  7. Versatility: Whether you play rock, metal, blues, or any other genre, Boss modeling amps can provide a wide range of tones to suit your playing style. This versatility is one of their most attractive features.

  8. Integration: Some Boss amps have features for connecting to recording equipment or integrating with other devices, allowing for seamless studio recording or live performance setups.

  10. Durability: Boss is known for its robust and reliable products, and their modeling amps are no exception. They are designed to withstand the rigors of touring and regular use.

Overall, Boss modeling amps are a popular choice for guitarists looking for a versatile and portable solution that can deliver a wide array of tones and effects. User questions & answers

Question: Would you say this is loud enough to play with a band
Answer: Plug into the wall 
Question: Is it worth the extra money for mkii
Answer: This depends on the venue. For karaoke at home or in a very small room with a small crowd, it may be okay, but for large rooms or big crowds, you may want to invest in a good PA system.
Question: What does the power setting do
Answer: Comes with an AC power cord but does not come with the cord that goes from guitar to the amp.
Question: whats the differance between the 50 and the 50 mkII
Answer: Yes absolutely. It does have one speaker and makes plenty of sound for such a small amp. I use it for both my keyboard and acoustic/electric guitar... It has a standard input jack. You can also plug in a mic or headphones. It's very well made and lives up to Fender's quality. Good Luck, hope this helps!

THE EVOLUTION OF A MODERN CLASSIC

Katana MkII takes the acclaimed Katana guitar amp series to the next level, turbocharging the core platform with more sounds, more effects, and more features. Newly voiced variations are now available for all five amp characters, doubling the tonal options. And the onboard effects categories have been expanded from three to five, providing even more real-time processing to choose from. The usability has been ramped up too, with a power amp input for modelers and multi-FX, updated editor software, and many other enhancements.

More Sounds, More Versatility

The stage-class Katana MkII lineup picks up where the first generation left off, building on the same core tones and features that have made the series such a worldwide smash. If you loved the original Katana amps, you'll love Katana MkII even more. And if you're new to the party, get ready for sound, feel, and versatility that soars far beyond its class.

Five Amp Characters, Ten Overall Tones

Katana MkII's five primary amp characters offer everything from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain sounds, plus a dedicated voice optimized for acoustic-electric guitar. The characters have now been extended with newly voiced variations, providing a wider palette of tone options to craft your personal sound.

Five Effects At Once

Katana MkII now includes five simultaneous effects categories, putting the tone-shaping power of a massive pedalboard right inside your amp. Independent Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections come loaded from the factory with three variations in each, providing 15 ready-to-play effects to choose from. Connecting to BOSS Tone Studio lets you dive much deeper if you want—customize the sections with over 60 different effect types, change the order with four different chains, and much more.

Full-Throttle Sound Every Time You Plug In

Backed by BOSS's Tube Logic approach, Katana MkII delivers the authentic output distortion characteristics of genuine tube amplifiers, with the sound and feel becoming richer and more responsive as you turn up the volume. But unlike that classic tube amp, Katana MkII's variable Power Control makes it easy to fly in the sweet spot without getting fired from the gig or kicked out of the house. Just throttle back the overall volume as needed to enjoy inspiring, cranked-amp sound anywhere you play, from bedroom to stage.

Amplify Your External Gear

The Katana-50 MkII rocks as a standalone amp, but it also excels as a powered cabinet for a favorite preamp, modeler, or multi-effects unit. Connecting to the rear-panel Power Amp In jack bypasses Katana MkII's preamp and effects, letting you tap straight into the Tube Logic power section, complete with grab-and-go Power Control. And with BOSS Tone Studio, the input can be easily optimized for your particular gear with a high-pass filter and adjustable gain.

One-Touch Recall Of Custom Setups

One of the Katana-50 MkII's most powerful features is the ability to store favorite amp character and effects setups in Tone Setting memories for instant recall. After you've dialed in a sound with the panel controls, simply save it to the desired memory with a quick button hold. Four Tone Settings (two banks of two) are available, with fast selection right from the panel. It's also possible to connect external footswitches for hands-free control on the gig.

Ready-To-Mix Direct Tones

The Katana-50 MkII features USB and phones/recording outputs with mic'd cabinet emulation, letting you send mix-ready amp tones to a computer DAW or headphones. The direct sound can be shaped with three different Air Feel settings, which are accessible from BOSS Tone Studio. Two-channel USB operation is supported, allowing you to track in true stereo with many of Katana's modulation, EQ, delay, and reverb effects.

BOSS Tone Studio Enhancements

BOSS Tone Studio has also evolved alongside the Katana MkII amplifiers. The interface has been updated with a refreshed look, and a number of parameters have been consolidated into the main screen for faster workflow. There's also a dedicated Pedal FX category, making it easier to assign wah and pedal bend effects to a connected expression pedal. And if you're a first-gen Katana owner, it's possible to import your custom patches and use them all with Katana MkII.

User questions & answers

Question: can i record through garage band
Answer: honestly I've never separated the cabs I Velcro'd it stacked so its like a full stack, lemme go check THEN...................................... OK checked, heres the lo Down.. the chorus is in full stereo meaning it echos in both right and left speakers however its simultaneous and does not PAN left and right like an echoplex or true stereo echo that I could tell? you'll laugh anyways at the chord that comes with the 103, its like 24 inches long.. WHY? its phone plugs so EASY to find old home style phone cables, dunno your age maybe you've never seen one? yea int he day we had our phones connected to a wall outlet with a cable, its like a small like cat5 (rj45 is the standard name) you've seen cat5 its what your computer hooks up to the Ethernet with..all in all its WELL worth it its a GREAT little amp specially with the full stack setup, the echo works FANTASTIC and quite frankly I wish I had one that worked that well on my bigger stuff despite the non stereo panning, I have a Johnson Two Fifty and a Digitech GSP 2101 studio tube for all that stuff, yea man get a Johnson 150 250 or the digitech GSP 2101 if you want true stereo panning, WOW, I work it in QUAD and can dial it in however I like cuz its FULLY programmable with algorithms!!!tell you what tho I have mic's this little Blackstar and IT ROCKS!!! yup, if you have a board that does stereo panning then there ya go! crank n go, funny what I like to do is plug my acoustic into it then mic the Blackstar through the PA and recording or playing live that way SUCH A NICE CRISP CLEAN SOUND because yo don't have all that power in the way stepping on its own dork soaking up all the interference if ya know what I mean, try it you will be totally surprised, typing in this minuscule dialogue box is difficult at best, why so small Amazon?its a great little box (fact I tried em all cept the orange that I'm told is compatable and it smokes them ALL)not sure what you need it to do but for whatever the hunnerd for both is a FANTASTIC deal considering what it can do and the sound that can come out of it... distortion works well too, I love the little thing i use it at the park then in my bedroom so the neighbors can sleep and I don't have to pay finesfor an electric I use a nice 61 Strat that has some really really hot hand wound Gepettos then those run into a FULL Clapton mid boost, the works, yup so that lil boost in signal really makes that Blackstar a beast in its own rights..all in all I give it 10 stars with the other speaker
Question: it has a footswitch jack, can you go from a clean sound hit the switch and go into over drive for a solo
Answer: Blackstar has their own power supply specifically for this. Amazon sells it on it's own for around $20, and I believe when you buy the 3 pack, the Blackstar power supply comes with it. I can't say for sure, as I bought just the single unit. Save yourself the trouble and buy the 3-pack - the amp on it's own is incredible, and the stack is well worth the price. Just make sure it comes with the proprietary Blackstar power supply.
Question: Does Fuse work with this amp
Answer: absolutely not ! The fly 3 runs on 6volts /positive tip . When you buy the fly on amazon, the planet waves adaptor is suggested . My friend bought the fly to his son and pluged it on a 9 volts adapter...... he blew the amp . You may pay a little more but buy the right adapter, it works well and saves batteries
Question: What is in the box
Answer: Yes, for the extension cabinet, which expands this from 3w to 6w. The 3-pack is a good deal, because a) you get better volume but mainly because b) it includes the power supply, which means that c) the extension cabinet is virtually free.

User questions & answers

Question: Does anyone know if a standard 9v power supply (like what you'd use for pedals) will safely power this amp
Answer: Hi, it will take the Roland/Boss PSA-120s standard power supply (9-volt, 500mA, the same one you use for all Boss pedals.) Please let us know if you have any other questions! Thank you, The Midi Store Team
Question: How many watts? Thanks
Answer: 7
Question: If you plug in headphones, does it mute the speaker? Can both the speaker and the rec out sound simultaneously
Answer: No, once you plug in headphones, the external speakers are muted.
Question: So this thing doesn't come with a basic AC adapter
Answer: It doesn't, but batteries last a long time, I find. Also, you can power it with a pretty common adapter, if you have one for other effects pedals it will probably work.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it have a built-in guitar tuner
Answer: There is only one input so you can play or sing but not both. there is only one input so you can play or sing but not both. I suggest you try before you buy. Although it claims to be 75 W the truth is I would rated at 10 W. The line 6 spyder jam is around the same price but has many more features and can crank much louder, with the spider jam there is a guitar input as well as a bass, auxiliary and microphone input with trim. I suggest you try before you buy.
Question: What is the difference between katana air and katana head
Answer: If you are talking about an acoustical guitar with a built-in preamp, then Yes. I have a Takamine Natural series with a CT4B II preamp, and it works great with the Amplifi 150. The amplifi now has the capability to record on an idevice with applicable apps.
Question: can I plug a powerbank into the USB input to power the unit
Answer: The amp has 4 pre-set tones (standard, gain, etc.) that can be overwritten at any time and replaced by 4 of your favorite tones so the answer to your question is no, the amp is NOT useless if you don't have your Apple device. Hope this helps... I love the amp myself.
Question: Will this work with my Charvel Ds2? It has active pickups
Answer: This model weighs under 22 pounds. The bigger model Line 6 Amplifi 150 weighs under 37 pounds. There is an "unboxing" video of this model on the tube site, and it lifts very easily.

Question: Is it loud enough to play gigs
Answer: Hi there is no physical guitar tuner built in, but you can use the one in the app on your phone or tablet
Question: Does it take well on pedals? (want to use a dunlop cry baby
Answer: Katana air is a stand alone amp with small built in stereo speakers designed to emulate larger speaker cabinets. It has no external speaker jack to use with external speakers. A Katana Head is an amplifier without a combined internal speaker. It sends its output to a separate speaker cabinet. You buy the cabinet separately. That’s the main difference, there are others.

User questions & answers

Question: Free returns
Answer: I have a VT30 and it is plenty loud to play gigs. I use an amp stand to bring it up to waist level. If you have a big room and or a lot of people, just mic it through the PA system. The best thing about these valvetronix amps are that they are VOX amps. I honestly don't think that I'll buy another Fender amp again.
Question: Can it be used with an Diatonic or chromatic harmonica using a diatonic mic or convential mic
Answer: This is a great little amp. Plenty of sound. Pedals are not a problem at all.
Question: How does this compare to the roland cube mobile ac
Answer: Mine was so noisy I boxed it up and returned it. It had a constant hiss and background noise that went up and down as notes were played and decayed. Not a problem with loud, fast playing but it made slow, soft playing unbearably noisy.
Question: Is it available yet
Answer: The reason might be that the people who make the patches seem not to care about volume disparity, but the way around it in this case is to max the 'volume' knob, and then use the 'power level' knob as your master volume knob. The volumes between amp models will be more consistent if you do that.

Question: Can i plug use a boss hm-2 pedal with this
Answer: It does have a very clean channel that is great for pedals, and some of the dirty channels sound good with additional effects as well...
Question: Is this one better than yamaha yhr series
Answer: It is comparable to THR. Yamaha has updated their line at some point so for example THR-30ii has a bit more features (like support for wireless guitar plugs, or couple of more of presets available out of the box), but sound-wise they're in the same ballpark. Most obvious difference is in design, vox looks like a purse, or a fancy flashy speaker, yamaha looks very industrial.
Question: does this item come with AC adaptor
Answer: Yes it does.
Question: can you use bluetooth headphones
Answer: You can use the device AS a bluetooth speaker, but no, it doesn't work the other way around. You CAN run the usb from the amp to a computer and use the bluetooth from the computer to run bluetooth headphones, but in my experience, this has a delay - it MAY work better if all your bluetooth stuff is 5.0 or newer though.

Question: Can I plug in my acoustic electric guitar to get distortion effects, like crunch etc, or does that work only with electric guitars
Answer: Hi there. The answer is yes. Since to guitar is using a some type of pickup system which require a battery/s the Yamaha amp will work. I have done the same thing using an electro-acoustic guitar. Remember though the degree of church and or distortion is determined by two things. The type of pickups being used and the GAIN setting on both the guitar and amplifier. This will take a bit of experimenting before you find the kind of sound you're looking for. Good luck. SMINC
Question: What is the batrery life like on the thr
Answer: 8 Duracell AA batteries 2500mah enough for 10-12 hours of playing
Question: Is 2 small speakers superior to one larger? Thanku
Answer: That would depend on THE VENUE and what is REQUIRED...
Question: Is this plug in and batteries
Answer: It runs from batteries, but very power hungry. The mains DC adaptor is unique to Yamaha and the charge over £40 for it. My suggestion. Avoid this product and buy a small VOX battery amp like the VOX mini 3, better sound and lasts all day on one set of better use also has mains adaptor. Hope this helps people.

Question: What is the difference between the models? specifically the lead and classic rock models
Answer: From Vox: AC30: Provides the AC30 top boost sound. Classic Rock: Delivers the classic crunch of a UK-made 100W amp. Metal: Gives you the extreme high-gain sound of a US-made amp. Bass: Designed specifically for low frequencies, offering a wide-range response.
Question: Does this model (AC30) have an overdrive / distortion mode? Trying to decide between this one and the "Classic Rock" model
Answer: The ac30 does not have a distortion mode. What I love about this one is it is super clean sounding. I'm 100% sure you can buy a piece to go from it to a pedal than to the head set, but take it from me don't get there ac30 headset or any of the headset period with this. Buy a gaming headset, with a Mic. To everyone else sounds like your singing to no music, but sounds so clear to the user. Ac30 is better than I could ever hope for I recommend it 100% to anyone. User questions & answers

Question: This is a 40 watt amp? For 179... does it have built in distortion and reverb and delay? Thanks
Answer: No tubes, this is a solid state amp. But I must say it sounds very authentic to the legendary Vox amps from the sixties, either played clean or overdrive. I rate this amp five stars.
Question: What function does the tap button perform? Thanks
Answer: I have an Epiphone es339 and I am pretty happy with it. It's really not a bad little amp. A casino should sound good through it.
Question: what size is speaker
Answer: It is only 10w. I find it more frustrating that between the gain channel and clean, there's a large volume setting difference. I have to turn up the volume a lot when I switch between them to clean.
Question: is the power cord
Answer: Very little to none...Only time I have noticed any was when i had it powered through a AC plug in my SUV. In home use i have noticed none. It is a great little amp.

User questions & answers

Question: This amp came with 2 speakers
Answer: I'm not sure
Question: Just to make sure: if I use a condenser mic, do I just plug it in and switch to phantom power?,,, that's it
Answer: Wow. That's a very harp-specific question! I play some diatonic harmonica, but in a folk-y way with a holder on my neck while playing guitar or uke. It works fine with a conventional mic. I would say that as long as your mic has a 1/4-phone plug, it will work well. On this amp, the volume of the mic input is independent from the other (guitar) input.
Question: what is the diamiter of the speaker stand hole
Answer: I have owned both units. The Vox can be used with microphone and aux MP3 player input. Batteries last long time a great busking tool. The Roland micro cube is OK but not as versatile and eats up batteries fast.
Question: Stuart Kinniburgh any small mixer you could recommend
Answer: Here it is still available for purchase.

JOYO BLUEJAY Amplifier 20 Watt Hybrid Mini Tube Head Bluetooth BanTamp Series

JOYO

Based on 44 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The BlueJay from Joyos BantamP series is a very compact and portable 20 Watt head. The BlueJay, is an amp that got its name not from its feathered friend by the same name but rather from the fact that it can be a great companion for Blues and Jazz. Its warm clean tones are reminiscent of the classic amps that came out of California all those years ago. It can do more than clean though, it can also deliver rich overdrive tones that make you want to play those pentatonic licks all day long. The amp operates with a single 12AX7 tube in the preamp and uses a solid state power amp. The FX loop enables you to put your time based effects (or Phasers, Flangers and Choruses) behind the drive section and keep the effects sharp and not prevent them from being too muddy. The CLEAN channel can take pedals really well, which makes it flexible and a great little companion for many situation where your big head is just not sensible. The amp has a speaker out rated at 8O, but can also be operated at 16O with less power. Careful, the amp is small, but loud its 20 Watts can be quite a handful. If you want to practice quietly, use the built in headphone out with speaker emulation. The icing on the cake is the BLUETOOTH connectivity. Easily connect with your BLUETOOTH enabled device and play music through the BantamP. This is great to practice with PlayAlongs or to learn songs. Features Preamp circuit: JFET+ 1 x 12AX7 Power amp: CLASS D Channel mode: NORMAL / BRIGHT Amp power: 20W(RMS) Aux in function: Bluetooth music playing Bluetooth version: 4.0
