This seems like a decent turntable, so I would suggest being sure of using a decent cartridge/stylus combination such as the Ortofon Red cartridge unless you can identify your present cartridge as similar or better quality than the Ortofon. | Answer: | you must place your cartridge needle down on, and in the line on the end. that is the scale your reading without doubling the reading. so you place the needle on the outer line, then when the scale reads up to its maximum scale reading of 1.5, it is then 1.5. now on my cartridge its supposed to be set to 1.8 grams, so i have to place my needle down on and in the inner most line and double the scale reading which then becomes a maximum reading of 3 grams. you must observe the level in the mirror reflection, when the two plastic sides are even. then your needle is set correctly to the desired weight. i hope this helps. |
