Answer:	I can’t swear to it but I got this tuner and the clip that attaches to the instrument. I did not attach the clip to the instrument and it still worked just fine. So it could ”hear” pitch. So I would say yes it will work for voice.

Greetings, What I said is I bought this because I am going to start to do my own repairs, and this is an important tool to cut a new post. Pardon me if I was unclear on that. This tool is and only is for measuring the distance between the front and back panels of your instrument so you know what length to cut your sound post. I'm not aware of anyone trying to set a post with this. Once this tool is used to measure your post, and it is cut, then you will need the tool to set the post. I copied this from my purchase history. "Violin/Viola S Style Sound post Setter, Sets the Standard For the Very useful S Setter, Rubber Grip, Stainless Steel Sharpened Point USA" This tool is notched for different thicknesses of posts, and is the tool you would need to set the post in place. I bought it on Amazon for $13.39 I hope that clears up any misunderstanding.

Question:	How well does this work for a bass guitar? I've got a Snark that doesn't register well on my Fender Jazz bass
Answer:	I find this tuner works good on bass and guitar. I will take these over a snark any day. You can also tune to the 12th fret harmonic which picks up better sometimes.
Question:	How can this work with any guitar case? It wouldn’t sit in there safely whatsoever. Very impractical
Answer:	Yes it does. It is so small, you can clamp it on the breadstick in between the tuners. It actually has a lower profile than most tuning pegs.
Question:	Could i use this for intonation
Answer:	Yes. It will register any note that you play whether fretted or not. You can lightly touch a string at the 12th fret so it rings when plucked without pushing it against the fret and compare it to the note you get when you push the string down at the 12th fret. This shows you how close your intonation is. Bear in mind that fretted instruments are tempered scales. This means that some notes are more in tune than others and people who really care tune their instruments to the key that they are playing in. If you want a precision tuner to set the accurate intonation for each string, get a better tuner but this one will get you close.
Question:	If I change the pitch to 432Hz, will it reset to 440Hz if I turn it off and back on
Answer:	No it stays in 432Hz.
