I use this from mixer to powered speakers for audio and live voice? Wanna get rid of cables to speakers |
Answer: | Never tried that before and not sure it will work, but worth a try. |
Question: | Do they work with a guitar with active pickups |
Answer: | We do not suggest to leave them in charging too long, because this will harm the battery, and also there is a safety risk as always. Actually speaking, there is power indicator LED lights on the back side, which will remind you when it is in lower power and need charging, or it is full and no need charging any more, so that you will not forget to charge them, or over-charging them. |
Question: | can you use 4 sets of these at same time? when we try more than 3 we get interference |
Answer: | The manual shows an example of 1 receiver and 4 guitar pedals (w/transmitter), implying a practical multi transmitter setup. If 1 receiver is used, and multiple transmitters are connected on the same channel (ex, 1 bass, 1 uke, 1 violin all on channel 3) as long as they're not used simultaneously, would they function properly? |

Question: | Why are the colors of the transmitter and receiver different, one red and one green |
Answer: | Red transmitter and green receiver,it is really convenient to recognize. You can quickly judge based on the color. It is very important not to insert it in wrong jack. It took our friend half an hour to find the reason why the sound cannot be heard and insert them into the correct jack. |
Question: | How to change channel |
Answer: | You can use the "1 key to switch" function. Turn on the machine and press the power button once on the transmitter to change frequency, and the receiver will automatically match. I consulted the customer service and they claimed that there are 10*10 channels, which is 100 channels, and 10 channels will be randomly selected for each re-pairing. 10 channels are enough for me, there is no need to re-pair at the moment. |
