User questions & answers

Question: Can i purchase a u.k. power supply that will work for a hx stomp purchased in the us? if so, where
Answer: Don't know, but ask the folks at Line6.
Question: hola hacen envios a la Argentina o colombia? desde ya muchas gracias
Answer: Hi, international shipping depends on where you buy the product. If you see "FULFILLMENT BY AMAZON" [https://prnt.sc/p8r39n] that means Amazon handles the shipping, and most of the time offers international shipping. Please contact Amazon Customer Support at 1 (888) 280-4331 (USA/Canada calls) or 1 (206) 922-0880 (international calls) for shipping inquiries.
Question: Is there a way to conncet a microphone to this
Answer: You can connect a microphone using a 1/4" connection, however it may not give you the proper amount of volume. May be easier to connect to a pre-amp first, before running to the HX Stomp.
Question: Could someone be totally honest and tell me if there are any usable tones with this unit out of the box
Answer: Not too many; but... you can create any tone (patches) with any combination up to 6 effects in the chain with very detailed settings using the HX Edit software, not only with effects, you also can use several Amps with your own IRs or if you prefer one of the Cabs availables. And if you have your own analog pedals, you can also add them using the FX Loops

Line 6

Based on 89 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The DL4 Delay Modeler offers you an incredible array of sounds, from a tube driven, tape loop echo (complete with adjustable wow and flutter), through 24 bit squeaky clean digital echo, to real-time reverse delay. Not only that, but you've got complete programmable control over all aspects of the sound in the studio and on the stage. Incredibly simple to use, it's an amazingly powerful tool offering you delay effects never before available in a single box. The DL4's digital modeling based on 15 of those vintage delay and echo effects you've always yearned for, and the Loop Sampler includes 14 seconds of memory + 800ms of Pre-delay (sort of a delay within a delay), and features half speed and/or reverse overdubbing, and more...

  • 3 programmable presets and on-board Tap Tempo
  • True Bypass switching, so your direct tone is exactly that; direct from your guitar to your amp
  • Expression Pedal Input - for real time control of all effect settings. Effect Selector, Delay Time, Repeats, Tweak, Tweez, Mix
  • DL4 runs in discrete stereo, both inputs and outputs, so Left stays left and Right stays right. (Loop Sampler sums signal to mono)
  • Runs from batteries or optional power adapter.

User questions & answers

Question: how long can the loop function record for
Answer: Hi. That's 14 seconds in regular speed, or 28 seconds in half speed (it's one of the effects that the loop switch has).
Question: Is there an off switch on pedal? Or do you have to unplug to turn off the pedal's effects
Answer: There is no off switch on the unit. When the left/mono input is unplugged, your pedal is powered off. F. Beach was correct in saying "You do not have to unplug the pedal to turn off the effect. The 3 left most stomp switches will turn on or off a delay preset."
Question: Hello, the product is new and comes with box? What is the cost of shipping to Miami? Thanks
Answer: Hello, thanks for your interest! It does not come with the box but it is in pristine condition. I will also include the power adaptor which can be hard to track down.
Question: Does the looper function have the "decay" feature to let the sound gradually degrade as you play, creating an organic, evolving ambient jam
Answer: The looper feature has a delay option, but it does not change the actual loop itself.

User questions & answers

Question: Amazon shows the unit to be 17.36 lbs, making it heavier than the much larger pod hd 500x!!! is this unit truly 17.36 lbs
Answer: I own a Line 6 Pod Go, and it weighs just a little over 5 lbs. I have no idea where they’re getting that 17.36 lb weight from. Even packaged up in the box it doesn’t weight that much. It’s a great lightweight unit with a heavyweight sound!
Question: Does it come with a built-in metronome
Answer: No, it does not have a metronome.
Question: Can this be used to control perameters on a DAW
Answer: No, the Pod Go does not have hotkey features. For hotkeys, I suggest checking out the Helix, Helix LT, or Helix Rack(with Rack Control).
Question: Can you plug in a microphone for singing while playing
Answer: No, it does not have a mic input for a second channel. You may want to check out the Line 6 Helix for an additional mic input.

    User questions & answers

Question: Are the delays on this equivalent in quality to a boss digital delay(dd-7) pedal since they are both digital
Answer: They are the same quality as the dl4 which is older than the DD-7. The plain digital delays sound the same maybe a little less low end. I think Boss has the best dotted eighth notes but the M5 has some great recreations
Question: People say you can only use one effect at a time. Does that mean I can't be using a delay, chorus, and EQ at the same time
Answer: Exactly. You can only use one at a time. If you want to use more than one effect, you can buy the Line6 M9 or M13 - these can stack effects (e.g., a delay + chorus + eq). More info at Line6 website
    Question: comes with power adapter
Answer: Yes, it comes with the DC-1g power supply.
Question: Any one figure out a way to control the volume of this pedal for FX models that don't explicitly have a volume parameter
Answer: use gain or level or whatever parameter that is the same as how potent the effect is on the signal. Volume Gain Intensity and whatever else are PROPERTIES of a WAVE (IF YOU SHRINK THAT WAVE THE EFFECT IS MINIMIZED). Have you seen a SINGLE WAVE OSCILLATOR it looks like a TV with a round screen and shows one wave. I hope that helps.

Question: Are you able to Import/export loops from pc with this looper

Question: Is there a way to change patches on this board via midi control form an external midi device, i.e. a sequencer
Answer: The M9 will send and receive MIDI CC and Program Change messages on any MIDI Channel from 1 thru 16 or Omni, selectable from the MIDI screen in Setup mode. For more details, see the advanced manual at http://line6.com/support/manuals/m9.
Question: Can any 9v adapter work with this
Answer: Any 9v adapter that supplies 2000MA, I am selling one of these used and it comes with an adapter
Question: How do I do a factory reset? Sorry to ask here but I can’t find an answer online that works
Answer: Press FX Unit 1B and 2B switches at the same time to enter the setup menu. Press the Model Select knob until the display reads MIDI Gate Display across the top. Turn the Model Select knob until the corresponding display shows RST FACT. Press and hold the TAP button just before (split second) pressing the Model Select knob. Its like pressing them down at the same time, but making sure the TAP button is pressed first. Do that once again to reset the M9. Question: How would you compare this to the tc electronics nova system
Answer: This pedal doesn't really compare with the nova system. The sounds are comparable, the way the foot pedal works is completely different you get six independent effects you can turn on and off like a stomp box on the nova system. the TC electronics pedal and M9 pedal are comparable in build quality. personal preference on which one sounds better. TC electronics nova system is for the gigging musician and this one may work well for some but not for me. M9 has collected dust in the corner.I bring my nova system to pretty much every gig a play.
