Question:	Is the top flat perpendicular to the floor, or it has an angle
Answer:	It can be flat or you can have it an angle it is adjustable.
Question:	Is the surface smooth? No bumps or grit
Answer:	The surface has a slight texture to it, but no bumps or grit. The screws that secure it to the mount are counter sunk so the are not in the way of anything.
Question:	how big is the tray
Answer:	Not sure of actual dimensions but I use it for a pretty beefy 25-key midi controller, so a laptop would easily fit on this bad boy.
Question:	Can you fit a mouse on it with a 17" laptop
Answer:	I don't think you would have too much room to move a mouse very far. You would have to put the laptop againtst the far left or right side of the top platform and as my review states, this has a VERY flexible and smooth top. I was not comfortable having an expensive laptop sitting on the top when it is so bendable and flexible so I returned mine. All in all, if you were comfortable with the flexiblity of the top, you could use the mouse but not for moving it more than a few inches at a time.

Answer:	No. Stay away from this product. It claims 5/8 in the information but comes with 3/8 thread
Question:	can the horizontal arm be pointed down for children to use
Answer:	Yes, the horizontal arm may be lowered or raised vertically. Very quick and easy to do. As for posts made by professionals, it's not designed for day in and out road tours. But it will function very well for home use with careful guidance and supervision.
Question:	i have a rode video mic pro, will i be able to attach this mic to this boom pole and stand? I'm guessing i'll need some kind of adapter

Answer:	strong enough for anything that I throw at it. the only plastic on the tripod are the tightening handles and clamp for extension. there is a steel pin to hold the height of the pole.
Question:	I bought this stand and next to the hight adjustment knob there is a small pin on a chain connected to it. What is this for? Am I missing something
Answer:	It is recommended to use this pin rather than rely on the adjustment knob whenever possible. The weight of the speaker can cause the grip action of the adjustment knob to eventually wear out and be able to slip. Using the pin simply eliminates this from happening, and is also extra safety measure when the speaker is in place, especially for a fairly heavy speaker.

Answer:	It should hold a standard theater projector. Just ensure that the locking knobs are tightened. There isn't a screw hole to secure the projector. You'll need to strap it down or apply non slip adhesives to the tray. An alternative would be to drill holes lining up to existing bottom holes and bolt it in. Hope that helps.

Answer:	You could adjust it to any height, up to its maximum. The drilled holes are for extra security to keep it from sliding back down. But you could tighten the nut enough to hold it wherever you want. You just won't have that added security. You could always put the pin at the next higher hole so that, if it did slide, it would only go a couple inches.

Question:	Does the mount rotate left to right 360 degrees (without moving the entire stand
Answer:	I just got this and what they are shipping now does not match the picture - it has the same model number though so they must have changed it. It only tilts 25 degrees (listing shows it tilting 360 such that it could tilt towards the ceiling). and it does not rotate to portrait (2 bolts holding the Vesa plate).

Answer:	16.5 inches leg to leg when fully opened / extended.
Question:	Is it easy on/off tv mount? Or do you have to use tools each time to remove tv from mount
Answer:	You have to use tools to attach or detach the TV to the mount. I purchased a Ergotron-Quick-Release-Bracket-60-589-060/ which made attaching or detaching the TV convenient.

Mine are on the stands 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. With 50 lbs to 60 lbs. No wobble or slipping. No issues what so ever.

Answer:	1st Qus.: Yes but with light use and not recommended. As it doesn't have raise edges, items can fall off with downward pressure on the platform.2nd Qus.: Not recommended to place this on top of another desk as a raised workspace/desktop as it is not sufficiently stable.Platform is attached to stand by a single pipe/tube and can rotate with downward pressure. Fundamental design is not for typical use as a desk.

Question:	This is very confusing. I can’t figure out how to attach the plate to the tripod? It didn’t come with instructions and it’s not intuitive
Answer:	Make sure you have all the parts there should be like a knuckle that attaches to the plate and then to the post . The plate is adjustable as in tilting should have a type of knob bolt that makes it easy to tilt and hold in place . Sounds like if you may not have this part . I will try and send a picture later .
