Question:	I am trying to decide between this unit and the glxd14 style receiver. with the antenna differences on the receiver do they both perform equally well
Answer:	I have both. I use the glxd14 for vocal mics, and glxd16 in my pedal board. I believe they both have twin antennas, but the 14 are movable. Bottom line is form factor convenience, not performance. I have used both for my bass, and both for vocal mics in different situations. I have not noticed a difference in reception or audio performance. One note is that the 14 has both a 1/4" unbalanced and XLR balanced output, the 16 only has unbalanced 1/4". If you need to run xlr direct to a mixing board, maybe the 16 will be better. It would sort of be like having a DI box as well as driving an amp, albeit no ground lift. (I am assuming you play and instrument because you are looking at the body pack model, as well) Good luck!

Answer:	I do not understand the context of your question. A "dry feed" is an output that has NOT been modified i.e. reverb, overdrive, fuzzed up etc. If you take the output of the BLX receiver and process it, that is a "wet feed". You can use both outputs of the BLX receiver ( 1/4" & XLR ) any way you choose; both at the same time if it serves your purpose.Fuzz one up as wet and use the other as dry. There might be a small level reduction but any good board should handle it.
Question:	I've never used a wireless setup so I'm used to pluggin my cable straight into my pedal effects loop. How do I do that with this

Question:	Can this system be used with a guitar and bass at the same time
Answer:	The transmitter has only one input/output. So it cannot be used on two instruments at the same time. It can be switched between two instruments very quickly with no "setup" required other than plugging the receiver into the correct amp. Also, as the unit transmits on only one channel, trying to "mix" two instruments would be less than ideal. You could (I'll muddy this up real good now) plug a bass and guitar into a mixer and transmit from a sub out and use the mono mixed signal thru the single channel. Doing so would require enough sound equipment on the reciever to sort out the bass thru a crossover or whatever. This would defeat the purpose of a wireless system...IMHO. My recommendation: buy two units. You'll like the unit.
Question:	Does it work with guitar active pickups
Answer:	It does. It works with active or passive. Also works well with bass or guitar. Works with 'fex. Develop good battery schedule for the transmitter and you'll love it! When the transmitter (instrument unit) batteries die, it does so quickly and without warning. That said, it isn't battery hungry. Battery life is quite acceptable and the batteries are easy to change.

If you are looking for a wireless I can’t recommend this enough if only for the rechargeable battery feature. I’ve played with guys who had to change out their wireless batteries in the middle of every rehearsal. For me the ONLY downside on this was no rackmount kit. But I just put a piece of Velcro on the bottom and another piece on the top of the case my amp head is in. I’d advise getting a second battery. The charge lasts a LONG time but it’s always good to have a backup

Answer:	My guess is yes, but it depends on the tone arm you have. The mount is standard but the M78S works best with high compliance (low mass) tone arms. My tone arm is an SME 2009 Series ll (Imp). Answer:	Depending upon how the grooves of each individual record are worn by previous playing, sometimes there is less distortion/noise in one channel than in the other. 78 RPM freaks will take advantage of this during playback, but wiring the cartridge with the two channels parallel in mono configuration is the more practical way to go for all but the pickiest listeners.

Answer:	Mike - I ended up buying an additional AT headshell that holds the Shure M78S cartridge for my 78's. That way I can swap out the headshell/cartridge that came with the turntable (I too have a AT-LP120) for 33's. With both cartridges having their own headshell, its a breeze to switch them out.

Answer:	It comes with a 2.5 mil needle (stylus) suitable for playing 78 RPM records. The original 78 RPM styli were mostly 2.7 to 3 mil so this will set a little deeper in the groove on a lot of records, hopefully where less wear has occurred. An even slightly smaller diameter might be better but largely unavailable. It is not suitable for 33s or 45s.

Answer:	It does not sync to anything. It is a transmitter and receiver pair. The receiver plugs into an analog audio input of some kind. It has 1/4" and XLR outputs.

Answer:	I always have a problem with mics falling off, I bobby pin therm, clip them, whatever and they fall off the minute I jump. This one is a lot better. It doesn't adjust really, but it "holds" and if you wear a hat it helps quite a bit. Its probably one of the best I've ever used. I'm a GF director... Been teaching 20+ years.

Answer:	Yes, but as this particular BLXR receiver is a single channel, you will only be able to use 1 transmitter at a time ( handheld mic or body pack). You will also need to make sure the body pack you purchase matches the same frequency band as the receiver i.e. H9, H10, J10. Also, the BLX1 body pack does not come with the guitar patch cable.

Answer:	The unit does not come with rechargeable batteries. I would assume you could get rechargeable AA batteries to use in the transmitter. The receiver is AC powered, and does not use batteries.

Answer:	You need either an amplifier and speaker or an amplified speaker.

Answer:	The SM35 has the larger frequency response range at 40-20k Hz compared to the SM31FH's 45-20k Hz so the SM35 will be slightly better for singing. The SM31FH (Orange) features sweat proof/resistant features which will prevent rusting in humid environments.

Question:	Is this system compatible with ipad pro? trying to find a duo lapel, wireless microphone system for ipad pro to record mini social media videos. thank
Answer:	Assuming the unit is the same one we bought the antennas are internal on the mic transmitter and external on the receiver. The picture at the left of the question doesn't match our units.
Question:	Internal antenna
Answer:	We own two of these systems. The only way we can get the for transmitters to work is if they are on separating channels. For example, all odd channels or all even. I started out with channel 1,2,3 and 4. That did not work and gave terrible crosstalk. I now have them setup as, 3, 5, 7 and 9.
Question:	It says you can use up to 12 systems, does this refer to 12 Receivers (24 Transmitters) or only 12 Transmitters
Answer:	The size, (dimensions) for these are all the same. The difference is the frequency range the wireless microphone use ? I highly recommend you to review www.shure.com and find out the recommended frequency (group) for your area. It can greatly reduce the interference.
Question:	What is the difference in the sizes? h8, h9, h10, j10, k12, m
Answer:	This would not be the most ideal microphone for a vocal Mic for a drummer... the beta 98h/c is a clip on Mic used for wind instruments... for example... trumpets, saxophones, etc... I would probably recommend the headset version of the Shure GLXD... hope this helps!

Question:	We need a wireless system to run fitness classes. is this the best one at the low end of the price range & do we need to buyanything else to use it
Answer:	The mic headset is actually flexible, so very comfortable!
Question:	Will the mic headset fit comfortably for someone who teaches fitness and wears glasses
Answer:	There is no difference in the unit itself other than what frequency band it operates on. Different frequency bands will have different occupied / non-occupied channels which could affect whether you have interference or drop outs during use. Refer to Shure's wireless frequency finder page: http://www.shure.com/americas/support/tools/wireless-frequency-finder to find out which frequency band best suits your area. The H8, K12 and M15 bands are now discontinued and not recommended for future use. The current bands are the H9, H10 and J10.
Question:	Why would one buy the H8 versus the M15? I see they are different frequency but what would that mean
Answer:	I am not sure about an Ion. My receiver unit connects to a Fender Passport PD150 PA system using a standard XLR Male/Female cable.
Question:	Will this unit connect to an ion pathfinder portable speaker
Answer:	No. The Airline 77 has the transmitter built into the microphones headband. There is no way to plug a different mic into that transmitter.

Answer:	No. The indicator is for the batteries in the transmitter so you can monitor the body pack's remaining charge.

Answer:	that is going to be dependent on a tremendous amount of variables. room shape, composition, what the structure of the walls and beams are made of, available frequencies of the location you are at, etc... the first place that I would start would be on Shure's frequency finder page to find the optimal frequencies for your location and go from there: https://www.shure.com/en-US/support/tools/frequency-finder
Question:	What type speaker is compatible with this system
Answer:	This will work with any system that take XLR. If you have a powered speaker with a XLR input on the back, you can just plug it into the speaker. The best type of connection would be to use a mixer connected to either an amp with passive speakers connected or having the mixer connected directly to powered speaker. This way you would be able to control the levels using the mixer. If you connect directly to a powered speaker, you would have to use the volume control on the speaker. A lot would depend on the application you are using it for. Hope this helps.
