Answer:	I'm not sure what you received because mine are like most every other gardening hand tool I have. There's a black plastic part that pivots into a notch at the top of the handle by your thumb. It pivots away from the housing to allow the blades to open and into the housing to lock it. If yours isn;t like that, post a picture of both sides.

Answer:	Not a problem as long as you cut along the channel in the corrugated sheet. It will not across the channel use a razor and a straight edge

Question:	When I cut across the ribs with straight edge and razor I get uneven lines. Anyone know a good hand tool for cutting across the coroplast ribs
Answer:	Best way I found to do this is using a straight edge and a razor knife. The trick is don't try to the cut in one pass. On your first pass just score the surface of the material and focus on keeping your straight edge in place. Depending on the thickness of the material I'm working with I will take a few passes if necessary. I get perfect cuts about 95% of the time. 100% if I pay attention and take my time:)
Question:	Does this leave particles after it is cut using this blade
Answer:	It does not when used on coroplast. As coroplast is more of a plastic material and has no filling, not like cardboard or foam, it doesn’t disintegrate or slough off when cut.
