Answer:	You can create your own delicious illusion of crema yourself! When I was in Italy a few years ago, an older woman on the top of the hill near my house had invited me over for coffee with her family almost every day after lunch, she would use an old Moka style Bialetti stovetop coffee maker and served me a cup with what seemed like a thick layer of crema, I eventually asked her how she did that, because at home I had the same unit and it would never make la crema!You can put about 2-3 teaspoons of sugar in a small cup, turn your coffee maker on, and begin the extraction! As soon as you see the coffee start coming up, pour a bit into the cup with sugar, you jut need a tiny splash depending on how much you want to make. You must use the very first bit of coffee that is extracted, otherwise it mixes with the rest of the coffee as it gathers in the top and becomes ineffective to use with "the crema"... Now you should have small cup with 2-3 teaspoons of sugar, and a splash of fresh extracted coffee, you mix with a spoon until a thick consistency! If you have a bit on the spoon and hold it upside down, it should slowly drip off the spoon, if it flows too quickly you can add more sugar, if it's too too thick like peanut butter, there wasn't enough coffee, and it's waster, as you cannot add more coffee.Anyway, mix with a spoon until goldish/tan color, thick consistency. Once your unit finishes the extraction, pour a cup of espresso, and mix in the sugary "crema". The sugar mixes in, returns to a fluid consistency with the coffee, and what appears to be crema sits on top. Looks great, and tastes wonderful if normally, you like sugar with your espresso!

Question:	From your experience, does this machine produce a nice foam after using it for a while
Answer:	My Friend. There ARE plenty of YouTube videos that actually demonstrate how to use the top hand air pump to double as a milk froather. I haven't tried it myself, yet with just examining each piece of the equipment, looks like it will work. The upper plunger hand air pump will force a jet of pressurized air into the milk that can and does fit in the extra glass tumbler that comes with the kit. So, when you finish with pressing your espresso, then you can portion half the spare glass tumbler, take the plunger pump off the device, submerge the lower tip into the milk and carefully press down the pump to force the jet of air into the milk, making it eventually froath up. One component, double duty, pressurize the hot water chamber to 15-20 bars pressure than forces the hot water through the ground coffee puck, then when detached, press the plunger to force a jet of air to froath up milk in the second glass tumbler to finish making your cappuccino.
Question:	My lattes are cold. What am I doing wrong? The espresso is hot, but when I put the frothed milk in, it chills it. Steam longer and too frothy
Answer:	You fill it with hot water, then pump to pressurize the vessel and push water through the grinds. So the resultant temperature is a function of how hot the water is when you pour it in. Pushing the water through to make espresso is quick once the container is filled so the water does not cool down too much.
Question:	What size tamper do you use with this machine? 51 or 53 mm? It looks like the 58 would be too large
Answer:	The base is made of ABS, a common and inexpensive plastic material (same as used to make the black waste pipes used in homes). If my base cracked, I would either 1) try to get a replacement from the manufacturer under the warranty, 2) repair it with cyanoacrylate glue, or 3) cement it together with ABS glue (available at hardware stores). I recommend keeping it out of the sunlight as much as possible, as it deteriorates under UV light.
Question:	Is the boiler made of aluminum, and does aluminum otherwise come in contact with the water
Answer:	you can use the poder container to press the rubber gasket a little. please don't worry, the rubber gasket was made to keep the filter stay in place, a little dislocation won't influence the coffee you make.

Answer:	I don't know about overheat protection. I always turn it off. I have forgotten it once or twice, for an hour or so, and no problem. The water will not deplete by itself. You can see the water tank, and if it runs out, you will definitely hear it when making a coffee. I use distilled water and keep the tank full at all times as I use the machine 4-6 times a day.

Answer:	The distance is 3" from drip spouts when inserted for function, but I Used one 3 1/2" cup for Double Shot ( Tip it a fraction when function complete, as you view pic, the drip spouts are 1/3" ) ... Question:	Is this a 4 cups of Coffe? How much coffe does it make
Answer:	I've not timed it, but it's pretty quick. Of course, the first cup takes a little longer because the water has to heat. Once that's been done, it's probably 2 minutes or so per cup (not too long so you can stand there and enjoy watching that creamy steamed milk pour into the cup and smell the heavenly espresso as it's dispensed into the cup)!
Question:	Are there any major differences between this model, ecp3420, and the ecp3630 that is $80 more
Answer:	Not technically but there is a work around. The machine froths the milk before brewing the espresso so simply choose latte or cappuccino, froth the milk, the press the Start/Stop button BEFORE the espresso is brewed. However, since the beans are ground first, you will waste the grounds. A way around this is to choose the ground coffee bypass but simply don't add any grounds. Then proceed to froth the milk. You should still press the Start/Stop button before the coffee is pulled so you don't get any left over grounds water.
Question:	What size tamper does this machine need
Answer:	Can't tell if you're serious or not, but I will answer anyways. The machine will take ground or whole beans so as along as your decaf coffee comes in one of those forms you should be good to go. You can also use orange juice instead of water to compliment your pick for a $800 decaf coffee maker

Answer:	Get a 51-mm tamper.
Question:	How long between shots will I need to wait? Can I use this when entertaining guests
Answer:	Almost immediately; maybe 5 to 10 seconds max. The water in the boiler is already hot, so it only takes seconds to bring the temperature back up after one shot of water is used. By the time you get rid of the puck or used pod and reload the filter, the green temperature light is back on , and you are ready to brew another shot. I do this when making double shots, as getting 2 pods into the filter is difficult and the pump strains to push the water through the extra paper of 2 pods. If you want to brew doubles without having to reload the filter, I recommend using loose grounds, but that's messier than using pods. I prefer the pods, and reloading. Using it for guests should not be a problem.
Question:	Why buy this model vs the BAR 155 or
Answer:	This was terribly complicated to use. You HAD to have the correct cup, which is very, small and nothing I wanted to fool with. Eventually I decided to look for a frother alone to heat milk & make my normal coffee. I LOVE THIS FROTHER. THE NAME IS "Capresso". You can buy at Bed Bath and Beyond or Amazon. Works great!

Answer:	The espresso is hot but it takes a little bit to steam the milk, in the event you want a latte. Having said that, i have used mine almost daily since i purchased it. No problems so far and it paid for itself within the first week, in terms of what i would have paid at the cafe. I have gotten the best results with espresso roast ground one notch larger than espresso grind, although lavazza works perfectly right out of the can or bag. Hope it helps!

Answer:	My Nespresso machine tells me the instructions (100 ml solution to 500 ml water) as soon as I begin the descaling process. Of course I always forget this and waste time searching the internet every time I need to descale.

Answer:	In no uncertain terms, yes, though with caution in doing so. The correct dilution is one dose, (5 doses in bottle) per liter of water. The big worry is whether it removes TOO MUCH scale at once which could cause the internal valves or hoses to clog. If it is already clogged it probably won't work as it has to get through the water circuit to work. If it still does have flow, depending on usage history, amount of minerals in your water and descaling history, (if any) it could blast too much scale loose at once. Depending on the combinations of the variables it would probably be conservative on the dose and do it several times. And when doing so do it slowly and allow a couple of minutes for the solution to steep inside the channels by starting flow, pausing for a couple of minutes, starting flow again , over a course of 12 to 15 minutes. The solution as the machine is designed is meant to flow through the tap valve and not the coffee head. Then rinse with a full container of clean water after descaling
