| Answer: | We had the same problem with the crossrock case. We ended up having to change cases because the trumpet was moving around. It ended up bending the bell over time. The student trumpet I just bought fits well and is a harder finish so we haven't had a problem with it. So, I guess it depends on the horn. |

| Answer: | It’s slightly smaller but Very short compared to full size trumpet. With some patience you can find some mutes that will work. But, the Real problem with any of these low end horns is the valves- they “gall” very quickly, making horn useless unless you put very heavy valve springs in. Get one with good reviews on the valves, this Stagg did not. It’s a shame because it sounded surprisingly good for a little horn. |

| Answer: | Don't know, my best guess would be China. The weakness in this horn are the valves. I've had to stretch the valve springs twice now. It is also soft in the lower register and intonation is not as accurate as my full size horns, although that may be common with all compact horns. Having said that, it makes a great compact practice horn. I use a shilkie 22 mp, biggest mp I know of which makes this horn sound great, I would record with it. |

| Answer: | Robert, I don't know, seems like everything is made in China these days, but this horn seems to have little better fit and finish than most "low end" instruments. I absolutely love mine, it has a bigger sound than my other Chinese horn by far- think old Spanish "conquestidor" sound if that makes sense. But it's not as"heroic" sounding as my old Holton MF style horn. Please keep in mind I'm playing a schilke 24 mp, this thing is huge! But it makes ALL my horns sound great! Hope this helps. |
