Answer:	ABS is the same thing that LEGO's are made from and is a very hard thermoplastic when used in the proper temperature ranges. My daughter had to get a replacement as the keys that they use didn't adhere quite well to the unit itself but the second one seems to be holding up. Recommended for 2 -3 year middle school or maybe high school level, but if the student is anything like my daughter, at the frequency used, if you are looking for a one time through school purchase 5 years+ then this is not the one. :)

Answer:	For a beginner or child, yes it is good. However, when it breaks or wears out it will likely not be fixable. At that point, you would want a better quality clarinet anyway. Also, I know a clarinet player who just likes having a red clarinet for fun. Professional players will say these are junk, and that may be true, but they are not meant to be played by professionals.

Answer:	We have had no problems with ours. If we did, I would use "contact seller" I did this with a watch and that seller offered our choice of refund or replacement. Maybe that will work with this seller. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Ebonite is not plastic or wood. It is hard rubber which many professionals use because of its' excellent tonal properties. It doesn't crack or bend like the wooden clarinets sometimes do. My father played clarinet and sax for many years in various bands. He had an ebonite clarinet and he always liked it. They are much easier to care for than a wooden clarinet. I have three clarinets--two ebonites and one grenadite--I prefer the ebonite. I believe all the mouthpieces for sax and clarinet are made of ebonite. This clarinet is incredible for the price!!! You can't go wrong with this.

Question:	Is this made in the USA
Answer:	They are a very fragile, lightweight metal and not of high quality. They will bend easily and if you try to bend them back they will snap off. No music store will accept it for repair because the metal is so soft that it deteriorates when heated (which you have to do for a simple repair such as replacing a pad). Replacement parts simply aren't available and, as I said, no repair shop will even touch it.

Answer:	No , this clarinet's case doesn't have a strap, it only has a handle. Sort of like a briefcase handle , but it folds down slim to the case when not in use so it doesn't get in the way. Question:	The description is confusing, on the Eb model,how many barrels are included?This is important for tuning for two frequencies of your choice
Answer:	The Eb clarinet only came with one barrel. I had to buy a 40mm barrel on eBay to be more in tune. The one it came with required me to significantly pull out the barrel.

Answer:	I bought my Eb just for that reason. I haven't played it yet because of eye surgery, but it looks and feels well built and of decent quality materials. I did buy an upgraded mouthpiece locally. It came well packed with several cork wedges to protect it in travel. It comes in a nice case as well. I play bass and Bb clarinets with a concert band. I do not believe Eb would make a good beginner's instrument, they are harder to play than a Bb. I hope to have some fun with it so. Thought it would be great for practicing when traveling. I believe it is a good little instrument and will give me years of service if care for.

Answer:	"Ebonite" is another word for hard rubber, that same material that good mouthpieces are made from. It's a wonderful instrument material. "Ebonite wood" is a contradiction in terms and it's misleading. Some of these Chinese instruments are made of real ebonite and they sound really good. They give it a sanded texture to make it look wood-like. It looks good, but they should not call it wood.
