The only that was wrong with mine was that the NCV tip had bent. Other than that this meter has been awesome and has out lived other more expinsive namre brands. You can't go wrong with tis meter.

Answer:	the packaging was minimal. I don't recall seeing a "certificate" if you mean a calibration certificate or anything like that.

Answer:	It's not as fast as a Delta Track pocket thermometer but it's not 25 to 30 bucks either. I have 7 of these UEI's, I use the for checking discharge Air temperatures in refrigerated cases. They're very accurate, just as accurate as any Delta Track I've used. Plus, the magnet works well and the probe folds up.

Answer:	Taking a quick glance I don't see where it specifically says "Made in USA" but the manual gives an Illinois address, the manual is written in 'good English' and the tester feels solid in my hand, not flimsy like some equipment that comes with 'bad English' manuals... so make of that what you will.
Question:	Is the min/max function how you would measure inrush current on a large motor
Answer:	Clamp it on a conductor, press Max button, then start motor. I dont think this one shows has the MIN function, but after motor starts running you can turn off the max function and see what the real time current is. I havent tested that with this meter, but thats how all the others I have used worked, so id say its the same here.

Answer:	It does have have auto ranging but its a bit wonky with the amp clamp because of how it works. The auto ranging is on by default but its the press of a button to toggle it off. If youre measuring amps with the clamp, best prqctice is ti switch between the two ranges, the lower range for anything under 5 and the higher for anything over 5.
