You can measure carefully and check the size of the battery you want and MAYBE find a bigger one that still fits your chair battery space, but you are better off using the battery size recommended by the chair maker. |

| Answer: | First of all, please remember that batteries are DC voltage, that is direct current voltage. The voltage used in houses & almost every other structure in the USA is going to be ac voltage or alternating current. Concerning whether or not this battery can be used with/ in a solar system, I cannot say as I do not have a solar system, and am not fully informed of the requirements for a solar system. These batteries were wonderful for a jazzy electric wheelchair that weighed 260 lb. And, these batteries are good in any situation where you need a battery that can be completely discharged and recharged without damaging the battery. I used a battery like this for a trolling motor on my rowboat. And, they do hold a charge for a long time while not in use. |
