  4. Epiphone Firebird: The Firebird series is known for its offset body shape and unique design. It offers a distinctive alternative to more traditional solid body guitars.

  5. Epiphone Casino: While primarily known for their solid body guitars, Epiphone also offers semi-hollow and hollow-body models like the Casino. These guitars are popular for their warm and resonant tones, making them suitable for various styles, including jazz and blues.

Epiphone guitars are often praised for their affordability and value for money. They are suitable for beginners, intermediate players, and even professional musicians on a budget. Many Epiphone models feature pickups and hardware that closely resemble those found on Gibson guitars, providing players with a similar playing experience at a lower price point.

User questions & answers

Question: What's the diference about this one and the $259 Epiphone
Answer: Probably the size and quality of the amp. Double check, but I think the $259 version has a 15 watt amp.
Question: Will this work with the rocksmith 2014 cable
Answer: Yes, works perfectly.
Question: does come with the big box like in the photo
Answer: Yes, it all comes in the big box in the photo
Question: Is the guitar in this package the same as "Epiphone LP Special II Les Paul Electric Guitar" which retails for $169 right here on amazon
Answer: Yes, and this is a very good deal here, but currently there is an even better one somewhere else. I'm sure this won't last forever since the membership stores change inventory frequently, but currently one of the big box membership stores has this bundle for $199.99 with free shipping, but almost shockingly, it includes over 50 dollars worth of additional items including a 9 dollar set of extra strings, a 13 dollar guitar stand, a 6 dollar chord finder book, and a 25 dollar set of headphones with 3.5 and 6.5 mm plug adapter.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this guitar have a pickup built in
Answer: No built in pickup on this model.
Question: what is the country of origin
Answer: China
Question: What does it mean by jumbo? Is it wider than a normal guitar
Answer: The term 'Jumbo' usually refers to a particular guitar body style. This Epiphone FT-100 guitar would be considered to have a 'dreadnaught' body style. I have no idea why it's listed as 'Jumbo'. Jumbo style guitars have a bigger, slightly deeper body compared to dreadnaughts, with a bit narrower waist and, due to these characteristics, are a bit louder, and with more bass.
Question: Can anybody explain me why the bridge is not parallel to the nut. imho that can never be tuned right
Answer: This is a very basic explanation. On most acoustic guitars (in fact, none that I'm aware of), individual string intonation cannot be adjusted. Intonation is the accuracy of the fretted tones along the length of the fingerboard. If the bridge were positioned parallel to the nut, one string's intonation would be correct (hopefully) and the remaining strings would fret slightly sharp or flat, and getting progressively worse as you fret higher up the neck. Hope this helps.

Epiphone SG Special with Chrome Hardware and KillPot, Ebony

Epiphone

Based on 155 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Now you can enjoy the classic style and killer performance of the famous Epiphone SG-Special Electric Guitar without destroying your budget. Features include two open-coil humbuckers, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece for more sustain and easier string changing, chrome hardware, and rosewood fingerboard. Limited lifetime warranty.

Now everyone can own a real SG shape! The SG Special from Epiphone features twin open-coil Humbucker pickups, the Tune-o-matic bridge/Stopbar tailpiece combo for maximum sustain and a fully-carved SG body for devilish good looks.

Devilish good looks.

Twin open-coil humbuckers and the industry-standard Tune-O-Matic bridge.

Rosewood fretboard with dot inlays.

Angled Headstock

Unlike cheaper designs, all Epiphones feature a 14-degree headstock that gives you more pressure at the nut and so you get more sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by "string-tree" gadgets.

Double-Waxed Pickups

Epiphone utilizes a double vacuum waxing process that ensures optimum performance. The pickup is first placed in the specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is put in place to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax.

Output Jack

To increase reliability and ensure consistent performance, Epiphone's proprietary output jacks feature an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel.

Toggle Switches

All Epiphones feature our all-metal, USA designed switches for reliable contact and longer life.

Tunomatic Bridge

Fully adjustable, the tunomatic remains a classic after over 50 years. Unlike guitars fitted with tremolos, there are no tuning or re-stringing difficulties. Plus, tone and sustain are improved because all string vibrations are transferred directly to the guitar.

Potentiometers

Epiphone is passionate about performance. That's why their instruments use one-inch diameter potentiometers for better "throw," longer life and reliable service.

Quick-Connectors

For unequalled reliability as well as ease of service, Epiphone wiring harnesses feature quick-connectors.

Answer: The Deusenberg Les Trem II replaces the stop bar and works very well. It comes with the appropriate metric studs and costs around $100.
Question: How does this compare to epiphone les paul special ii

The LP has a thicker depth, single cutaway, and is somewhat heavier, and the SG has a double cutaway thin body, that is lighter in weight, with better fret access. The tone is similar, due to the double coil, or "humbucker" pickups.

  • This Outfit also comes with a Custom Gig bag with a Snake pit logo and Slash Signature Dunlop To text picks. Epiphone also offers the award winning E-media online lessons and a guitar strap and cord.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the binding real or painted on
Answer: As far as I know it is real, AA Flame Maple top with a cherry Mahogany back. and a AAA MAPLE TOP, I got the kit two years ago great deal but the cord was crappy, called GUITAR CENTER and they sent me a real nice corded one for nothing, so if you have problems with it squelching, and cutting out it is more than likely the cord.
Question: Looking at the price I think I know the answer but it says that it has a e-tune on the guitar is it the unit behind the tuners or does it make a sound
Answer: The Epiphone Slash AFD is a guitar built in tuner. The tuner is installed in one of the picks. The tuner has the notes A, B, C D, E, F, G.You turn on the tuner and begin to play a string. With lights, the tuner will indicate you if the string is in tuned. I red light means the note is to low, the yellow light means it is too high. The green light means the string is in tuned. The tuner doesn't produce any sound. The player will tune the guitar with the tuner and its lights. Here you have a video that explains in more detail what I am trying to sayhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fq6J6ufH9uk
Question: It plays through the amplifier when the toggle is in the "Treble" position, but not in the middle or "Rhythm" position. Any idea why
Answer: I never had this problem, but I would think it sounds like the Toggle switch may be bad. If you live in a city with a Guitar Center, or if you live where you bought it, take it back in so they can check it out. Possibly cord but I would be more inclined to think it is your Toggle Switch. hope this helped.
Question: Is this pick up as same as duncan's alnico ii pro aph
Answer: The pick-up in this guitar is a ceramic magnet humbucker that was based off of the alnico II's design, its similar, but definitely not the same
