I have taken off the foam, sprayed down the entire unit with lysol and let air dry. I've also sprayed the foam covering part separately and let that dry before putting it back on the mic. However, knowing that it's not 100%, I've done 2 things: 1. I dedicate each amplifier to only one person. In other words, no sharing! But I still want the option to replace the foam covering if needed so.. 2. I've ordered replacement foam covers online. Just to let you know my story, I am a board certified and licensed music therapist. I use these during music therapy outdoor groups when I have to be very socially distanced from the folks I'm working with.
