User questions & answers
Question: | Does this work with asio SA76 44 mini |
Answer: | Works great! Can't go wrong for the price |
Question: | can this microphone be plugged in a laptop and can you hear the sound clearly if you do or does it have to be an amplifier |
Answer: | You can plug it into a laptop using an adaptor (female 1/4" to male 3.5mm - available at any radio shack) - if you want to record into the computer or broadcast on the internet. User questions & answers
Question: | Is it a kiddy kind of microphone? or is it a n adult kind |
Answer: | It's more an adult than a kiddy!!!! I would give it a rating of 7 out of 10 comparing it to a kid or an adult. Other words, it isn't one you would find on a professional stage but it is not a kids either. Hope this helps. |
Question: | What is the length when folded up? I want to buy carrying a case for it |
Answer: | I really don't know I gave it as a gift |
Question: | what is the height minimum and maximum? Does the height adjust |
Answer: | it adjusts and is used by my 9 year old (4 foot something) and can go as high for about a 5 7" person |
Question: | Will this work, out of the box on its own? Or do I need to purchase an amp. This is for a 4 year old and 6 year old as a toy |
Answer: | You will need an amp. I bought the Danelectro N10B Honey Tone Mini Amp in aqua (although they are selling it in burgundy on amazon right now) and then also a cable.. I think everything total came to about $40? At the time my kids were 5 & 6 and 9 and the younger two used it a great deal. It has a nice quality sound to it and the amp is tiny but sounds great for the price! Hope that helps! Oh and I think just because Philly George uses it for an adult purpose in a studio does not mean it can't be used for kids as well. Microphones marketed specifically to kids are notoriously poor quality, this one does the job well and has stood up to my kids' not so gentle usage very well. Good luck! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this accept only mics or can you put a guitar or mono key board line into it |
Answer: | You can. Any low level mono source will work. |
Question: | Amazon description says the Dimensions are 14 x 13.8 x 8.8 inches. Nady's website says it is 6 x3 x2 inches, Which is correct |
Answer: | The Nady "mini mixer" is approx 6x3x2 inches |
Question: | So the description says 'echo' and the reviews say 'reverb'. Does this unit provide 'echo' or 'reverb' effects, or both |
Answer: | Adolfo,It is true that, as you have noticed, the term "echo" (one or more distinct delayed repetitions) is very often used for "reverb" (room acoustic simulation). In this case, we do mean "echo" and not "reverb": The effect is a delay repeated several times. You can control the amount of effect as well as the delay time (up to 250 msec.)Feel free to contact us should you have any other questions about this product. Our phone number is 510.652.2411.Best regards,Charlie Denis - Nady Systems |
Question: | Canu plug an ipod to microphone jack |
Answer: | I don't own an iPod, but if it has the microphone capacity then yes you can. You will be needing a jack adapter. The microphone mixer is to make the sound pleasing by adjusting the echoes, depth. I love my Nady... |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it have to be hooked up to anything or can my kids use it to sing along with the radio |
Answer: | This receiver/transmitter needs to be hooked up to an amplifier. The wireless mics send a signal to the receiver/transmitter, which is connected via 1/4" plug in connector. If you want to just transmit thru a radio, there are wireless mics out there that connect thru an fm frequency, but quality is poor. If you go to your local radio shack or music store, someone will be able to show you how the mics hook up. |
Question: | I already have this set and i love it. i would like a second set so we can use 4 mics. can i use two of the same sets |
Answer: | Hi Debbie, Thank you for your interest in this product. This is a 2 ch set. You could get multiple mics on the same channel. There are ch B&D and ch P&R. Your mics have to match the base, though. So you could have 2 Bs and 2 Ds or 2 Ps and 2 Rs. But the 2 would only have one volume knob to control each set. If you need 4 separate channels, each with individual control, then yes, you need a B&D ch with a B&D base and P&R ch with a P&R base.In short YES you could use both you will just have to make sure that the mic's are paired to the right receiver. I hope this was helpful. Thanks, Ray James |
Question: | Will this hook into a guitar amplifier |
Answer: | Yes it will |
Question: | Which adapter would I need for connecting to a computer. And, would there be any delays of sound coming from the speakers |
Answer: | Great question! You would use the supplied 1/4-inch cable connected to either an 1/8-inch adapter which connects to most computer sound cards. If experiencing latency from your sound card, you may download the ASIO4ALL sound driver to enhance the delay response between signal input and output (latency). Another option would be to purchase a USB audio interface, USB 1/4-inch adapter, or USB audio mixer. These dedicated options would provide much better control and stability than most on-board or stock 'add-on' computer sound cards. |

Question: | I was told to get a pop screen with OUT metal parts on frame & screen, ONLY nylon. Can you tell me what this frame & screen is made of? Thk u |
Answer: | The screen frame itself is made out of plastic. The product in it's entirety does have metal components such as the bendable neck, but there is no metal on the frame or on the screen. There is just one little tightening screw which holds and connects the frame to the neck. I'm not to sure about cottons and fabric, so I can't say I know that the fabric is nylon. |
Question: | Does it work with the neewer mic stand |
Answer: | To be perfectly frank: I don't know... Born in the 20th Century, as was my child, but now living in the 21at Century; being made to feel guilty for it and not really interested. Hang on... Good. Please, edit before posting: neewer is painful... |
Question: | How do I put it on |
Answer: | it comes with pole clampso you can attach it to your mic stand. but if your using it like at your desk i would clamp on the edge of the desk and just bend it to the area where the mic is at. or just over my built in mic on my laptop. it can get in the way but gives a way better sound. |

Product description
Replacement / extra handheld wireless microphone for Nady U-1100 or U-2100 systems (Make sure to order the right band! )
The Nady U-1100 HT is the handheld wireless microphone to be used with the Nady U-1100 (single transmitter operation) or U-2100 (dual transmitter operation). Ideal for both music and speech, and for interview-style applications, the U-1100 HT features high quality components and delivers clear, crisp audio every time.Do I need Band A or Band B? The U-1100 and U-2100 systems operate in the UHF range using one or two banks of 100 channels: Band A: 480-504.75 MHz or Band B: 505-529.75 MHz A band A transmitter can only work with a band A receiver (either a U-1100 Band A receiver or channel#1 of any U-2100 receiver) A band B transmitter can only work with a band B receiver (either a U-1100 Band B receiver or channel#2 of any U-2100 receiver)
Here is how to determine the operating band of a system component:A U-1100 receiver can either be Band A or Band B. To find out which band your receiver is operating on, look at the label at the bottom of the receiver. A U-2100 dual channel receiver is always Band A on channel 1 and band B on channel 2, so there is only one kind of receiver. Choose a Band A transmitter (handheld microphone or bodypack) to pair with Channel 1 of the U-2100 receiver and Band B to pair with Channel 2 of the U-2100 receiver Handheld Microphone Transmitter: Unscrew the battery cap to uncover a silver sticker with the letter A or B indicating which band it operates on. Bodypack Transmitter (LT or GT): Open the battery compartment and look for the letter "A" or "B"
- Consumer Alert: Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device.
