Answer:	I can't imagine that it would NOT be resistant to any automotive coolant. It might not hurt to rinse it off with plain water, if you expose it to one of the typical coolants. Doesn't that stuff get a little gummy when it dries?

Question:	does your caliper say "shock proof" in the dial? I just got mine, and and it does not say shock proof anywhere on it
Answer:	I bought the caliper when we were at our home in Tampa FL and left it there so I can't look at the dial, but I do not remember it saying shockproof.I am satisfied with the operation and accuracy of the instrument. Do you mean electrically shockproof? It is metal and surely if exposed to a wire with voltage on it you could be shocked. If you are worried about the utility of the tool in a rough physical environment I would say it is fairly shockproof that way. Does the product description say it is "shockproof". And even if so it would not necessarily have to have that written or stamped on the instrument.

Answer:	Really? That isn't even necessary any more. There is very little doubt that it's made "in Asia" (the actual country being both immaterial and ambiguous) just like everything else in your life is made "in Asia" because people in North America and Europe are too greedy to work for small paychecks. Even those very rare things that are final-assembled in North America are built entirely of parts made somewhere in Asia, from Asian raw materials..
Question:	is anyone able to shed some light on what this tool's resolution might be? nothing is listed on this page by the manufacturer
Answer:	The scale is in 0.001 inches or 0.02 mm, so you should be able to read anything to the nearest thousandth of an inch or 2 hundredth of a millimeter.

Answer:	An excellent buy for the money and well built. And yes they are accurate. Like any precision tool, they need to be handled carefully and kept clean. I've had mine for several months and having 40 plus years experience in machine shop, would recommend them. Are they as precision as a high end Mitotoyo? Probably not, but they don't cost $200 plus. So and excellent buy for the money.

Answer:	The thickness of 5.5 mm is a little less than 1/4" so this tool should be perfectly fine for measuring the plastic.
Question:	What is the stem diameter of the gauge? I need to ensure the gauge will fit in our current fixtures without modification

Question:	what is the thread size of the indicator tip
Answer:	This tool is 0 - 1 inch capacity. Crankshaft journals are much larger unless you are referring to lawnmower or similar small engines. I have seen good accuracy and repeatability with the one I bought. The ball is used to measure surfaces with a concave curve such as the inside wall of a piece of tubing or cylindrical shape.

Answer:	The ACDC-100 is a meter that can make measurements directly. This is not intended as an accessory to connect to the 87. I suggest maybe looking into the i410 or i1010 current clamps for DC measurements.
Question:	I paid 54.99 on this item that I just got on today but now it is 36.99. Why is this
Answer:	It will read 1/4 of an amp easily before the tolerance becomes somewhat skewed. 3-5 amps won't be any trouble at all. Just make sure that you adjust to the proper range setting of your expected ampacity.
