Answer:	This IR thermometer has a very narrow range of temperatures it displays. IF I point it at my hair, the lowest temp I've seen is 93.6F. If the temp reading is much below that it just displays "Lo". Hence it probably has a range from 93F to 108F as a guess. Other IR measurement devices, and I have one from Etekcity that's black and yellow is good for temps from -58F to 716F degrees per the label on it. That one just measured by stover burner at 408F, plus my fridge was 40F and freezer was +3F. This one is much better for humans and the etekcity is better for no humans. I read 94F on Etekcity and 98.6F for this unit on my forehead. This is made for people.

Answer:	That’s what I do. I shake it down before I go to bed. In the morning, it’s ready to take a morning underarm reading. I tried using it under my tongue, but I’d fall back asleep and it would drop out of my mouth. Securing it in my underarm works great. My alarm clock snooze lasts 5 minutes, which is just enough time to get an accurate reading. Shaking it down using the sock twirling method has worked super well for me over the years!

Answer:	How To Calibrate your Thermometer: The thermometer is initially calibrated at the time of manufacturing. If the thermometer is used according to the manual, periodic readjustment is not required. However, we recommend conducting a quick calibration to confirm that your unit didn't get damaged during shipment. A quick way to calibrate your unit is by doing the water test. Dip the tip of the thermometer into a cup of cold water. Question:	I'm getting readings that are all over the place. Is this really an accurate reading? 2.5 degree F temperature difference on consecutive measurements
Answer:	I think most thermometers will give you different readings, sometimes widely, if you use take measures too close to each other in time (e.g., if you use check temperature twice within 10 second). I use a very good German-made therostat and still have the same problem. I think if you check you temperature, wait for a couple minutes or so and check again, and it's a good thermometer if it gives you relatively similar readings. A more important thing is whether an ear or forehead thermometer gives readings that are close enough to an under-the-tongue thermometer.

Question:	I just bought one put it in my mouth and it only goes up to 30 what am I doing wrong
Answer:	I bought it for my daughter & family because they didn’t have a thermometer and desperately needed one due to the virus - it took over a month to arrive at their home so they managed to find another while waiting for it. They gave it to a friend in need when it finally got to their home.
Question:	this thermometer says it is partial immersion, there is no line on the tube to show the immersion point. how far should it be immersed
Answer:	I did not pay 14.00, maybe try another seller

Answer:	They mean not in direct sunlight primarily

Answer:	As thermometers go, they are a simple device that, when produced, are accurate to +/- 1 degree. My automobile thermometer is nearly always identical to the LaCrosse round thermometer.
Question:	Is there any way to calibrate this? Have it on my patioand it is at least 10 degrees off
Answer:	Mine was also 10 degrees off. I used a small screwdriver (for a sewing machine) to turn the tiny brass screw in the center coil on the back of thermometer to adjust to correct temp. Hope this helps you.

Question:	Does this disl fog up
Answer:	Not in my experience. I use it to maintain mash temperature of 150-160F and there is some condensation buildup on the outside but never fogs inside the thermometer.
Question:	How long does it take to get a accurate reading with this thermometer
Answer:	When I've used it the thermometer typically reads within 30 seconds or so - I don't use it in soil, I insert it into a large quantity of cacao beans that are fermenting in order to see how hot the ferment is - I have found it to be very accurate

Answer:	I would think so .....
Question:	Can this be left outside permanently
Answer:	Mine has been left outdoors for roughly 9 months. Glad this question came up . First hard freeze in the South coming in 2 days. Reminded me to go get before it freezes and cracks

Answer:	In my experience the tape does not work very well, at least on carpet. The vacuum pushes the tape slightly every time it bumps into it and eventually it pushes it into the area you're trying to avoid. For us, we're trying to keep the Shark out from underneath our recliners where it gets stuck 90% of the time. Inevitably, it will end up crossing the tape and getting stuck under the recliner or getting stuck on top of the tape (we'll get an alert in the Shark app letting us know our Shark is stuck on top of a magnetic boundary tape).

Answer:	Extremely well but you need to remove the hair off the edge of the roller because it gets wrapped around the roller

Answer:	We lived in Europe for 10+yrs. When you use 110 appliances with a 220v converter, you'll end up destroying the motor. We had microwave, vacuum, hairdryer, can opener...and they all burned out within the 1st yr. So we went to local Thrift shop/2nd hand store and bought EU 220 replacements.
