Answer:	I should imagine so. In order to measure out-of-round of a piston, the piston would have to be out of the block. To gauge the out-of-round of the cylinder bore, you would use an inside caliper then use the appropriate micrometer to measure the spread of the caliper.

I would say identifying a small animal like a coyote or rabbit is limited to about 50 yards or less, larger animals a bit further. Generally I would say this is a very short range thermal optic.

Additionally, run time fluctuates depending on the setting as the random setting uses more battery power. Take plenty of 'name brand' batteries on you trip and if in cold weather put them in you sleeping bag close to your body heat while you sleep.
