This manometer measures very low pressure, most pressure is measured in lbs per sq in or PSI, gas pressure feeding into a furnace is very low ( below 1 psi) gas pressure in your home is measured in inches of water , think of counting dollars and needing to get closer to less than a dollar think of pennes 100 make a 1 dollar, same thing in less than 1 psi you have to switch to inches of water |

The two ports are used for differential pressures such as measuring air pressure drop through an air handler/furnace, etc. mWhen you are easuring gas pressure, one port stays open to read atmospheric pressure while the other (port) is reading inHg, KPa, bar, etc. |

Answer: | I just checked out my manometer. What you are experiencing is normal and correct. Because it is capable of differential readings, you have both negative and positive sides of the sensor. Much like a volt meter. You would only use the left port while doing differential measurements. The right port would be used for all others. Giving you the proper pressure/vacuum reading that you would expect. |

Answer: | Don't have the item in front of me but recall the tubes as being roughly twice the length of the electronic unit itself, so at least 12 inches long, probably longer. I recall the tubes as basically folding in half to fit into the pouch that is provided with this product. This was a one-time-use product for me but saved me the cost of an HVAC home appointment that likely would have cost me upwards of $100+. My natural gas hang-from-the-ceiling garage heater had become horribly coated with carbon black from a misadjusted pilot light. I cleaned the unit, replaced the pilot and used this pressure manometer to adjust the pilot flame to specification. Pilots been burning for more than a year now with no carbon buildup. I found this gauge to be very precise and easy to use. |

Answer: | In my opinion, yes, it will accurately measure 7" of gas pressure. It is as basic and as accurate as you an get, a simple water manometer. I've used mine to check gas pressure at a boiler and also at the inlet of a propane Generac generator. |

Answer: | I believe it has a standard fitting for relay driven gas valves like the ones used to control furnaces. If you want to measure pressure in a pipe, you need to build an adapter. Any good plumbing supply house or home center has the parts. They aren't expensive, and are reusable. Pro tip: pick up a roll of gas rated Teflon tape and use as directed. Tighten all joints securely. |

Answer: | Get a reducer 1/2"by 1/4" and conect the brass 1/4 that comes with this manometer and add water on your glass up to the 0 mark and open your gas and test your pressure. |

Answer: | A good reading would be one above the minimum gas supply pressure specification on the water heater. I have seen a drop in pressure when the air heater comes on. This may have something to do with a shared gas supply branch pipe in my case. I think the gauge is accurate. |

Answer: | It comes with a disc that has the software needed to run the camera, because of this I was unable to use my Macbook to use this camera. You might be able to download the software to a computer with a disc reader and transfer the file to another device. |
