Answer:	It will always glow when the "hot" side is present. However, if you are missing the neutral to your lightbulb socket your lightbulb will not work, but the instrument will still glow, showing power is present.

Answer:	I find the Fluke's build quality to be better than the Klein. If I drop the Klein, the tail cap falls off and the batteries fly out. I don't have that issue with the Fluke. Also the power button works better, my Klein's button is too sensitive. Also the Fluke I have (the 1AC model) will detect voltage in most tamper resistant receptacles without having to open the shutter, where my Klein will not (some user reported the Fluke is not sensitive but relatively my experience is the opposite). Finally, the Klein and the Southwire are made in China (although the Southwire at least has a LED flashlight built in). The Fluke is not made in China so it is easily worth twice the price to me. You can check out the Fluke and Southwire models at Lowes (and purchase there if you like one or the other). The Klein is often on sale at HD but I really recommend against it compared to the other two.

Question:	where is the unit manufactured
Answer:	The package shows the unit to be made in China.
Question:	is there a printed color code on each side of the tool
Answer:	Only the top side. Not sure why you would need it on both sides (I use it every day at my job)
Question:	The test button on most gfci's tests with a small current between neutral and hot. does this test by making a small current between hot and ground
Answer:	A GFCI device will trip at 5mA when it detects voltage between the hot and ground wire or leaked voltage. 5mA is enough to stop the human heart. GFCI breakers are usually more sensitive than A standalone GFCI device.
Question:	Instructions in package says "all appliances on circuit should be unplugged before testing to reduce erroneous testing." Isn't that difficult
Answer:	When using the AFCI function, this device works by creating a (controlled) arc fault to verify that the upstream AFCI device correctly detects it and interrupts the circuit. Arc faults can damage other devices in the circuit, especially sensitive electronics, so it is a good idea to remove them from the circuit before introducing the arc fault.

Question:	I have purchased 2 of these, why are they so inaccurate
Answer:	Yes! I recently calibrated with 7.0. Prior to calibration, it read the 7.0 solution at 7.0, calibrated with 7.0 solution it now reads 7.18. Find the correct calibration solution
Question:	If my tap water is between 6.5 and 7.0 ph do i need to add the ph up and down liquid i bought for indoor cannabis grow? What about ppm
Answer:	Yes but these ph meters do not work very well in general. Better to either use the test strips or a reagent pool test kit
Question:	If i use a 7.0 calibration solution will the automatic calibration be off by .14 since it comes with a 6.86 calibratind powder
Answer:	If you want to turn the light OFF, you must use the switch. The toggle will still give the lights some voltage even in the so called off position.
Question:	Does the pH meter work for a saltwater swimming pool
Answer:	Good
