User questions & answers
Question: | What is the difference between a 5c & 4c Yamaha mouthpiece |
Answer: | The inside bore on the 5C is larger than the 4C. The 4C is an ideal mouthpiece for a beginner player while you develope your embouchure. The 5C is typically ideal for an intermediate and advanced player. |
Question: | Does this come with a reed |
Answer: | No it does not come with a reed, ligature, or a cap. It is just the mouthpiece and the box. A good tip for the future would also be that if you get a free reed with something it likely isn't going to be very good, unless it is name band. |
Question: | Comes with ligature |
Answer: | It does not come with a ligature. I don't recommend ordering Yamaha's ligature for this, especially online. |
Question: | Will this fit on a Glory alto sax |
Answer: | I do not own a Glory alto but I do own (or have owned) a total of four alto Saxophones. The necks are standard fit. That being said, the mouthpiece fits over a piece of cork. The thickness of the cork can be different from neck to neck and the cork will wear over time. It is easily replaceable and inexpensive to have a professional do. If it does not fit right out of the box, but it should, it is an easy and cheap fix. To extend the life of the cork, be sure to use cork grease regularly. |
