How To Use :

Question:	I will be using this meter once a month. Do I need storage solution for the probe
Answer:	Storing the probe in the storage solution helps keep the probe's sensitivity and accuracy. So it's a recommended practice. While storing the probe without any solution will not damage the probe, it's just going to cause the probe to lose its sensitivity and accuracy temporarily. Store the probe in the storage solution again for about 10 minutes, the sensitivity and accuracy can be restored.
Question:	Can anyone confirm if this comes pre calibrated
Answer:	The tester has been calibrated before they went out of the factory. But since there is a time gap before they reach our customers, we recommend doing the calibration with the included premixed buffer solutions before your first use.Thanks for your interest!

Answer:	Yes, it can tests urine with no problem. You can use the probe cap as a container for the urine.

Answer:	The manufacturer recommends keeping the device probe in a neutral storage solution; the protective tip case/container actually has a 'fill' line for guidance, and it is designed to hold a liquid safely when stored as indicated -- If someone uses distilled or deionized water by itself as a storage solution, the salts contained in the probe tip will dissipate and the probe will then need to be replaced--about $25, plus a fine headache trying to get it right. If you are out of storage solution keeping the probe wet somehow is better than dry--but don't store without the specialized solution for more than a day or so; these are typically $10-$13 for 100ml - 250ml size bottles on Amazon.

Answer:	If you calibrate ANY PH meter using the mix it yourself "calibration" solutions, accuracy will be impossible. I just purchased this meter set, and discovered the distilled water I use was ph4 and below! I have the "other" style cheap meter, that has proven very stable for me, and after checking it in GHP 7.0 calibration solution, used it to test the accuracy of this relentlessly poor example of a ph testing system. First off, the solution instructions make no mention what the ph of the distilled water needs to be. My 4.0 water mixed with the 4.0 and 6.86 powder, resulted in a solution of 3.3 and 6.0 instead, so IMO, the MIY calibration solutions are a joke, as are ph meters that calibrate on the 6.86 standard instead of 7.0.

Question:	Is it normal that there is water stuck in the glass sensor on the bottom and that water in the digital number part
Answer:	No it isn't chances are that you submerged the meter too deep when measuring. You only submerge the meter about one inch [that's the plastic part with the groove in it]. You will have to get a new one if it doesn't read properly.

Answer:	It comes with a buffer powder that you add to a premeasured amount of distilled water. You dip the pH meter in the buffered solution and it auto calibrates.

Be sure to have distilled water to rinse all substances away from the probe when testing.

How to Calibrate the pH Meter

Take ph 9.18 standard solution as an example

Power on→Press the MODEL/CAL button → Adjust to pH mode→

Put the electrode into pH9.18 standard solution, then wait for the readings to stabilize(usually 5~10 Seconds) →

Press and hold the MODEL/CAL button and release after 6 seconds→untill the readings of pH9.18 is no longer flashing,

and the calibration of pH9.18 is completed.

Rinse the electrode with distilled water and blot dry. Repeat the above steps if you need to calibrate other solutions.

How to make a standard solution:

Completely empty the powder into a clean 250ml glass beaker.

Add 250ml of PH Buffer Powder to the beaker.

Still until the powder has completely dissolved.
