Question:	Are the footrests adjustable so feet can be in a raised position
Answer:	Drive Medical says the weight limit is 450 pounds. The stool is very sturdy and seems well-built, but at just under 200 pounds I have difficulty finding the handle and turning the seat. Rotation in the small seat is certainly not smooth. The benefit to this stool is its 15" width so it will fit in any standard bathtub with room to turn, albeit limited. The negative to that is the very small seat which I found uncomfortable. I imagine the more someone weighs, the more uncomfortable this stool would be. If mobility and comfort are not issues then I would trust the 450 lb. capacity. I am only 5'2" and we actually have a slightly larger than standard tub. I will be upgrading to a shower chair with a back and putting a spa pillow down on the seat to help with cushioning. The ability to rotate will be missed but, due to my arthritis, comfort and support are more important.

Answer:	I weigh 220 lbs, and the legs broke where they cross. I wrote a review, see the pictures. I contacted cybermarketonline.com who is the parent company and they are located out of Great Britain. All I got so far was 'send more pictures and we'll start an investigation." and "All our products are sold on amazon, there is nothing we can do for you." I sent picture sof the broken leg from below showing the ripped metal, as well as a photo or two of me on the unit wiht the legs spreading out to the point of failure. It is not only NOT rated for 280 lbs, it is not rated for 220 lbs, and I question if it is rated for much over 150 pounds. I ahve pictures of teh broken unit and failure if anyone wants them.

Answer:	I've had it a month now. Use it in the shower, yes sturdy (180# man). Also I have used it to keep my foot raised while I'm sitting around ( which is all I can do lately) . No I have not tightened it yet, with a lot of use it's stayed sturdy.

Answer:	The items literature says that it will support 550 lbs. This is a quality product all of the cross pieces are bolted together with stainless steel bolts and welded to the legs. The only thing that is wrong with this unit is that the feet have a plain steel washer to prevent the feet from cutting the rubber feet and these washer rust over time. I solved this problem by replacing them with some stainless steel washers that I purchased at Lowes problem solved. I think that it was less than two dollars and now I do not have to worry about rust in my shower.
