I'd recommend that you go to a regular guitar store and try several out before making your decision, so you have some benchmarks to help you decide. There are 3/4 sized guitars which sound pretty decent for beginners, and also there are cutaways and double cutaways (Yamaha for example) with thinner bodies that make it easier for a child or small adult to learn. Also ask about the "scale" of the guitar. Regular scale is 25.5 inches, but slightly shorter guitars will be easier for children and small adults to play. I recommend that you buy a brand name, as well. If the guitar is well-made, the person is more likely to stay with it and end up learning to play the guitar.

Answer:	The Bon Jovi guitar is a Takamine brand , They sell for $1300 , This guitar sells for $100 . I have played both , I prefer this one , because it sound fantastic , its lighter more and comfortable because it is a thin line , and I saved $1200 so I can buy lots of other toys. The black one looks like the Bon Jovi Takamine guitar. If anyone asked just say " yes was Bon Jovi's personal guitar," smilie face here.

Answer:	The strings are relatively close to the neck. I thought it would have a “cheap” sound to it, but once I put new strings on it really had a great sound.

Answer:	As new, the action is very high. The saddle is not slotted and the truss rod is in the "neutral" position. Having a professional Luthier "setup" will cost more than the guitar. The "eleven-five" through "fourty three-five" strings that come with the guitar are fine. The guitar comes with a truss tool. You can get a small set of jewellers files at a hardware store (or Amazon). Once you loosen the strings, use a dinner fork to pull the bridge pegs. Slowly, carefully slot the saddle using the strings as your guide. It's more art than science.

What does “Concert Size” actually mean?

Dating to around 1854 and the standard size around the time of the U.S. Civil War and for many years thereafter. Its bright, trebly sounding design gradually gave way to larger, more bass-heavy guitars, although the style has enjoyed a recent resurgence. General dimensions: 18" long, 4 1/4" deep, 10" upper body width, 13 1/2" lower body width.



Is there a difference in sound?

Generally speaking, deeper bodies add greater resonance and more resounding bass; shallower bodies have more projection and focus, with better bass-to-treble balance. The concert size is favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar.

Question:	Is it a left or right handed guitar
Answer:	Good Question! I looked in my original order history and it took me too this same listing with 16 reviews. Mine is Lefty, but it does not say in the description . A few of the reviewers mention lefty. The model number at the Fender Website does not specify. In amazon you can filter by left handedness and this listing will still remain . The pictures are RH guitar.! The part number does not cross reference to anthing as it is a combo-pack. Tough call! Possibly contact seller or buy guitar only, or be prepared to return it. My best guess at this point is 70% chance its Lefty.
