Answer:	Yes, just be sure that it is locked. After a year or so, my seal sometimes leaks. Right after I pour my coffee in and twist the top on, I tip it upside down over the sink to see if it leaks. If it does, then I take off the top and put it back on again. That usually works and it stays sealed until I fill it again.

Answer:	The reason for the black smoke is coming from burning the candle way to long or the wick is to long. Clip your wick down to a half inch . B4 lighting the candle . These candles smell great. I used to burn yankee candles but they didn’t smell wAs getting weak . Or wldnt smell as good when I started buying them. 15 years ago .

This should take 2-3 hours depending on the temperature in your room. Allowing the candle to liquify across the top during subsequent burns will optimize the performance and beauty of the candles.
