Answer:	Mine appears to be well covered with what appears to be enamel paint on all exposed surfaces, so unless the surface is nicked somehow, and the paint damaged, then I doubt it could rust. Plus, unless you fill the bathtub with water and never empty it, so it leaves the base of the grab bar constantly submerged, (?) should not be an issue.

Answer:	I suspect it is not recommended for fiberglass tub because fiberglass tub walls tend to be not as solid as steel tub walls, thus the clamp might not be able to grab tight enough to the tub, which will increase chances of the tub rail slipping when someone puts much weight on it. There is a chance of damaging/cracking the fiberglass tub wall as well. If you use this with a fiberglass tub, keep in mind you are using it in a way that it is not designed for and the manufacture has warned against using it that way.

Answer:	It’ll initially suction but it won’t last since any wood is porous even if it’s finished or varnished. You can only use this bar for assist or balance. There’s a warning not to use it to pull one’s self up from the tub. That’s dangerous.

Answer:	I had mine for a couple of months without picking it up. I just rinsed my mat after my shower. It was starting to get a few dark spots and I was getting ready to put it in the washer, when I found a scrub free soap scum remover. Answer:	Thats what I have and it works fine. Just don't over-tighten or you can crack the tub. Might consider putting a piece of drawer liner rubber between the tub and the grab bars to keep it from slipping and without over-tightening.

Answer:	As far as I can tell it is true to what it says "Stainless Steel". I do believe that makes it basically rust proof. The one I installed still looks new and I ALWAYS spray my whole shower with the after shower spray. The only problem I had with this hand grip was the molly bolts sent with the installation package. Did not work at all in my shower, and I used my own heavier duty mollies which really sealed it down very tight. House will fall before hand grips could come loose!
