Question:	Purchased 11-6-19. does this device even have a metronome as described in the specs?? if so, i don't see how to activate it
Answer:	No. The throat doesn't open far enough. The product literature say the throat only opens to 1.58 inches or 4 cm. I was able to increase it to 1.75 inches by removing the little rubber pads which made it just large enough for my viola. So unless you have a really skinny uke, this will not fit. I would think a tuner that clamps on to your peghead would work just fine.

These instruments take many shortcuts to make them cheaper. That is a big problem as the student will get frustrated (and so will their teacher) and all too often will quit playing because of the cheap method of construction. Do Not Buy Any Super Cheap Instruments!!! Would you expect a super cheap car to be reliable and safe? Of course not!! Why do you think this is different?

Answer:	I have never heard that humidity is a significant factor in choosing the right rosin. Dark rosin is generally stickier than light and this is the primary reason that people choose one over the other.

Answer:	Helicores have a twisted wire core whereas Preludes have a steel core. The wires are steel but very fine so the twisted wire makes the string vibrate like a synthetic core. The E string on the violin, however, like most E strings, is plain steel. If you want a wound E string, the metal in the winding will be specified, e.g. gold, silver or aluminum.

Answer:	These are nylon-core strings, with a steel E string. According to the string details on the package, the D and A strings are aluminum wrapped and the G is silver wraped. I am pleased with their sound and bow response.

Answer:	Yes, definitely. I've been using them on my acoustic AND my 5-string Yamaha electric. They still sound great and last for at least 3 months playing every week.

Answer:	This has more to do with the type of instrument you are playing. Most people prefer the lighter rosin with violin, darker with cello. Viola tends to go either way in my experience.

Answer:	Dark rosin is stickier and softer. Light rosin is harder and less sticky. They also make a difference in how the instrument will sound.

Answer:	Hi, I have a degree is the viola and play professionally in two symphonies. A lot of it which rosin you get will depend on your personal preference, which you’ll develop over time. Do you prefer a rosin with more grip? Dark versus light? Etc. While price does certainly have a relationship to quality, I’ve found it is not necessary to spend $20 on a cake of rosin if you find one that you like and works well with your instrument. That all said, generally dark amber rosin works well for most beginners. You would be fine with this rosin.
