For further information about your turntable setup and instructions, suggest downloading the manual from Vinyl Engine website at: https://www.vinylengine.com/library/marantz/6100.shtml. This seems like a decent turntable, so I would suggest being sure of using a decent cartridge/stylus combination such as the Ortofon Red cartridge unless you can identify your present cartridge as similar or better quality than the Ortofon.
