Answer:	You are much better off with a cheap water proof thermometer- OR you can buy a waterproof k thermoouple ---to let it sink a few feet. The surface temp of water is not the same as it is a foot or 2 under. The surface temp is higher- and here in arizona I have seen 75-80 degree "water"---that is really 65-70 a few feet down. I have seen the surface temp 80 degrees in 2-3 places but a foot or 2 deep one spot is 65, another is 75- so there are many factors at work. The place to ask this question is on fishing thermometer listings--- Good luck.

Question:	Is the thermometer the same as the picture
Answer:	Two possibilities: 1. Low battery. circuit boards are very sensitive to a slight voltage drop, so fresh batteries will take that possibility out. Also, taking the batteries out and putting them back in would reset a board that just lost it's mind, like turning a (Windows) computer off and on again. 2. Bad temperature prob cord. a damaged cord almost always shows as an irrational readout. Note: cords break frequently, but they are largely interchangeable with the general replacement probes sold at the Walmart all the grilling season long for about $5.

Answer:	Yes, so long as the temperature does not exceed 390 degrees F.

Answer:	Yes, the infrared thermometer can measure the surface temperature of the object and can not measure the internal temperature. It has a gift probe thermometer as a supplement to measure the internal temperature of the object, you can rest assured to buy it.
Question:	When adjusting emissivity, can the arrow keys be held down for rapid adjustment, or is a keypress needed for every 0.1 increment
Answer:	This thermometer to measure the temperature of the skin surface can only be used for reference, its accuracy of +/- 2%, I don't recommend you use it to detect whether the fever. The laser must avoid the eyes when check the temperature.

Answer:	Thank you for your support. Here are some suggestions to help you use the product better: first, switch to body temperature mode in advance. When the screen is on, the default value is displayed. Just aim the Forehead Thermometer at the forehead, press the measurement key once, and the measurement value can be displayed in about 1-2 seconds. Remove the thermometer only after a short beep, otherwise the result may be inaccurate. Long press the setting key for 5 seconds to switch between ° C and ° F. Answer:	It will work correctly at any range as long as you pay attention to the fact that the size of the area measured gets bigger as you move farther away. A normal vent might need to be measured from not much more than 3-4ft away to get an accurate reading.
