Answer:	I would say that you might be able to plug into the FX Return of an amp and just use the power amp section. Otherwise, you would still need a clean power amp. I used to do that with my SansAmp BDDDI all the time.

Answer:	I don't think so. This pedal, amazing by the way, is an overdrive and gives you a good sustain but it's different than big muff's violin sound. The proposal and the sound are different because big muff is a fuzz pedal. It's architecture and circuits are different.

Answer:	If you have a recording interface, you should be able to just plug from the quarter inch out on the Joyo to the quarter inch in on the interface.If you are using the computers 3.5 millimeter input, just make sure you do trial run or two to set the Joyo's Level control so that it doesn't distort the pc input. You may also need adapters or cables to fit the actone and pc jacks in order use them together.

Answer:	Oh yeah, for bypassing the simulator you press on the switch and it turns the pedal off/on. you can use this as a preamp or a drive to get the AC flavour. The pedal itself isn't a cab simulator but more so copies the AC variety like a Drive pedal. The voice knob is the control for shaping the sound of the amp styles (inside the pedal) (I personally enjoy having the voice at 10o'clock.) I think this will do fine going into your chain and out to an amplifier. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I'm not sure on a technical level how much signal boost this pedal can provide, and I've seen nothing online either, but I've used it straight into a PA without a guitar amp (it's an amp simulator so that sounds pretty good) and it had more than enough signal to work with.

Answer:	The Plumes is basically a Tubescreamer with some options added (asymmetrical clipping, boost, symmetrical clipping). The EQ leans towards being bright and slightly scooped. I don't think Plumes is really fit for purpose for metal tones. In my humble opinion. Perhaps check out the EQD Tonejob plus a metal distortion pedal...

Answer:	I don't use batteries as I have a large board and use a power supply. I have tried over a dozen ODs, even boutique, and this pedal is the best. I get all the crunch gain from my Mesa, but a light OD on the clean channel is a must. You get 3 different tones with this one, and the price is stupid cheap. Their website does NOT mention battery power so I assume there is no room inside.

Answer:	I think this is supposed to be a tube-screamer type pedal. Mine didn’t sound anything like a TS9 or 808 regardless of the settings.

Answer:	You'll need at least two cables. One from the guitar to the pedal, and another one from the pedal to the amp. But, if the amp has an "Effects Loop" channel, he'll need a third cable to use it. (However, it is not necessary to use the channel, if it does have one.) Two 10' cables would cover most needs. Be sure to get "instrument" cables, and not "speaker" cables, as they can look identical. You'll want what's usually referred to as a "1/4in. Mono Phone Plug" on the ends of the cables.If you need more advice, just ask. It would help to know what kind/size of amp you want to get.

We also decided to keep the controls of the Acapulco Gold as simple as possible. The footswitch turns the pedal on and off, and the giant knob controls the output volume. That’s it. Big Knob

The big knob sets the output level, sometimes known as Volume. With your guitar’s volume all the way up, the Acapulco Gold roars like a wide-open Model T on the verge of explosion. At just-barely-backed-off, the Gold becomes a raunchy overdrive. At minimum guitar volume settings, the Acapulco Gold delivers a hazy, Nashville-sounding spank to your tone.
