Answer:	Not in my experience. I use it to maintain mash temperature of 150-160F and there is some condensation buildup on the outside but never fogs inside the thermometer.

Answer:	When I've used it the thermometer typically reads within 30 seconds or so - I don't use it in soil, I insert it into a large quantity of cacao beans that are fermenting in order to see how hot the ferment is - I have found it to be very accurate

Answer:	Yes you should change the battery. You just need a precision screwdriver. Loosen the 4 screws and the top half and bottom half will Separate. Take notice what direction the battery is in then remove the battery and you will see the battery number so you can pick up a new battery at longs or wall greens to replace it.

Answer:	The gauge on the hygrometer goes to zero although I have no way of testing whether it works in that low range. Obviously, there would be no humidity in a vacuum, so the hygrometer reading would be trivial. I don't know whether the thermometer is affected by air pressure.

Answer:	I think it would work outside of water but it has an external and internal read on it and they would probably be the same a lot of times if you kept the digital box near your terrarium. It may be cheaper to get the thermometer without the probe part on it.

Answer:	The probe cord is 10 feet long. I'm using mine to monitor a fountain temp where the fountain sits right outside a window and there's pently of cord.

Answer:	We used ours in a 200 gallon salt water tank. Our temp would run between 78 and 83 depending on the temperature in our home and the water temperature during a water change. Very accurate thermometer, highly recommend!

Answer:	Yes, it has a magnet on the back, also a little plastic stand. The suction cup goes inside an aquarium yes, the probe goes through the little hole on it. I've had it in my saltwater tank for years and it works great. One thing to beware of is the salt water can erode the plastic around the probe over time. To prevent this, I put silicone around it to protect it.

Answer:	Nathan, Thanks for the question. The Moisture Range on this Hand Held meter for CORN is 10 - 40%. However, the clear plastic funnel which is provided to assist with consistent filling of the test cell, will not work well on corn over say 25 - 30%. This is due to the lack of flowability in the higher moisture content. I would suggest that you still fill the funnel, but pour the sample back out the large end at just 1 - 2" above the test cell. EVERY TIME and at the same Rate. With this consistency, you would have much greater repeatability between different tests. Question:	Can this be used to locate a leak behind drywall. The drywall is not showing wetness so the water is probably running down a stud or outside wall
Answer:	This tool will measure the moisture content of any building material including wood and drywall. If the test indicates a high moisture content in just one spot, you could probably conclude that there was a leak at that point.
Question:	Can this be used on concrete and drywall
Answer:	Yes, the device has four modes. Wall, masonry, soft wood, hard wood. Wall is drywall.
Question:	I had a leak inside a wall that came from an outside source. I would like to check for moisture on drywall and wood behind wall. Is that possible
Answer:	That is the same reason I purchased this unit. It worked great and I was able to see how much wall needed to be opened up.Well worth the money.
Question:	What's the probe length? Are they insulated or replaceable
Answer:	As far as i can tell the probes are about 3/8 long. The are metal, and have a plastic cover to protect them and you when not in use. The cap can also be flipped over once taken off, to help check device itself, for calibration. They are replaceable. They actually come with an extra set of pins (probes). Hope this helps.

Question:	Does it work for freezer temperatures
Answer:	Never tried it in the freezer.
Question:	What is the temp range
Answer:	-40 deg F to 136 deg F
Question:	Does this record the min and max over several days? For example, I would I be able to see the min and max temp for five consecutive days
Answer:	No. For an example we had an outdoor temp of 7 degrees three days ago that shows as the record low until there becomes a lower temp. It records the date and time that that occured. I can delete that info and start a new record.
Question:	How often does it record temperatures per day
Answer:	As far as I can tell it just keeps an all time high and low until you reset it. Not a daily record.
