Answer:	I believe the difference is that the kit has a swivel head on top of the legs and the stand just has a screw mount on top of the legs. A swivel mount is really useful for a traditional tripod but not as important for a gorilla pod. The swivel makes it easier to make small adjustments to angle/position but also is more likely to slip if you load it up with a heavier camera and lens.

Answer:	Yes, is how it is. The metal flat side, is a milled edge is standard on this family of levels on any length 48" or shorter. The 72" does not come with a milled surface.
Question:	What does the always remember the zero point, mean? if this is set and zeroed, can i turn it off and not need to re-zero it
Answer:	The 905-41- 24" Magnetic does not include the handle cut out that the other models have.
