The other respondents are correct regarding a few things: - The mixers cannot provide power to mics that need phantom or plug-in power. - All inputs are 3.5 mm and professional mics generally use XLR or other plugs which will require adapters. However, computer mics all use 3.5 mm jacks, so if those are the kind of mics you have, these mixers will be ideal. - There is only one headphone output, but there are also Master and Line outputs. You can plug headphones into the headphone and master outputs, and the line output into the Macbook to record. There are two other Maker Hart mixers you can consider as well: Just Mixer 2 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071RZSGFR Just Mixer 5 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0721SBHVD The Just Mixer 2 and 5 also have USB Audio output, which you could use to pipe audio directly to your Macbook via USB. You may need a USB-C adapter (the cables provided with the mixers are USB-A). Note that neither of these mixers have a Line Out, so to connect two headphones and the Macbook you would have to use the USB audio out function. As far as Serato DJ pro, Roland was offering a free upgrade to the pro software when I purchased the controller. All you needed to do was create an account on their site, Serato.com, and download the software using the included information.

Answer:	Yes, it does.

Answer:	It comes with a code so you can download Ableton Live Lite from the Ableton website for free.
Question:	Does the unit com with Rack Ears
Answer:	Not directly, because this mixer is not designed as a general purpose mixer. It's designed around consolidating and controlling electronic instruments. As such, it expects all the 1/4" inputs to provide a "line level" signal. Microphones provide a much lower signal level, which means they do not have enough signal strength for the mixer to "notice" it. A microphone will need a preamp to bring it to line level. (Additionally, condenser mics will need the preamp to provide phantom power.) The preamp's output can then be connected to the Roland MX-1 and you could then expect it to handle the microphone as any other input.
Question:	The roland website says the it's windows drivers support up to 8. Do the asio drivers function well on windows
Answer:	I can’t answer that, but I can say that you are correct. This is not a synth but a mixer with built in features that make it more performance oriented than a standard mixer. It is designed specifically to work with the other Roland Aira products through usb midi and audio connections. TableTop Mixer yes. A Tabletop synth, not at all.

Answer:	The LE version of Sonar x1 is a stripped down version of the full version of Sonar. It limits you in many ways i.e limiting your session to 24/96. it basically there to get your feet wet before you dive into the full version. You would set the OctaCapture to 24/96 sample rate and record like normal.

Answer:	Yes!! It can be used without a computer. You can control everything through the onboard screen. Works Perfectly as a small mixer/mic pre-amp for small performances. Connects easily to PA system or powered speakers for use as a PA in a crunch.
