User questions & answers
Question: | Can i use this subwoofer whit a 10" JBL powered speakers |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | what is the max wattage this baby can give |
Answer: | Realistically probably about 300 watts. Their spec sheet says 500w is max. independent of limiters and other protection circuits. These are pretty good subs especially for the price however if you can afford the Behringer B1500HP I would get that. I have used both and the B1500HP hits harder without using the bass boost then the VQ1500 hits using the boost. It can also handle much larger/louder environments. If you are mobile and dragging it around a lot the HP does weigh more. |
Question: | Is this 500w continuous |
Answer: | Yes, the 500w is continuous. |
Question: | Is this 500w peak/250w rms? or 500w rms |
Answer: | I have no idea. It's in the garage. It sounds pretty good for a Behringer 15" sub. Worth the money. |

Super-X Pro CX3400 V2
The CX3400 stereo 2-way/3-way/ mono 4-way crossover provides the ultimate in high-precision audio frequency separation, thanks to its state-of-the-art circuitry, superior-grade components, ultra low-noise op amps and balanced I/O connectivity. CX3400 features include: Limiters on all crossover outputs for optimal loudspeaker protection; an adjustable Time Delay for proper phase-alignment of the drivers; High-Frequency (HF) horn equalization for constant-directivity compensation; and a mono 'Low Sum' Output (stereo modes only), which is ideal for your subwoofer applications.
Sound Quality
When a sound system is properly tuned, it becomes powerful, balanced and efficient. Bass content is punchy and tight, with vocals and instruments that are rich, crisp and well defined. The CX3400 crossover’s accurate signal processing protects critical loudspeaker components and improves overall system efficiency. All Input and Output connections are balanced/unbalanced XLR and feature 25 Hz Low Cut filters for low-frequency driver protection – plus off er Mute and Phase Invert switches, making troubleshooting even a large system – virtually effortless!
What’s a Crossover?
Loudspeakers (which we call transducers) convert electrical signals into sound waves. And no matter how well a transducer is designed or made, it simply cannot reproduce the entire audio spectrum all by itself. Low-frequency sounds tend to push a transducer to the maximum, making it impossible for that same transducer to reproduce the treble content with the sound quality it deserves. (Try singing high falsetto next time you’re bench-pressing your limit!) That's why high-quality sound systems use multiple speakers (woofers and tweeters) to spread out the work. While the woofer (usually the larger transducer) does all the heavy lifting, the tweeter can easily handle the high-frequency content. Three and four-way systems distribute the work even more, allowing the individual transducers to reproduce the frequency range for which they were designed. It is the crossover’s function to divide these tasks between the various amplifiers and transducers.
Divide and Conquer
The CX3400 provides three modes of operation: 2-way stereo, for Left and Right Lows (woofers) and Highs (tweeters); and 3-way stereo, for Left and Right Lows, Mids and Highs; and 4-way mono, for Lows, Low-Mids, High-Mids and Highs. For your convenience, the CX3400’s front panel features an elegant and easy-to-read LED matrix, so you can see at a glance which operating mode has been selected – and which controls are currently active.
CD Horn Compensation
When a driver radiates into open space via a horn, its efficiency increases. Over the past few years, constant-directivity horns have gained widespread popularity, since they are designed to produce consistent dispersion over their entire frequency range – however, the higher the frequency, the lower the efficiency. To compensate for this, the CX3400 includes a switchable pre-EQ for CD horns that ensures a fl at frequency response, even before equalization is applied. This pre-EQ raises the signal gain by 3 dB at 3.5 kHz, which then increases by 6 dB/oct. up to 22.5 kHz
Low Sum Output
In stereo mode, the CX3400 can be switched to 'Mono Bass' mode by pressing the Low Sum button. When this feature is activated, the LF signals in the Left and Right channels are summed together and then routed to the Channel 1 Low Output, where it can be used to drive your active subwoofers, passive subwoofer power amplifiers, or lighting controllers, etc. The Low Sum Output is presented in mono, since people perceive extremely-low bass frequencies as being omnidirectional.
Extraordinary Value
The CX3400 can be used for a wide range of applications, such as loudspeaker systems in small clubs or large halls, improving the sound quality of your on-stage monitor systems – or enhancing your studio monitors’ performance by adding a subwoofer. The high-precision CX3400 is the super-effective and affordable way to optimize the performance of your sound system – and protect your valuable loudspeaker investment at the same time! Question: | Como conectar mis bosinas con el crossover |
Answer: | No pude conectarlos |
Question: | Dustin didn't answer my question. i want to isolate channel 2. use it for a separate source and output. no connection to sub. is it possible |
Answer: | Yes, I don't understand why you would want to use this peice of equipment for that but it's possible. |
Question: | Can this crossover be used to have stereo mids and highs along with mono subs |
Answer: | Yes it can. |
Question: | What wires use to string this |
Answer: | this is a crossover. its not a mixer but it takes the out via XLR Balanced form the mixer on the way to your speakers. on the way to the speakers the cross over that your asking about will send the bass, mids, and highs to the correct speakers that you should already own.crossover doesn't work to well if you don't have the right speaker set up. but to answer your question you need XLR strings to wire this. little advice unless you abousltly need this and know how to take advantage of it you do know the XLR cables to wire this will probably cost more then the crossover! |

ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502HD
Professional audio engineers have known for decades that a good EQ makes all the difference in how a performance is perceived. Although multi-band graphic equalizers have been around for a long time, they have changed very little… until now! The ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502HD takes the graphic equalizer into the realm of high-definiton audio, providing robust features and our proprietary FBQ Feedback Detection System
How Does Equalization Work?
Imagine the audio frequency range as a very wide highway with lots of “lanes”. Each of these lanes represents a specific frequency band.
- The lanes on the left side contain the really low frequency content, mainly bass, bass vocals, and the kick and tom drums
- The middle lanes make up the fundamental zone of most musical instruments and the male and female vocals
- The right-hand lanes have all the highfrequency stuff, such as snare drums, cymbals, higher pitched percussion instruments and the content that adds sizzle to the mix
Ultra-Low Noise Operation
The high-definition FBQ1502HD provides superb, ultra-low noise performance thanks to German engineering, and the use of quality components. 4580 dual operational amplifiers are employed throughout for the utmost signal integrity across the entire audio spectrum. With 15-bands of smooth and precise equalization per channel, the stereo FBQ1502HD adds the finishing professional touch to your recordings and live shows.
Built in Crossover
Speaking of special low-frequency tools, the FBQ1502HD also has a dedicated subwoofer output with an adjustable (30 - 200 Hz) cut-off frequency. Balanced XLR Outs are provided so you can connect to power amps or directly to your active subwoofers, without any additional hardware.

User questions & answers
Question: | Do this amp drive 4 sub of precision devices pdn |
Answer: | USB is limited to 2 channels each way (total of 4 channels) and is not configurable beyond that. This, in your case, you could have two mics panned to the right and the other two to the left, or any combination thereof, but there's only ever going to be 2 distinct channels going from mixer to PC (or Mac) via USB. |
Question: | How to buy 240v input of this amp |
Answer: | No, they won't plug into this in the way *I think* you want them to. There's a USB port on the back of this, but it's for interfacing with a computer, not for plugging USB microphones into it. Side note: I have an AT2020 USB, and I like it... but to use this mixing board with three AT2020s, you would need the XLR-type interface AT2020 mic, not the USB type. (Search for "AT2020 side address" on Amazon.) |
Question: | Does it come with power supply cord |
Answer: | It depends on two things - 1: what kind of mics you have and 2: if you need all of the audio recorded into separate channels on the computer. If you have 6 mics that are XLR or need phantom power, then this will not suit your needs - this can only power 4 XLR mics. (If you have what are called dynamic mics with 1/4" plugs - or self powered condensor mics that can use 1/4" jacks - then you are fine). For the second part (about separate channels) it really depends what you want to be able to do. The USB part of this mixer records just two separate channels into the computer - the same as the left and right main output of the mixer. So if you were to use 6 mics you would have them all recorded, but all together. (Thus, if someone was too quiet, you could not just turn them up after the fact.) You can use the panning to get two completely separate tracks, but that's clearly not enough for what you're trying to do. If you want to record all 6 tracks independently you will need something more expensive. I hope this helps! |
Question: | I have rcf 18" subwoofer 1800w,so would this amp work on 8ohms |
Answer: | One possible way to use the usb mic with this mixer ( and most mixers, due to interfacing) would be to run the usb mic into a PC, change the pc settings to mic monitoring, and run the audio out from the PC back into a channel on the mixer. Currently no one manufactures a USB female input to XLR Male output audio interface, to make the mic run with the board. You also may be able to link the mixer to your PC via the on-board USB mixer interface. Through the Behringer software you should be able map the USB mic to a bus in the mixer software for output. That would prevent you from having to run audio out of the PC with microphone monitoring enabled. Let us know if you have anymore questions. Thanks Dave @ DC Music Store |
