What if I told you that you could get into fantastic cardio shape by doing as little as four minutes of exercise? Sound too good to be true? Not when it comes to Tabata training. Tabata training has been around for a very long time but has recently been gaining more and more popularity in the fitness industry.
Tabata training is a short but very intense type of training workout that improves your aerobic capacity as well as your ability to burn fat long after you have finished your workout. It generally consists of eight high-intensity 20-second intervals, each followed by a 10-second recovery. This may sound easy on paper, but trust me, it is not! Cathe created Tabatacise to reflect this type of Tabata training.
The workout consists of five different four-minute Tabata workouts. Each of the five Tabata workouts is followed by a step recovery blast. Since your maximum heart rate will often exceed 90%, I have included these recovery blasts to help bring your heart rate down in a more controlled manner. But beware, there is just a teeny, tiny blast hidden in those recovery periods.
Because Tabatacise is so tough, we suggest you gradually work up to doing it in stages or levels. With each new level you attempt, you'll add one new additional Tabata to your routine working up to a total of five Tabatas.

I don't recall a lot of kickboxing but there was a smattering of boxing/martial arts style moves. Plank style moves. Burpees....can't say. Keep in mind that this is set to electronic music and although the sequencing is far from dance, it is not exactly drop-and-give-me-15 either. |

Answer: | I live in a studio loft and I don't have enough room. There are a few sequences where you will need to do a run pace back and forth and in a couple sequences you have to do back and forth ground and standing position work and you need more than 3 ft of space. |

Answer: | yes it does require jumping. However, I modify by using my mini trampoline for jumping jacks and running in place. I also modify the burpees by eliminating the jumping. |

Answer: | Hi Katie, One on One are circuit workouts, alternating between toning and cardio workouts. We do 6 different exercises (3 cardio, 3 toning) starting with a 20 rep count and working our way down from there. It is a fast-paced workout with 5 different workouts in the set, focusing on different body parts. The workout comes with a 30 day calendar stating which workout to do which day. Answer: | The radius is 7.5in/19cm at the widest point. It's slightly hexagonal. The part you should center your step on is 6.875in/17.5cm. My shoe size is 9US and when I stand on it, with my feet in the center and about 3in/7.5cm apart, there is still about 3in/7.5cm clearance around my feet. I can comfortable do all the step movements without worrying about missing the step or having my feet edge off of it. Hope that helps. |

Answer: | The videos have 4 different girls doing the same workout just at different levels so you can pick which every level fits you. I like it a lot! |

Answer: | Whatever you need for your ability. You can also use resistance bands. I personally have hand weights/Dumbbells from 3-15lbs that I use. For the most part I use the 8 and 10 lb weights the most but it does depend on the muscle group. |

Answer: | Hi Jenny. Stephanie from X-TrainFit here. The only equipment needed is dumbbells and/or resistance bands. Yoga mat is recommended but not required. There are some stability ball options shown, but one is not required. I hope this helps. |

Answer: | I just finished the first week and not much jumping at all. For the very few parts that do include a jump type movement there is a person doing the modified version. I did insanity and it killed my knees, this wasn't hard on them at all. It is actually very low impact. A little too low for me. I think I need something between this and insanity. Thus wasn't enough to feel like a good workout for me, but insanity was too much. |

The videos are between 15 -25 minutes long depending on the fitness level. YAYOG VOL ll: use one program (one disc) in that fitness level (NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE, and ADVANCE) each week. Monday's Timed Super set, Wednesday's Ladders, Friday's Circuit Training. Repeat this until you can keep up with good form then move up to the next level. I recommend starting with Novice and work your way up. |

One workout is a bit slower, one is faster etc. The workouts are pretty basic with only a few moves practiced over and over.b If you want something with more moves try the EFX series. Much harder. |

I am a 68 year old male, with this routine n a proper diet I went from 201 to 172 in 7 months n my wife, Karen loves how ripped I am. I didn't even look this good when I was a 20 year old Marine. In March I felt like I was 78, today I feel like I'm 38. This program got me motivated (started my new eating plan in March, started Mark's program in mid-June). HIIT training burns fat, because it builds muscle. Cardio workouts lower testosterone n kills your ability to burn fat effectively. I give this program an enthusiastic 2 thumbs up.
