You may want to look for a chromatic clip on with a bigger display which would make it easier to see the half step you are looking for. That being said I use the tuner with a range of Ukuleles and guitars and it has performed well. I do alternate tuning with it but I have not tried half step.

Answer:	This tuner can be used for a banjo and it is a chromatic tuner therefore it you could use it to tune any string instrument. I don't really recommend these tuners as they are not as accurate as some of the other ones. I would spend a few more dollars and just get a more quality tuner like a snark

Answer:	The Flat/open button would be used when the mode button is in guitar (G displayed on front of tuner) mode. They set the tuner so your guitar can be tuned in an alternate tuning (Open G, Open D, Drop D, or Flat or double flat). Since an autoharp has open strings of all pitches, unlike the guitar, you would want the Chromatic (C) mode, where the flat/open key does nothing. The main advantage of this tuner over the Snark for me is that this one is a rechargeable battery, not replaceable.

Answer:	The depth is about the width of my thumb. It is plenty thick for a typical small book of sheet music (I have several drum music books and they all fit perfectly fine. If you have a catalog type book (think church hymnal) then you will likely have problems, but revert sheet music book that I have ever dealt with in the past (and I used to sing before getting in to drumming) will be fine. An added little nice surprise that I liked when I unpacked this, was that the "shelf" where you set the sheet music has some adjustable arms that will secure the pages in place until you actually turn them - by adjustable, you can leave them towards the bottom of the base, or put them right smack dab in the middle of the page, if you wish to. Answer:	Depending how you tilt the stand, I measured the bottom to be at 49" (top at 61") when tilted flat against the stand pole. Tall enough for my husband who is 6'2".

Answer:	Well, yeah, it could, but I wouldn't recommend it. Here's why. It's sturdy enough for sheet music, but it is no where near as rigid as the little scooter carts they make for keyboards and laptops, besides, even in the lowest position it would be a bit high for good typing ergonomics. Also, the ledge that holds the music would interfere with your wrists while you were typing, and if you turned it around "backwards" to avoid that, you would be placing a much heavier load on the hinge joint between the floor stand and the flat panel. If you needed it for this in a pinch, it would work, but for a long term solution, I'd recommend you try something else.

Answer:	While no expert, I believe you’ll have to use the “C” or chromatic to tune a bass. I could fine no B for bass as I clicked through the mode options.

Answer:	The clip opens up to a little more than half an inch.... 0.5”, which is not wide enough for the 1.375” you need for your autoharp. You could McGuyver a system... for instance, install a small C-clamp, snug, but not tight enough to mar or damage your harp, then clip the tuner on the C-clamp to do the tuning. The vibrations should carry through enough to do the tuning. Use the smallest C-clamp you can find... The more massive it is the more it will attenuate the vibrations. Be sure the clamp pads are smooth, you may want to put a piece of masking tape on the clamp pads to act as a cushion. To prevent marring the finish. Good luck! There are plenty of strings to tune on an autoharp!

Answer:	it can be raised to be almost straight up and down, but I also own the Manhasset Model #48 (standard) music stand, and it is better in this regard, as it can be adjusted to be perfectly perpendicular, although it's not as wide. If you need the extra width of this stand, but need it to be perpendicular, I'd recommend the model #48 with Manhasset M91 stand out extensions, which is exactly the set-up I have. In fact, with the stand outs, the total width can be up to around 36", rather than the 32" of the 5101. I hope you get the right stand for your needs, whichever one you choose.
