Answer:	Yes on the battery. The pedal turns on and off with the foot switch. You dont have to remove the battery to turn it off. Unplug the input cord will also turn off the pedal. I use a multi tap adapter with mine as they are cheaper in the long run.
Question:	Does the pedal vary the fuzz or is it just on/off fuzz switch
Answer:	This is a direct clone of the Boss Hyper Fuzz, which in turn was a super-high-gain clone of something else (I lost track). The design is such that the pedal's gain control does very little, and the pedal does not clean up with the guitar's volume knob. Essentially, you get two fuzz sounds, plus EQ, as well as a very useful clean boost function. It puts serrations into your single-note lead lines, and extra power into power chords; and it can help create a titanic parallel bass tone. Anything more complicated than that, even major third intervals, will go to mush. That said, Boss Hyper Fuzz pedals are $250 and up on Reverb as of this writing, which is fool's money if you ask me, considering the limited range of the design. $25 is a better price, even if you find yourself only using the boost function and EQ most days.

Answer:	Most likely, unfortunately I couldn't use the one I bought because it doesn't work with Windows 10, and Behringer Customer Service was unable to provide a solution for that.

Answer:	I do know that a pre-amp would help boost recording volume and add effects, but I'm interested to know why your volume is so low. I didn't use a pre-amp for recording with this device and had no problem with input volume. I use reaper and have little experience with audacity, so I don't know if you are already maxing out your volume or not in audacity. I would make sure that your input volume in the software you are using isn't too low before spending money on a pre-amp. The whole point I bought this device is so I didn't have to spend a lot of money on a pre-amp in the first place.

Answer:	I would say that you might be able to plug into the FX Return of an amp and just use the power amp section. Otherwise, you would still need a clean power amp. I used to do that with my SansAmp BDDDI all the time.

Answer:	the LED should only flash until the tube is warmed up. Might want to try another tube. Did it keep flashing with the original tube?Bear in mined that I tried swapping a few tubes including NOS ones, and preferred the one it shipped with. YMMV...

Answer:	I don't think so. This pedal, amazing by the way, is an overdrive and gives you a good sustain but it's different than big muff's violin sound. The proposal and the sound are different because big muff is a fuzz pedal. It's architecture and circuits are different.

Answer:	Any overdrive pedal can be used to create an overdrive sound to a harmonica mic provided it's wired for a high impedance 1/4 phone jack. It should be noted that any mic used with overdrives or overdriven amps are more prone to feedback.

Answer:	the UM300 has plenty of distortion and does not need any more overdrive, like the Joyo. I think the UM300 is better than a Boss HM2 or their Metalzone. I see other complain about feed back, maybe try turning down the distortion or level. I run mine with distortion @ halfway up to 3 Oclock and my level @ half. On the adapter center pin is negative and d the outside is positive. It is a small plug in, but is what i'd consider standard for this device. Nice pedal for the $$$ IMO. I remember back n the day paying almost $200 for a Boss HM2, what a waste!

Answer:	Yes. But, it's a mono connection. So, you'll hear it in only one side of the headphones. Also, it sounds pretty terrible. This pedal, in particular, needs an equalizer in the chain - or in your Digital Audio Workstation if you plug it into your computer. Otherwise, the pedal sounds very 'tinny' with high treble - no matter how you set the tone control. ALL distortion pedals or overdrive pedals need an equalizer.

Answer:	Hi, no echo but has a delay and tremolo. I like the pedal because it also has a phaser, chorus, flanger and pitch shifter. Good pedal for the price.

Answer:	No, the knob goes in sequence from one effect to another. The effects are weak, chorus is OK. However I bought mine in Aug. and it died in Sept. 3 days after the 30 day Amazon return. It is warranted by Behringer for 3 years, but impossible to find a way to return or device.. Don't buy it. It is a $40. paperweight!

Question:	Would this be good for mettalica
Answer:	Absolutely not. In terms of metal, this is designed for old school buzzsaw death metal, like Entombed or Dismember. It's supposed to be extremely distorted and blaring. If you want a sense of what it sounds like, listen to Dismember's "Like An Everflowing Stream" or Black Breath's "Mother Abyss." I wouldn't recommend it for something like thrash metal. Also, if you have a guitar with a lot of twang (double pickups mainly), it's going to give more of a Creedence Clearwater Revival or Lynyrd Skynyrd southern-rock type of sound. If you're looking for a pedal that would work for thrash metal, I personally like the Danelectro D-3 Fab Metal Effects Pedal for a relatively cheap option (~$20). You can get a pretty good sound out of it if you fiddle with the settings on it and your amp's bass, mids, and trebles.

Answer:	You'll need at least two cables. One from the guitar to the pedal, and another one from the pedal to the amp. But, if the amp has an "Effects Loop" channel, he'll need a third cable to use it. (However, it is not necessary to use the channel, if it does have one.) Two 10' cables would cover most needs. Be sure to get "instrument" cables, and not "speaker" cables, as they can look identical. You'll want what's usually referred to as a "1/4in. Mono Phone Plug" on the ends of the cables.If you need more advice, just ask. It would help to know what kind/size of amp you want to get.

Answer:	Amazkn sells three different power supplies. You can use standard 9 volt alkaline batteries, rechargeable 9 volt batteries, an ac adapter, a daisy chain adapter, or an isolated power supply. I would suggest that you carefully consider each option. First, will this be your only pedal. Second, how often are you planning on using it. Third, how long do you plan on running it with each use?? If this is guaranteed to be your only pedal, you would be okay with a 9 volt battery or a 9 volt adapter. If you only plan to use the pedal for a few songs each use, a battery may be your best option. You may want to consider a rechargeable so you can have power that is renewable. For constant use, you may want to consider a 9 volt adapter. You don't want your battery to go dead on stage. If you plan on getting several pedals, you may want to consider a daisy chain. A daisy chain will allow several pedals to be linked to one nine volt adapter. If you are a performing musician, I would place serious consideration on an isolated power supply. I use one of these. An isolated power supply puts each pedal on a separate circuit. If something happens to a circuit for one pedal, the rest of your pedals will be unaffected. With a daisy chain, if one wite breaks, every pedal downstream loses power.my power sullpy has resettable breakers for each output.

Question:	Is this supposed to make an awful noise/hiss
Answer:	It's not "supposed to", but it is an inexpensive pedal from Behringer :). It does sound good for the price. Unless there is a defect in yours. I've had unusably noisy pedals before, but this isn't one of them. Could you get a quieter one? Sure! How much do you wanna spend? :)
Question:	I keep hearing that this pedal is not as good as the Boss OC-3. But it looks like a mere knock-off of that pedal. What makes it inferior then
Answer:	Boss is a quality product. Behringer is a cheap knock off and in this case doesnt even work. Too bad, I wish it did.
Question:	Would this work with a 4-string bass guitar and allow the Low E string to act like a 5-string Low B
Answer:	nope. I sent the bridge pickup of my Rickenbacker 4003 through it just to see what would happen and it just made it sound muddy. I works as advertised with a six string guitar. And it's dirt cheap. But it won't "octave" a bass very well.

Question:	I have an 80's fender tube amp that produces an obnoxious buzz with NO guitar plugged into it. Will this help if I add it via the effects loop
Answer:	Maybe...and maybe not. My 70 ' s Bass man and Deluxe reverb generate the usual tube amp hiss and a little 60 cycle hum if really cranked but nothing going like what you describe. Your noise could be coming from some shady capacitors or somewhere other than the output section where a noise gate can be helpful. I'd get my amp checked out first.
Question:	I am going to add this pedal at the end of my effects chain, before my compressor. Is that the right choice
Answer:	I put my noise gate after the tuner. No need to effect the noise till the end.

Answer:	To use this noise reducer with the overdrive and a compressor before the amp you will connect the aformentioned pedals to the noise reducer loop from the send output..so send from nr..to either com or od (whichever u choose first)then to next pedal then to the return of the nr then connect from the output of the nr to the input of your amp.Connect guitar to the input of the nr.So the od and com is in the nr's effects loop.
