You could also get the bumper accessory sold by string swing, or stick a piece of rubber/foam behind the guitar on the wall if you have concerns, I have the bumper but my acoustics don't even touch them when hanging on the mounts. |

Those are available at any hardware. Still, all of my hangers go into studs. Just safer that way. |

| Answer: | The hooks are very sturdy, but the main consideration is how the hooks are fastened to the wall. I recommend using a longer screws and mounting the hooks to a stud behind the drywall, or using a set of heavy duty drywall taps if the bass is more than 10lbs. I hung three guitars including a Fender Strat that was 8.5 lbs with no problem. The hooks come with a set of screws. The screws are not long enough to screw deep enough into a stud behind drywall. I used a longer set of screws that better matched the drywall taps I was using. |

| Answer: | We have spent a lot of time and resources to make sure that our material will not react with nitrocellulose finish, but unfortunately an unconditional guarantee is something that no one can honestly give. Our material will not chemically react like some foams and rubbers of our competitors do. We have seen discolorations, hazing, and smudges. The smudges almost always wipe by hand, as our material is petroleum based which like a fingerprint will leave a light oily smudge at times. Many of the other times the culprit has been polishes, sunlight, previously used hangers, and under-cured finish, but once in a while there is no explanation. The one thing that I can assure you is that there is nothing safer on the market. In good conscious we cannot say that nothing can ever happen, due to the sensitivity of the finish. We have sold millions of hangers that hold large collections of vintage guitars. Gibson and Fender both use our hangers for their trade show displays. |
