9 best dvds women

"DVDs for women" is not a specific category or genre of DVDs in the context of movies and TV.However, it's possible that you may be referring to DVDs that cater to certain preferences, interests, or demographics that are commonly associated with women. In this context, here are some points to consider:

  1. Genres: DVDs and movies come in various genres, including drama, comedy, romance, action, and more. Some genres may have broader appeal or themes that resonate with a specific demographic, such as women. For example, romantic comedies, dramas with strong female protagonists, or movies focusing on relationships and personal growth might be of interest to many women.

  2. Independently Distributed Films: Independent films, often referred to as indie films, cover a wide range of topics and themes. Some indie films may explore unique and thought-provoking stories that appeal to a diverse audience, including women.

  3. Representation: Many women appreciate movies and TV shows that offer strong, relatable female characters and explore issues that are relevant to women's lives, such as empowerment, identity, relationships, and social issues.

  4. Diverse Interests: It's important to remember that women, like men, have diverse interests and preferences when it comes to entertainment. While some women may enjoy traditional romantic dramas, others may prefer action-packed thrillers, science fiction, or documentaries.

  5. Audience Targeting: In the marketing of DVDs and movies, it's common to target specific audiences based on their preferences. However, it's essential to recognize that these categorizations are often generalized and do not apply to every individual.

  6. Film Festivals: Independent film festivals often showcase a wide range of films, including those that explore unique and diverse perspectives. Some of these films may resonate strongly with women.

Ultimately, the term "DVDs for women" is not a specific genre but rather a marketing approach or a way to highlight movies and TV shows that may appeal to a female audience based on their themes, characters, or storytelling styles. It's important to remember that individuals have unique tastes and interests, so what appeals to one woman may not necessarily resonate with another. It's always a good idea to explore a variety of films and genres to find what personally resonates with you or the intended audience.

With her husband off at war, Marmee (Sarandon) is left alone to raise their four daughters, her LITTLE WOMEN. There is the spirited Jo (Ryder); conservative Meg (Trini Alvarado, Paulie); fragile Beth (Claire Danes, William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet); and romantic Amy (played at different ages by Kristen Dunst, Wag the Dog and Samantha Mathis, Broken Arrow). As the years pass, the sisters share some of the most cherished and painful memories of self-discovery, as Marmee and Aunt March (Mary Wickes, The Man Who Came to Dinner) guide them through issues of independence, romance and virtue. Gabriel Byrne (End of Days), Eric Stoltz (TV's "Chicago Hope") and Christian Bale (The Portrait of a Lady) co-star in this "handcrafted valentine" (Newsweek) of a film.

    User questions & answers

Question: Does this one come with the nutrition book
Answer: Anyone can sign up on teambeachbody dot com. It's a free information/social networking type website. Enjoy! :)
Question: What dvds does this include for 10 dollars
Answer: I had thought that was part of the advanced set too. I guess I was wrong.
Question: When you select “dvd+guide only” are you only getting one dvd or all 4 zumba dvds
Answer: If you already have the base kit and want the additional videos and workout tools then YES, you can upgrade ... just not an amazon. On the website TeamBeachBody, you can SHOP in FITNESS PROGRAMS and select the TAI CHENG MASTER KIT UPGRADE which is currently priced at $120. I'm trying avoid sending you a direct link but hopefully the clues are good enough. Maybe someone will sell the upgrade on amazon eventually.
Question: How many DVD come with this purchase
Answer: Hey Ryan,The 13-week calendar for the basic workout is available along with the advanced calendar as well. There is no 6 week calendar. However, both calendars are FRONT and BACK. The 1st 6 weeks is on the front. The last 7 weeks is on the back. The Advanced calendar includes everything that's on the basic calendar as well as the Qi Gong exercises. Advanced Week 13 also includes the Tai Chi Fast, Moderate and Slow DVD which is slightly different from the regular program. There is no reason NOT to start with the Advanced Calendar. The Qi Gong isn't difficult and it probably should be done along side the other workouts anyway. The Week 13 Tai Chi is a welcome change of pace as it puts everything together very smoothly.Hope that helps. Anything else you'd like to know, just ask! :)

    Designing Women: Season 1

    Shout Factory

Based on 608 reviews Check latest price

    Product description

When four strong, sassy and sexy Southern women running a fledgling interior decorating firm hit the television airwaves as Designing Women in 1986, they brought a new kind of Southern spirit to American television. Smart, ambitious and outspoken—they embodied the "new" Southern woman. The much-married, alimony-rich beauty queen Suzanne Sugarbaker (Delta Burke) uses her feminine wiles to attract business for the firm—and future ex-husbands for herself. Her sophisticated sister, Julia (Dixie Carter), is nobody's fool and runs the operation—and her own life—with a guarded graciousness. Mary Jo Shively (Annie Potts) is the sweet-natured, recently-divorced mother trying to make her own way in the world as a decorator for the first time. Small-town gal Charlene Frazier (Jean Smart) is the naïve, overly-trusting bad-guy magnet who runs the office. They are all devoted to the business. They are each devoted to the other. When series creator Linda Bloodworth-Thomason first approached CBS with her proposal, all she knew for sure was that she wanted to do a show featuring these four talented actresses. The network agreed. And based on the power of that ensemble cast and the humanity and humor of their stories, Designing Women was a gift to American television that ran for seven seasons and continues winning fans to this day in reruns all around the world.

    - "Designing Women: A Reunion" - Sponsored By The Paley Center For Media In 2006

The mark of a great sitcom is whether the jokes and tone stand up to time, despite any outdated hairstyles and fashion. Designing Women is a great sitcom. The first season--which aired during 1986-1987--capitalizes on the leading ladies' charm and chemistry. Sure, the clothes may give away the era, but the dialogue is consistently whip-smart and funny. Julia Sugarbaker (Dixie Carter) owns an Atlanta interior design firm. She is a proper, well-mannered lady, but if you get on her bad side, watch out: Her words cut through like a knife, as evidenced in an episode where a clueless man thinks Julia and her friends might be flattered by his unwanted attention. Julia's sister Suzanne Sugarbaker (Delta Burke) is the polar opposite of her feminist sister. A former beauty queen, Suzanne has been married and divorced more than a handful of times. Though shallow and blunt, Suzanne also has a heart of gold when it comes to things that really matter--like friends and family. Mary Jo Shively (Annie Potts) is their petite, red-headed colleague. Divorced from a doctor who she put through med school, Mary Jo isn't sure how to navigate life as a single mom. Then there's Charlene Frazier (Jean Smart), whom Suzanne once referred to as a "big old donkey girl." Naïve and hopeful, Charlene sees the good in everyone--even Suzanne. The beauty of Designing Women is that while somes of the plotlines revolve around each character's insecurity, the writers also tap into what the women really want--even if they aren't aware of it. For instance, Suzanne volunteers to foster a child whose adoptive parents can't take her for a month. Never mind that this isn't the way foster parents or adoption works. The way Suzanne fusses over the little girl--even allowing Li Sing to wear one of her prized tiaras to bed--is as touching as it is funny. Meanwhile, Julia has a difficult time watching her 19-year-old son engage in a romance with a woman her own age. This season also tackles sexual harassment, racism, and cancer. There are some ridiculous premises--such as Charlene's being involved with a possible escaped criminal and Suzanne being worried that her maid cast a voodoo spell over her. But overall, Designing Women still manages to make viewers laugh, think, and even cry a bit. --Jae-Ha Kim
