14 best esp electric guitar strings

ESP, a well-known guitar manufacturer, produces a range of electric guitar strings tailored for solid-body electric guitars. These strings are an essential component of any electric guitar, contributing to the overall tone, sustain, and playability of the instrument.

ESP electric guitar strings are typically made of various materials, including nickel-plated steel, stainless steel, or other alloys. The choice of materials affects the tone and longevity of the strings. Nickel-plated steel strings are a common choice for their balanced tone, durability, and corrosion resistance.

ESP likely offers a variety of string gauges to accommodate different playing styles and preferences. Lighter gauge strings provide easier playability and are well-suited for bending and lead playing, while heavier gauge strings offer a thicker tone and better sustain, ideal for rhythm playing and achieving a fuller sound.

Regular maintenance and changing of guitar strings are important to maintain optimal tone and playability. ESP electric guitar strings, like those from other reputable manufacturers, should be changed regularly to keep the instrument sounding its best.

In summary, ESP produces a range of electric guitar strings designed for solid-body electric guitars, using materials like nickel-plated steel to achieve a balanced tone and durability. These strings come in various gauges to accommodate different playing styles and preferences. User questions & answers

Question: Best through an electric guitar amp or acoustic amp
Answer: sounds great through both, But if you want it for Acoustic, Stick with an Acoustic amp.
Question: Work without amplifier?, that is to say, something like "acoustic mode
Answer: For practice session, works great acoustically. In a small setting, I think it's loud enough. But for a stage or large room, I would not recommend it unless you amp it.
Question: Is the preamp the tl-3 or tl-6 on the steel string natural
Answer: The preamp on my nylon strings guitar is tl-3.
Question: Does it actually sounds like an acustic when unplugged
Answer: Doesn't really sound very impressive when unplugged, but you can hear yourself well enough that it's useful for quiet practice. The TL-12 is designed to sound great when it's plugged in to an amp, PA, or recording rig. Thin body means it's easy to handle when performing, especially if you're singing too.

ESP LTD TL-6N Thinline-6 Nylon Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Natural Gloss

Your ESP LTD TL-6N Thinline-6 nylon-string classical acoustic-electric guitar boasts an irresistibly alluring resonance and distinct style, closing the gap between classical and electric guitars. A resonant maple-topped mahogany body gives off a bright sound with just enough depth to achieve a well-balanced output, and a crystal-clear B-Band Electret film transducer with active electronics pumps your playing through a B-Band T-7 preamp, complete with three-band EQ control, onboard tuner, master volume control, and phase switch. Part of ESP's TL series, the TL-6N boasts a sturdy mahogany neck topped with a smooth rosewood fingerboard spanning 22 jumbo frets.

Founded in 1996, ESP's LTD brand helped bring the quality and prestige of ESP to a more affordable price in order to accommodate all players. A wide range of LTD models are made to cover everyone from beginning players to serious working musicians. With numerous different model families to choose from, we are sure there is an LTD guitar perfect for you!

Unique F Hole

Take this classical acoustic electric for a spin and hear how much resonance each string achieves. That's due to the acoustic resonant chamber built from maple and mahogany. Maple brings in a rounded brightness to each note, while mahogany keeps things nice and warm, pushing those low and middle frequencies. This instrument boasts a somewhat atypical design for a classical guitar, with its narrow soundhole to the side rather than right under the strings -- a style that'll make you stand out visually as well as tonally from the crowd.

Rosewood w/ Graphtech Nubone XB Saddle

Your ESP LTD TL-6N Thinline classical acoustic electric guitar was designed to play just as silky as it sounds. Its Graphtech NuBone-XB nut and saddle primes each note and chord to maintain lasting intonation, lingering sustain, and overall articulate projection as your fingers make their way across the fingerboard. At the intersection of design between acoustic, electric, and classical guitars, this beauty allows you to apply techniques based in electric playing to a classical acoustic style.

Fishman TL-3 Preamp w/ Onboard Tuner

A B-Band Electret film transducer with active electronics captures the colorful dynamics of each string and fires it through a B-Band T-7 preamp to forge a signal eager to hit your amplifier or PA system. An easy-to-read onboard tuner features a colored display screen that turns from blue to green when the string is in tune -- so it's easy to get tuned up fast in low lighting settings. You also have a phase switch, a master volume control, and three-band EQ control at your fingertips to tweak your output.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this guitar good to play or more for display
Answer: My husband loves playing it . Works amazingly
Question: Is it possibe to ensure the snakebyte in snow white that i purchase is from korea and not indonesia
Answer: E-mail the vendor. Probably Indonesian with a cheaper black nut that's kind of sharp (can be smoothed).
Question: Is this an ESP factory B-Stock guitar
Answer: No. It's an LTD made by ESP. It's a d@mn good guitar. The HetSet that's in this beast is almost a $300 value by itself. And the Hardcastle it comes with is a quality case, not some cheesy gig bag.
Question: Is this brand new (never been played)? Also, how fast is the shipping
Answer: Yes, our offer is for a brand new product that has never been played. We ship within 24 hours and the shipping time would depend on where you live. Shipping time to CA is 6 days and 3-4 days to most other places. Thanks!

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with a soft carrying case
Answer: Mine did not come with a case. I am currently using a base guitar case to take it out. It does not fit in my other electric guitar case.
Question: How long does this take to ship if I ordered with prime
Answer: Typical Prime Shipping.
Question: Is this guitar suitable for anything but metal, as-is? I like goth, shoegaze, and some sludge metal
Answer: Baritone guitar was originally designed for country music and surf music. It just added more depth to the sound having mastered octaves within the group. Think if a baritone guitar this way; it’s basically playing a seven string without the seventh string. Same basic tuning and range. It just has a longer scale allowing for it to tune to B standard instead of E standard. To me it sounds gorgeous clean and even better distorted. It’s PERFECT for sludge and shoe gaze. In fact most recordings you hear where the band is tuned lower it was most likely a baritone guitar used to make that recording. If you try to tune to the B or Dropped A race on a standard 24.75-25.5” scale guitar you’re going to have to use crazy heavy strings so it doesn’t sound flubby and then you’ll most likely run into intonation problems as well as having to slit the nut for tuning stability. A baritone guitar (26.5” scale and above ) is ALWAYS preferable to down tuning a standard guitar just because the sound and stability are far far superior
Question: baritone guitar"??? I have been playing for over 40 years and never heard of a baratone guitar. What does baratone imply
Answer: Baritone guitar was created in the 1950’s for country and surf music. Actually I believe the Fender bass VI came first and then was basically converted to a baritone guitar. Baritone guitar is a longer scale guitar beginning at 26.5” and your standard range to truly be a baritone is generally 27.7”. The longer scale allows for more string tension and is generally tuned in B standard. When it was created it was just to give a layered octave within the total band mix for more depth. Baritone guitar actually sounds extremely gorgeous both clean and dirty. Generally when you down tune below drop C on a standard guitar you have to exponentially go up on your string gauges to eliminate flubby tone and string tension. Then you have to slot the nut to accommodate the larger string gauge but you generally still have intonation issues because of the shorter scale on a standard guitar. So in essence a baritone guitar is a 7 string guitar without the 7th string. It’s the same low B tuning with superior playability, tone, and stability. It’s the unholy union of bass and guitar to create the Mecca of tuning low. When I say tuning low though don’t let it fool you. The sound is gorgeous and full. Nearly any and every recording you’ve ever heard with a lower tuned guitar was most likely made using a baritone guitar. It’s a must own for any studio

ESP LTD Gary Holt GH-600 Electric Guitar

Feel your fingers fly their fastest with the ESP LTD Gary Holt GH-600 electric guitar. Before teaming up with Slayer, Holt made his name in the thrash band Exodus for 30 years. This signature axe brings Holt's force to your hands in thrash metal style, featuring a powerful and sleek EMG 89R and EMG 81R Red pickup pairing, a sturdy yet comfortable mahogany neck, a smooth and lightning-fast ebony fingerboard, and a flexible Floyd Rose bridge.

Floyd Rose Bridge Pushing the Limit

A Floyd Rose tremolo bridge holds your strings down securely, while leaving enough flexibility to offer greater sustain and room for string bending and dive bombs. This bridge is a treat for the shredding guitarist. After you get your strings in tune, lock them down at the nut, and you can go on shredding for weeks without having to worry about losing any intonation.

Lightning-Fast Mahogany Neck

The mahogany neck on your Gary Holt GH-600 electric guitar features a comfortable Thin U contour for your hand to traverse with ease. 22 XJ frets span over a smooth ebony fingerboard which boasts a cool red binding and super tight action. This neck is a perfect playground for your fingers to push themselves to the limit and see just how fast each note can fly from the fretboard to your amplifier.

Pair of Red EMG Pickups

That wall-of-sound EMG pickup pairing is tough to beat. These active humbuckers will fuel your signal with a powerful metal tone that pierces through the air. The EMG 89R at the neck forges a slightly warmer output with plenty of body, while the EMG 81R at the bridge features that aggressive and powerful EMG sound heard from many different guitarists in the metal and thrash scene. Play around with your pickup settings and dual volume controls to hear the huge dynamic reach these two pickups can deliver on demand.

Question: Does it come with a case
Answer: Yes, it does!
Question: Does the white turn yellow over time? Does the black satin get glossy spots from playing? Trying to decide between the two
Answer: I believe the white is polyurethane and that it does not change color. I haven't noticed the black satin getting glossy.

ESP LTD James Hetfield Snakebyte Electric Guitar, Satin Black

ESP LTD's James Hetfield Snakebyte electric guitar may carry the Metallica frontman's name and signature pickups, but with its set-neck construction and locking tuners, it's got features to please just about anyone with a wild and heavy playing style.

Hetfield-Designed Pickups Roar

Players on a mission to nail those heavy Metallica rhythm guitar sounds will appreciate the pickups loaded in the Snakebyte. The EMG JH 'Het Set' pickups were designed in collaboration with Hetfield himself, to evoke the EMG pickups he's used for the past 30 years. The neck pickup includes ceramic poles and bobbins, while the bridge pickup uses steel pole pieces. The results for both are higher-output and fuller in the low end than the EMG 60/81 combo Hetfield previously used.

Custom Snakebyte Marker

The mahogany neck is set into the body for improved sustain, and is cut in a thin-U neck contour for speedy play. The 22 extra-jumbo fret ebony fretboard features a custom Snakebyte marker centered around the 12th fret.

Thrash Away While Staying in Tune

To ensure the Snakebyte was ready for wild and aggressive players, ESP outfitted the guitar with high-end features like Sperzel locking tuners, and a TonePros locking Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece. Though the hardtail bridge does not offer whammy bar potential, the locking bridge and tuners mean you can beat down on the low strings or make wide bends on the high strings without worrying about unintentional detuning.
