14 best esp thin neck acoustic guitars
ESP is recognized for its expertise in crafting various types of guitars, including acoustic guitars with thin necks. A thin neck on an acoustic guitar refers to a neck with a slimmer profile, which can be more comfortable for players, especially those with smaller hands or those accustomed to the feel of electric guitar necks.
ESP's acoustic guitars with thin necks are designed to provide players with a more streamlined and ergonomic playing experience, allowing for easier fretting and chord transitions. This design feature can be particularly beneficial for individuals transitioning from electric to acoustic guitars.
The thin necks on ESP acoustic guitars do not compromise on the overall structural integrity or sound quality of the instrument. These guitars are engineered to maintain a balanced tone and resonance while offering the comfort and playability associated with a thinner neck profile.
In the broader context of guitar bass accessories and instrument accessories, having a variety of neck profiles available, including thin necks, allows musicians to select a guitar that aligns with their playing style and preferences. Acoustic guitars with thin necks can be a great option for those seeking a more contemporary and comfortable playing experience on an acoustic platform.

ESP LTD James Hetfield Snakebyte Electric Guitar, Satin Black
ESP LTD's James Hetfield Snakebyte electric guitar may carry the Metallica frontman's name and signature pickups, but with its set-neck construction and locking tuners, it's got features to please just about anyone with a wild and heavy playing style.
Founded in 1996, ESP's LTD brand helped bring the quality and prestige of ESP to a more affordable price in order to accommodate all players. A wide range of LTD models are made to cover everyone from beginning players to serious working musicians. With numerous different model families to choose from, we are sure there is an LTD guitar perfect for you!
Hetfield-Designed Pickups Roar
Players on a mission to nail those heavy Metallica rhythm guitar sounds will appreciate the pickups loaded in the Snakebyte. The EMG JH 'Het Set' pickups were designed in collaboration with Hetfield himself, to evoke the EMG pickups he's used for the past 30 years. The neck pickup includes ceramic poles and bobbins, while the bridge pickup uses steel pole pieces. The results for both are higher-output and fuller in the low end than the EMG 60/81 combo Hetfield previously used.
Custom Snakebyte Marker
The mahogany neck is set into the body for improved sustain, and is cut in a thin-U neck contour for speedy play. The 22 extra-jumbo fret ebony fretboard features a custom Snakebyte marker centered around the 12th fret.
Thrash Away While Staying in Tune
To ensure the Snakebyte was ready for wild and aggressive players, ESP outfitted the guitar with high-end features like Sperzel locking tuners, and a TonePros locking Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece. Though the hardtail bridge does not offer whammy bar potential, the locking bridge and tuners mean you can beat down on the low strings or make wide bends on the high strings without worrying about unintentional detuning.

Question: | Any hard case for ltd esp stream |
Answer: | Per E.S.P U.S.A. website states "The official ESP hard shell form fit case. Exclusively fits the Stream series bass models and the JC-4." SKU: CSTREAMFF |
Question: | Does this case work with the esp ltd rb-1004 electric bass guitar |
Answer: | My bass is the 499.00 ESP LTD Fretless 5 String, looking at the body shape of yours, and comparing it to mine.....they look to be the exact same shape. But I can't tell you 100 % that it will work. Take a look at them both and see what you think. Hope I helped you some. Have a blessed day. |
Question: | Does this fit an ESP Ax104 bass guitar |
Answer: | Hey Kevin, Go on line and check out the ESP site and type in you Bass model. It will list the exact case. It could very well be the same case but that is the way I found which one fits my bass. Hope this hell. Happy strumming! |
Question: | does this fit the b206sm |
Answer: | no it doesn't, I made the mistake of buying it for my B206sm thinking it would fit, and it didn't . The b206sm has a thicker neck, and a thicker body, so it won't fit no matter what. I just bought myself a gc-bass gator case, and it fits perfect |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this come with a soft carrying case |
Answer: | Mine did not come with a case. I am currently using a base guitar case to take it out. It does not fit in my other electric guitar case. |
Question: | How long does this take to ship if I ordered with prime |
Answer: | Typical Prime Shipping. |
Question: | Is this guitar suitable for anything but metal, as-is? I like goth, shoegaze, and some sludge metal |
Answer: | Baritone guitar was originally designed for country music and surf music. It just added more depth to the sound having mastered octaves within the group. Think if a baritone guitar this way; it’s basically playing a seven string without the seventh string. Same basic tuning and range. It just has a longer scale allowing for it to tune to B standard instead of E standard. To me it sounds gorgeous clean and even better distorted. It’s PERFECT for sludge and shoe gaze. In fact most recordings you hear where the band is tuned lower it was most likely a baritone guitar used to make that recording. If you try to tune to the B or Dropped A race on a standard 24.75-25.5” scale guitar you’re going to have to use crazy heavy strings so it doesn’t sound flubby and then you’ll most likely run into intonation problems as well as having to slit the nut for tuning stability. A baritone guitar (26.5” scale and above ) is ALWAYS preferable to down tuning a standard guitar just because the sound and stability are far far superior |
Question: | baritone guitar"??? I have been playing for over 40 years and never heard of a baratone guitar. What does baratone imply |
Answer: | Baritone guitar was created in the 1950’s for country and surf music. Actually I believe the Fender bass VI came first and then was basically converted to a baritone guitar. Baritone guitar is a longer scale guitar beginning at 26.5” and your standard range to truly be a baritone is generally 27.7”. The longer scale allows for more string tension and is generally tuned in B standard. When it was created it was just to give a layered octave within the total band mix for more depth. Baritone guitar actually sounds extremely gorgeous both clean and dirty. Generally when you down tune below drop C on a standard guitar you have to exponentially go up on your string gauges to eliminate flubby tone and string tension. Then you have to slot the nut to accommodate the larger string gauge but you generally still have intonation issues because of the shorter scale on a standard guitar. So in essence a baritone guitar is a 7 string guitar without the 7th string. It’s the same low B tuning with superior playability, tone, and stability. It’s the unholy union of bass and guitar to create the Mecca of tuning low. When I say tuning low though don’t let it fool you. The sound is gorgeous and full. Nearly any and every recording you’ve ever heard with a lower tuned guitar was most likely made using a baritone guitar. It’s a must own for any studio |

ESP LTD Gary Holt GH-600 Electric Guitar
Feel your fingers fly their fastest with the ESP LTD Gary Holt GH-600 electric guitar. Before teaming up with Slayer, Holt made his name in the thrash band Exodus for 30 years. This signature axe brings Holt's force to your hands in thrash metal style, featuring a powerful and sleek EMG 89R and EMG 81R Red pickup pairing, a sturdy yet comfortable mahogany neck, a smooth and lightning-fast ebony fingerboard, and a flexible Floyd Rose bridge.
Floyd Rose Bridge Pushing the Limit
A Floyd Rose tremolo bridge holds your strings down securely, while leaving enough flexibility to offer greater sustain and room for string bending and dive bombs. This bridge is a treat for the shredding guitarist. After you get your strings in tune, lock them down at the nut, and you can go on shredding for weeks without having to worry about losing any intonation.
Lightning-Fast Mahogany Neck
The mahogany neck on your Gary Holt GH-600 electric guitar features a comfortable Thin U contour for your hand to traverse with ease. 22 XJ frets span over a smooth ebony fingerboard which boasts a cool red binding and super tight action. This neck is a perfect playground for your fingers to push themselves to the limit and see just how fast each note can fly from the fretboard to your amplifier.
Pair of Red EMG Pickups
That wall-of-sound EMG pickup pairing is tough to beat. These active humbuckers will fuel your signal with a powerful metal tone that pierces through the air. The EMG 89R at the neck forges a slightly warmer output with plenty of body, while the EMG 81R at the bridge features that aggressive and powerful EMG sound heard from many different guitarists in the metal and thrash scene. Play around with your pickup settings and dual volume controls to hear the huge dynamic reach these two pickups can deliver on demand.

User questions & answers
Question: | what about the tuners machine? how precise are they? ratio |
Answer: | I can find no specific ratio listed for them. They are somewhat generic-nothing fancy. If I were gigging with this guitar I'd probably put some grovers on it. Pickups sound great and it plays good too. |
Question: | Are the tuners locking or no |
Answer: | Not locking tuners. But the ones they use are still very good. |
Question: | Are the necks of the ec-256 & ec-1000 similarly fast & comfortable? is the main difference the paint job, hardware, & 24 frets on the 1000? thanks |
Answer: | The 256 is one of the best playing guitars I own. It’s on par with my PRS that cost 3x more. The 1000 has higher quality pickups too. But the ones on the 256 are very very good for the price. |
Question: | Does it sound like a Les Paul |
Answer: | No, different pick ups, but it does play a lot like a Les Paul, feels quite similar, I have (2) EC-256's, cobalt blue and cherry sunburst and a Les Paul custom, so I can make a comparison, I put Seymore Duncan Hot rodded humbucker in the Cobalt blue EC-256, and Bill Lawrence pick ups in the Cherry Sunburst, way better sound than the stock pick ups, stock are kinda muddy sounding, would be fine for hardcore heavy metal, I like a cleaner sound, you can't beat the quality of this guitar for the price, it is an excellent guitar for a great price, shop around and find the best deal, and make sure the shipper packs it well. |

Set of ESP LH-150 Humbuckers
Your pair of ESP LH-150 bridge and neck humbuckers give you a wide range of sonic output to traverse -- from well-articulated clean tones to some serious rock-infused distortion. These passive pickups are dark-voiced, but a few tweaks of your tone control will brighten things up when you need that extra high end. A three-way pickup selector switch gives you three pickup combinations to switch between during your set.
Mahogany Set Neck in Thin U Contour
Spanning 22 XJ frets in length is your ESP LTD EC-256FM's sturdy mahogany neck. This melodious appendage is cut into a comfy thin U contour that fits in your hand like a glove. Each fret offers a nice and tight action, and a smooth rosewood fingerboard plays like butter. The mahogany neck adds a pleasant darkness to your performance, while set-neck construction delivers a serious dose of sustain.
Push/Pull Tone Pot for Coil-Splitting
A nice extra feature on this ESP is its push/pull tone pots. Coil-splitting is a great assist for those times when you want your signal to really cut through the mix -- awesome for licks and solos. Using this feature in conjunction with your three-setting pickup selector switch gives you essentially six different pickup settings to play around with.

ESP has been recognized for its high quality standards and meticulous craftsmanship since the company was founded. Every ESP instrument is inspected thoroughly by our quality control technicians prior to shipping to your local dealer.

Question: | Does it come with a case |
Answer: | Great question ! The longer the string the deeper the gear ratio, with the shorter neck on the guitar these happen to be 391:1 |
Question: | I see most of the esps are listed as "metal monstors" can this one be used for classic rock and blues? i'm just learning |
Answer: | We recommend a 1/4" Drill bit all the way through for the capstan (tuning post) and a 5/16" drill bit for a snug fit for the press-fit bushing. |
Question: | Can you pay monthly payments on guitars |
Answer: | I didn't take a tape to it but they are the standard 3/8 th. length. They fit, they work, and they hold up well, that's all that matter's. Amazon also has a return policy and you can contact the seller to find out exact dimensions. Sorry I could not have been better at anwsering your question. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why is the price $899 on my order but the guitar is listing for $1199 ...is there a difference |
Answer: | 3/8ths what... deep. ...wide??? |
Question: | I thought the 602 had the bone breaker pickups |
Answer: | The sound hole on my BC Rich guitar is 3 7/8". The diameter of the plug where it fits in the sound hole is 4". It is flexible enough that I can fit it into my guitar, but with extra effort. Note that my guitar has a brace under the fingerboard where it meets the sound hole, so I had to flatten that part of the rubber (at the top in the photo). Depending how close your guitar's top braces come to the sound hole edge, you may have to do the same if your sound hole is 3 7/8". |
Question: | Why is there such a difference in price between the black and purple versions |
Answer: | Probably a little - but the purpose of it is too reduce feedback when your acoustic/electric guitar is plugged in. |
Question: | Does this guitar come with a case? amzn product title: esp ltd kh-602 signature series kirk hammett electric guitar with case, black |
Answer: | We do recommend pre-drilling to help avoid twisting off the heads of the screws during installation, particularly when using a powered drill. We've found that a scratch awl with a fine or sharp point works well to make the initial mark and a 1/16" drill bit to pre-drill the holes. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the major diameter of the mushroom head? Is it 15mm (0.59 inches |
Answer: | I am sure that a Gator®️ gig bag designed to carry a bass will fit a 1964 Fender®️ jazz bass without any problem. |
Question: | if my guitar doesnt have a hook for the strap is this what i need |
Answer: | Hello, We have tested a Firebird in the Bass bag, we are sure it will not fit, properly, in the electric bag though. Because we cannot test every guitar on the market with every case we offer, we do always encourage our customers to measure their instruments and compare the dimensions to those of the case. This helps assure a fit. See below for GT-BASS-BLK dimensions. Body Length 23 " Body Height 3.5 " Lower Bout Width 14.75 " Middle Bout Width 12.5 " Upper Bout Width 13 " Overall Length 48.5 " If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. Thanks! |
Question: | what is the diameter of the screw? Thanks |
Answer: | Hello, The weight of this case is approx. 4.5lbs. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. Thanks! |
Question: | Is this the correct size strap button for a small ukulele |
Answer: | I tried my '62 Guild Starfire, and even after removing the supplemental head and heel cushioning, this particular case is neither wide or long enough for my hollow body, which I believe is comparable with your Electromatic. With padding in place as intended, it fits my Tele perfectly, and seems suited for standard solid body electrics. Definitely the best gig bag I've had, so you might just want to ask the folks at gaorcases.com what would work. |
